66 SAN DIEGO ATTENDEE GUIDE 2O17-2O18
TO PREPARE
Place seabass portions in dredging flour. Coat fish with flour and shake off excess. Dip fish in beer batter and place in frying oil at 370 degrees. Fry until golden brown and cooked through. Place fish on a sheet pan and place in a 200 degree oven to keep warm. Heat 6 corn tortillas with a little oil in a frying pan.
TO BUILD
Place a little cabbage on tortilla. Place fish on top of cabbage. Add more cabbage and drizzle with white sauce. Garnish with lime wedges. Serve with salsa quemada/stewed pinto beans/tortilla chips and ice cold beer. Perfecto!

WHAT’S NEW AT THE
SAN DIEGO CONVENTION CENTER
We have a lot of new upgrades and changes here at the San Diego Convention Center. In an effort to continue to improve upon your experience during events, here are some of the big changes you’ll see (and may not have known)!
LEED GOLD
The San Diego Convention Center received a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2017. That makes our building one of the most sustainable convention centers in the business. Fun Fact: Did you know we diverted 79 percent of our trash from landfills? We also recycle 100 percent of all cardboard!
SAILS PAVILION UPGRADES
Not only is there a new concrete floor in our 90,000 square foot iconic Sails Pavilion, but come 2018, the famous fabric sail roof will be brand new too! Quite the renovation.
ESCALATOR, ELEVATOR RENOVATIONS
We carry a lot of folks up and down this building! This year, a total of eight escalators and nine elevators will be modernized.
NEW CHAIRS
Sitting in a keynote just got more comfortable. Our Board of Directors approved the purchase of 10,000 brand new folding chairs for 2017.

DAY 3
Today, let Old Town Trolley Tours take you wherever you want to go with fully-narrated sightseeing tours that travel all over the city, from Old Town to Coronado. A more adventurous option is Pedal to the Medal Cycling, offering bike rentals and road or mountain bike tours for cyclists of all skill levels. If you’re interested in something a little more extreme, try indoor skydiving at Airborne San Diego in East Village, the only attraction of its kind with two 30-foot wind tubes. (Set to open Summer 2017)
