BEACH SAFETY

Please ensure you swim between the red and yellow flags on Noosa’s patrolled beaches and follow the instructions of surf lifesavers. We recommend you always cover and protect yourself when you head out into the sun. If you find yourself without sunscreen on the beach, just ask our friendly surf lifesavers for their ready supply!

CLIMATE

Noosa is famous for its mild, subtropical climate, with an average annual temperature of 25°C. Our water temperature ranges from 19°C in winter to 25°C in summer. GETTING TO NOOSA

Travel to Noosa by air, road or rail! Sunshine Coast Airport, about 30 minutes away, has direct flights from some Australian capital cities – see sunshinecoastairport.com.au for routes. Brisbane Airport, Queensland’s domestic and international gateway, is 1½ hours south along the Bruce Highway. Car hire and transfer services are available. When travelling along Australia’s East Coast, Noosa is not far from the highway, via Cooroy or Eumundi. National bus services stop here, and trains from Brisbane stop at Nambour and nearby Cooroy, connecting to Noosa via public bus services.

Jump on and off a ferry along the river from Noosa Marina to Hastings Street in Noosa Heads, with stops at Noosaville along the way. Hire a bike and make the most of our extensive network of paths.
