DINNER WITH A VIEW

If ocean views are on your wish list, here are a few of the best. Sails is right on Noosa’s Main Beach, with a comprehensive wine list and emphasis on seafood. Stroll along the beachfront boardwalk to Season Restaurant & Bar for all-day dining with fresh, seasonal produce and stunning views. Boardwalk Bistro and Bistro C sit side by side on the beachfront for all-day dining and sunset cocktails. Surf clubs have the best ocean views and the Noosa Heads and Sunshine Beach clubs don’t disappoint. Follow the river to Rickys, perched on the water and renowned for fine dining. Some of Noosaville’s best restaurants with river views are on Gympie Terrace, including Noosa Boathouse’s three levels of dining, Thomas Corner Eatery and Gusto Noosa with their focus on seasonal produce, and 250 Grammi and Noosa Waterfront for authentic Italian. On Noosa Hill is View by Matt Golinski with local delicacies and a spectacular panorama.

EASTERN INFLUENCES

With a passion for Asian cuisine and culture, the team from Sum Yung Guys in Sunshine Beach (moving to Noosaville in 2021) have crafted a pan-Asian menu that’s perfect for sharing with friends. The innovative drinks menu features Asian-inspired cocktails including their gin collaboration with Noosa’s Fortune Distillery. The new-look XO Sunshine Beach is a favourite with their modern Asian flavours and luscious bar bites. In Hastings Street, O-Ren Brewhouse and Modern Asian Restaurant serves up a fusion of funky cocktails, craft beers and share-style cuisine. In Noosa Junction, Sumi Open Kitchen’s Japanese menu tastes as beautiful as it looks; Mr Drifter Spice Trade is a bar-come-restaurant serving street food; Light Years Asian Bar & Diner has dumplings, bao buns, rendangs and curries; and Pucca’s southern coastal Indian street food under the fairy lights is perfect with a drink from their gin cocktail bar.
