DOG-SLEDDING
with Northern Lights Ceremony
Join us on an exciting hunt for the Northern Lights in the deep woods of Gratangen. On the hunt for the mystical and spectacular Northern Lights we drive dog-sleds in twos, with 4-6 dogs each. The trip will be led by a knowledgeable tour-guide who has their own dog-sled. The path goes through a trollish terrain between majestic mountains. After the dogsled trip we enter the Sami lavvu and find out what forces reign inside the lavvu. Learn about Sami culture and traditions from a Sami shaman. He tells the story of the Sami people, of joik, of the language, of reindeerCONTACT: Deep Forest Husky Safari Tommy Eliassen eliassentommy@yahoo.com Tel: +47 930 19 181

POLAR PARK Animal welfare is our greatest concern, and with this in mind our animals live in large enclosures with the liberty to hide in their natural surroundings. Most of them are however very social and curious, so the chance of observing them during your visit is high. If you are prepared to spend some time in the park it is more likely that you will get to see them all. The landscape around the park is breath-taking, and provides the perfect backdrop for your arctic wildlife experience. You are welcome to walk around at your own pace, or join one of our guided tours to learn more about our animals. We also have a restaurant and cafe where you can enjoy a meal created from local produce, or you can have a picnic in the park and enjoy the fresh air if the weather permits. Predator guiding is included in your entrance fee, and takes place on weekends in the winter season and every day in the summer season.

Come visit our sami siida and have an amazing time with some of our reindeers while we are waiting for the Northern light to appear on the sky.
We will pick you up on your hotel in Narvik and bring you into a small village named Beisfjord, the drive takes about 15minutes. Here you will have the possibility to help us feed the reindeers and learn about these beautiful animals, if we are lucky the magical Northern light might appear on the starry sky while we are out with the reindeers. At your stay with us you will have the chance to go into our warm and cozy lavvo and sit around the bonfire while you are enjoying a hot cup of coffee while you are barbecuing a delicious reindeer sausage on the fire. While you are sitting around the fire our guide will tell you about our sami family and you will be introduced to some old sami handicraft.
