MARKET MASTERPIECE
FOR THE COVER OF THIS ISSUE, MULTITALENTED CREATIVE MARK BO CHU CAPTURES THE SPIRIT AND ENERGY OF ONE OF MELBOURNE’S FAVOURITE ATTRACTIONS.
FINDING DEEPER MEANING
For artist Mark Bo Chu, inspiration comes from the streets. “I travel the span of Melbourne to eat, to see and to live life,” he says. “I always pry under the skin, even at my own dinner table, which can annoy those around me.”
He hasn’t always been an artist, although he’s always been surrounded by creative culture, from the time he trained as a concert pianist – “at the age of 14 I made solo recordings with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra” – to studying an MFA in fiction at Columbia University.
LIFE INSPIRES ART
Mark has painted more over the past few years, since finding a deeper appreciation for public spaces, although he’s also exhibited in New York and Shanghai.
“I found a groove painting Melbourne, and it’s the best job because I study while I paint,” he says. “I taught myself how to be a scientist in digital humanities. Recently our research team published a paper about how online images amplify gender bias in Nature, the world’s top research journal.”
The city also allows him to indulge his interest in two scenes: hospitality and underground electronic music. “Gilson (South Yarra) is my everyday spot for a coffee, with the best barista in town Lio. I love Skydiver in Collingwood, Quiet Time in Clifton Hill and Waxflower in Brunswick East, especially if The Tortoise is DJing.”
DELI INDULGENCE
When spring arrives, Mark takes the time to walk. “The sun is sharp and nature offers up its colours again,” he says of this time of year. “It’s not quite warm enough to be out all day, so a stroll through the deli section of a market is just the thing.
“My cover shows the energy of first laying eyes on the rich larder at Queen Victoria Market. This cover is also a confession. I’m a deli fanatic. I can’t even do carbs with cheese. It has to be straight. Cheese is good in the bath; it’s better in bed. I call that horizontal decadence.” + instagram.com/markbochu

MELBOURNE VIXENS’ CAPTAIN AND AUSTRALIAN DIAMONDS’ MIDCOURTER KATE MOLONEY IS BEYOND EXCITED THIS YEAR’S CONSTELLATION CUP WRAPS UP IN HER HOME TOWN.
BRING ON THE BRILLIANCE
The Australian Diamonds and the New Zealand Silver Ferns are currently the best netball teams in the world and have been battling it out on the court since the 1930s. This year, the Diamonds will encounter two formidable international opponents in quick succession. The first in a test match against the England Roses in Bendigo in September. Then the Diamonds will once again face off against their long-time rivals, the Silver Ferns, at this year’s Constellation Cup.
This four-game series has been played since 2010, with the Diamonds winning 11 of the 13 series. It’s a trend Kate Moloney hopes to continue when the final game of the series is played at John Cain Arena on 30 October.
WHAT’S THE COMPETITION LIKE WITH THE SILVER FERNS?
It is one of the greatest rivalries in elite sport – for netball, it’s our oldest and fiercest rivalry. There is so much respect between both teams and, on the court, you can always count on it going down to the wire.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT PLAYING NETBALL IN MELBOURNE?
As Diamonds, we love nothing more than playing in front of our home crowd, and for me to play in Melbourne is even more special. To be able to have my family and friends at the game is something I love.
WHAT SETS MELBOURNE APART WHEN IT COMES TO SPORT?
In my opinion, it’s the sporting capital of the world! Melbourne's home to
some of the best sporting events, like the Australian Open, Grand Prix and Melbourne Cup. We’re incredibly lucky to have these events on our doorstep.
WHEN YOU’RE NOT ON COURT WHERE DO YOU SPEND TIME?
Usually with family and friends, or trying out brunch spots. A few of my favourites are A Thousand Blessings, Cheeky Monkey and My Oh My in Richmond, and Dundas & Faussett in Albert Park.
WHAT’S YOUR TOP PICK FOR SPRING?
I love the vibe in Melbourne all year round, but particularly in spring when the sun starts to come out again. I love something as simple as grabbing a coffee from Gilson and taking a walk around the Tan. When it comes to sport in Melbourne, it doesn’t get much bigger than the Spring Racing Carnival and the AFL finals.

90 YEARS OF REMEMBRANCE
Discover the rich heritage and profound legacy of Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance as it commemorates its ninetieth anniversary. For nine decades, the Shrine has stood as a powerful symbol of reverence and reflection, honouring the sacrifices of Australia’s servicepeople. This milestone year offers a unique opportunity to experience the Shrine like never before, with special commemorative events, immersive programs and interactive exhibitions.
SERVICE AND SACRIFICE
Central to the celebrations is Remembrance Day (11 November). At 11am, a Ray of Light illuminates the Stone of Remembrance in the Shrine’s Sanctuary, marking the time the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War. For the 10 days leading up to Remembrance Day, the Shrine will be illuminated red each evening.
Visitors can engage with the Shrine’s history through the expansive, free museum and sacred ceremonial spaces, and enjoy some of the best views in Melbourne from the Shrine’s balcony. Hourly guided tours reveal the stories behind this monumental landmark.
ART OF WAR
The Shrine also hosts exhibitions throughout the year. The newest is Designing Remembrance: Alternate Visions for Victoria’s War Memorial It displays entries from the 1921 War Memorial design competition. See detailed plans, conceptual drawings, and correspondence and
conversations between designers and builders from the 1920s that reveal insights into the creative process behind the Shrine’s inception.
Another exhibition Trenches to Runway, looks at the influence military uniforms have had on the world of fashion. Permanent exhibitions provide a chronological journey through Australia's wartime history, showcasing more than 800 artworks and historical artefacts. Highlights include an original Gallipoli landing boat and personal items that depict the experiences of Australians in war and peacekeeping operations from the 1850s to the present.
Join us in honouring this remarkable milestone. The Shrine of Remembrance continues to inspire and resonate. Visit and experience history in the heart of Melbourne.

CARVED IN HISTORY
RIGHT ACROSS VICTORIA, YOU’LL FIND HUGE TREES WITH PIECES CUT FROM THEIR BARK. THESE SCAR TREES ONCE PROVIDED IMPORTANT RESOURCES FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE KULIN NATION.
LEFT WITH A SCAR
First Peoples once cut bark from mature trees, usually box or red gum, to make canoes, containers and shields. They’d use stone axes (metal ones once Europeans had arrived) to cut long parallel lines in a tree then lever the bark off. It was a way for them to gather precious resources without killing the tree. On the sections of the tree where bark was removed, the underlying wood weathered and cracked and some trees bear these scars permanently.
These trees, scattered in towns and forests across Victoria, are important markers of culture. Because wood degrades, few Indigenous artefacts made from it are held in museums and galleries. The trees, many of them still living, are important archaeological sites.
FINDING A SCAR TREE
If you’re walking along a deserted riverbank or in a forest, you might find
what you think is a scar tree. European settlers also took bark from trees for different purposes, but usually left a much more rectangular shape on the tree. On a scar tree, the exposed sapwood will be curved at either end. There may be axe marks still visible on the wood, but often the bark will have grown back.
Scar trees are protected by law in Victoria. If you think you’ve found one, take photographs and note where you found it to report your discovery to the First Peoples – State Relations, which leads the way on cultural heritage management.
A TIMELESS TREE
If you head to Yarra Park, which borders the MCG, you can view an ancient scar tree in Melbourne. The tree, thought to be between 200 and 800 years old, is fenced off to protect it from the crowds going to the ground. There is another scar tree across the road in Fitzroy Gardens. The Scar Tree
Walk facilitated by the Koorie Heritage Trust based in Fed Square can be offered to small private tours. It’s not surprising these ancient sites still exist in this location; for thousands of years, the area around what is now Melbourne’s sporting precinct was an important meeting ground for the Kulin Nation.

500 YEARS OF GENIUS
MOST PEOPLE KNOW HIM AS AN ARTIST, BUT A NEW EXHIBITION AT THE LUME MELBOURNE SHOWS HOW LEONARDO DA VINCI CHANGED THE WORLD.
RENAISSANCE MAN
Trained in Florence as a painter, Leonardo da Vinci is identified as one of the greatest artists in Western history despite creating fewer than 25 major works. That could be an issue for anyone organising an exhibition of his work, but for THE LUME Melbourne
team it was an invitation to explore his other legacies, in science, engineering, architecture and more.
“We’ve been able to bring in a lot of artefacts,” says head of visitor experiences Gary Moynihan.
“We’ve secured original Leonardo
drawings, and we’ve brought some of his inventions to life.” All add to the multisensory experience for which THE LUME Melbourne is known.
A DEEPER LOOK
Think you know the Mona Lisa? Using a special camera he invented, French
engineer Pascal Cotte was able to delve into its layers. His findings have been used to make a 360-degree recreation of the famous painting.
“He was able to go right back to when Leonardo painted it and understand what the colours would have been
like originally,” says Moynihan. “He could see cracks in the wood and little marks from when Napoleon had it in his bathroom. These are fascinating stories that go beyond the image everyone knows and loves.”
AUSTRALIAN FIRSTS
“Da Vinci’s earliest memory was of a bird flying into his creche as a baby,” says Moynihan. “That stuck with him all his life and triggered this fascination with human flight.”
Using VR and haptic technology, guests can fly over the modern city, making reference to da Vinci's early fascination with flight in the mechanics of birds. “It requires the visitor to climb onboard,” says Moynihan. “Your arms are stretched out and wind blows in your hair.”
In an Australian exclusive, pages from his Codex Atlanticus notebooks are also on display. After three months, they must be returned to Italy to recover from the light exposure. Get in quick or you might miss them. + thelumemelbourne.com

SHOPPING SCENE
YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO FROM PLACE TO PLACE TO FIND YOUR STYLE. RETAIL GOES LARGE IN EACH OF THESE PRECINCTS, SERVING A VAST RANGE OF OFFERINGS.
VINTAGE VIBES
If you’re supporting sustainability by never buying anything new, we’ve got great news: Melbourne is especially great for preloved fashion. Head to Smith Street in Fitzroy for some great vintage stores, including Shag, Fugu Wears, Shappere and Vintage Garage. Brunswick’s Sydney Road is another
place worth exploring. Mutual Muse and Goodbyes stock more recent preloved clothes, and there are plenty of other vintage stores. But if you’re looking for a bargain, head to huge Savers or one of the other op shops – Don Bosco, Salvos Stores, Sacred Heart – along the strip. + sydneyroad.com.au
LUXURY LOOKS
The latest fashion from Paris and beyond isn’t far away. At the top end of Collins Street – what some people call the Spring Street end and others the Paris end – you’ll find windows filled with designer clothing and accessories. If your tastes veer to Prada, Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Dior, you can shop to your heart’s content here. Also worth checking out is Harrolds, an upmarket fashion retailer stocking a bounty of labels, including Balmain, Alexander McQueen and Rick Owens. If you’re keen to get out of the city, Chadstone – The Fashion Capital has a luxury precinct with many of the same stores among its 500 retailers. + collinsstreet.com.au + chadstone.com.au
SIZE MATTERS
Treat Chapel Street as a marathon rather than a sprint. This long thoroughfare stretches from the suburb of South Yarra, through Prahran and into Windsor. Along its length, there are stores, galleries and cafes to explore. If you’re starting at the South Yarra end, you’ll find Australian labels like Gorman and Saba. Further along is Chapel Street Bazaar, with rare vintage finds. At lunchtime, drop into Middletown, a chic cafe with an outstanding all-day brunch menu. + chapelstreet.com.au

SUSTAINABLE STREET STYLE
LIZ SUNSHINE IS AN ESTABLISHED AUSTRALIAN PHOTOGRAPHER WITH A KEEN EYE FOR FRESH STREET TRENDS. SHE WORKS WITH TOP FASHION BRANDS AND QUESTIONS OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CLOTHES. HERE’S HER TAKE ON MELBOURNE STYLE.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE WAY MELBURNIANS DRESS?
Our celebration of individuality and acceptance of our differences allow for an open playing field when it comes to our wardrobes. Dress codes interpreted widely and with ease mean, in Melbourne, there is no right or wrong way to dress.
DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE.
It is defined by my values. I ask myself questions like: How long will I own this piece? What is it made from? Who made it? And what does this piece say about me? Australia is now the largest consumer of textiles in the world, and consuming less has helped me find a signature style I hope others will be inspired by.
WHAT SPRING TRENDS ARE WE LIKELY TO SEE THIS SEASON?
A Melbourne spring feels defined by a roller coaster of seasonal weather –wet days, bright sun, cold snaps and everything in between. Given that, we’ll continue to see coloured tights follow us into September/October, possibly worn with lighter summery fabrics and wintery textural jackets.
WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE PLACES TO SHOP?
Stores that sell vintage, archival and second-hand designer pieces, like Swop, Bruce and The Connie Collector
WHAT DO YOU THINK PEOPLE WILL BE WEARING FOR THE SPRING RACING CARNIVAL?
My favourite looks at the races are always handmade, with individuals hiring or collaborating with local designers or makers to play within the dress codes. More women will hire their outfits and headwear, opting for a more sustainable approach to event dressing. + instagram.com/lizsunshine

FEEL THE BEAT
THERE ARE LIVE MUSIC VENUES RIGHT ACROSS MELBOURNE, WHERE YOU CAN HEAR ANYTHING FROM A STRING QUARTET TO THE NEWEST ROCK SENSATIONS, ALL ACCESSIBLE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT. HERE’S WHERE TO START.
CLASSIC ROCK
There are some live music venues that have been around for so long you can’t imagine Melbourne without them. Which was why there was such a fight to save The Tote, an old-school pub in Collingwood that, since 1981, has had some of the greatest names in music on its stage. Now, its scene tends towards rock and punk. US punk rock band Teenage Bottlerocket hit the stage on 30 September. Then there’s the storied Hotel Esplanade in St Kilda – better known as the Espy – where acts from around the world perform in the Gershwin Room. Trams run every 10 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD to St Kilda. Catch the route 16, 96, 12 or 3 trams from various points in the city and make your way to the fun.
+ thetotehotel.com
+ hotelesplanade.com.au
THREE OF THE BEST
The northern suburbs are renowned for live venues. Hop off the train at Northcote Station and head to Northcote Social Club, with its jampacked roster. Check out legendary Oz rockers Bluebottle Kiss and Screamfeeder on 9 November. The band room at the nearby Croxton Hotel is one of the bigger pub venues in Melbourne, so it’s the chosen destination for the likes of Gomez’s Ben Ottewell and Ian Ball (7 November). Closer to the city, and a few minutes’ walk from Richmond Station, is Corner Hotel, where you can have dinner on the rooftop before catching a local or international act, like Grace Petrie (2 October), downstairs in the band room.

A DIFFERENT NOTE
It’s not just rock, hip-hop and contemporary music that gets to shine. If you're a lover of bebop and the like, take the train from Flinders Station to Brunswick and stroll to The Jazzlab for performances from Australian and international musicians. Seven-time ARIA winner, David Bridie (2 November), brings his unique style to the venue in a show sure to sell out. At Brunswick’s Tempo Rubato see the work of Melbourne’s finest classical musicians and composers. Over in Preston, owner Andrew Bianco built Ragtime Tavern around a baby grand piano. There’s an open mic on Thursday and different gigs – they could be funk, folk, jazz or country –on the weekend, as well as a jazz jam session on Sunday evenings.

VICTORIA’S REGIONS
SPRING IS THE PERFECT TIME TO EXPLORE EVERY CORNER OF VICTORIA. THE WILDLIFE IS THRIVING, AND FLOWERS TURN THE LANDSCAPE ALL THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW.
FESTIVAL FUN
More than 53,000 flowers bloom along Pall Mall and in the Conservatory Garden and other locations, bringing a colourful display to the city during the Bendigo Annual Tulip Display. The timing of the display depends on the weather, but the tulips usually appear between mid-September and mid-October. There are even more pretty bulbs on display at Tesselaar
Tulip Festival (14 September – 13 October) in the Dandenong Ranges. Take a picnic and enjoy the views of more than a million flowers. See more blooms at nearby CherryHill Orchards’ Cherry Blossom Festival (14 September – 6 October). See beautiful native flowers, picked from local gardens and artistically arranged at the Pomonal Native Flower Show (21–22 September).

WALKS IN THE WILD
Just an hour out of Melbourne is the You Yangs Regional Park. With magnificent views from spots like Flinders Peak and Big Rock, it’s a
popular destination for bushwalkers. It is also a rich habitat for wildlife, including echidnas, kangaroos, koalas and more than 200 species of birds. Plus, during spring, all the wildflowers are out. It’s a gorgeous time of year to visit the Gippsland Lakes. On Raymond Island, walk the twokilometre koala trail to see these fluffy creatures in the wild. The nearby Eagle Point Loop Walk is short, easy and takes in a flora and fauna reserve.

IN BLOOM
Ballarat Botanical Gardens are beautiful at any time of year but during spring the Robert Clark Conservatory has a glorious display of schizanthus (also called butterfly flowers) and bulbs. The conservatory is free to visit and open daily between 9am and 4.30pm. The Grampians is famous for its annual display of spring wildflowers, ranging from native orchids to masses of acacias, but the fields of canola also bloom at this time of year, turning the landscape yellow.

GET OUTSIDE
TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND BE INVIGORATED BY THE FRESH AIR. GETTING BACK TO NATURE IN VICTORIA’S REGIONS CAN REFRESH BODY AND SOUL.
HOW’S THE VIEW?
About 8,000 years ago, a volcano near Mount Napier in Victoria’s southwest erupted, covering the landscape in lava. Now, at Harmans Valley Lookout, you can see the natural formations it made. It’s about four kilometres from the township of Byaduk on the Hamilton-Port Fairy Road. ♦ Head to Phillip Island to take on the Cape Woolamai Walk. Following the clifftop, it offers spectacular views of the island, thundering ocean and pink granite pinnacle rocks. Plus, in October, thousands of shearwaters begin arriving to breed.

ANIMAL MAGIC
Celebrate the arrival of spring at Ballarat Wildlife Park. A seasonal highlight for visitors is seeing the new-season kangaroo joeys and baby koalas from just metres away. ♦ Get close to some of Australia’s favourite native animals at Maru Koala & Animal Park. The park’s animal experiences allow you to meet and learn more about creatures such as koalas, dingos and pythons. ♦ Take a walk on the wild side at Wildlife Wonders on the Great Ocean Road. Take a 75-minute tour through the Otways bushland and find out all about the plants and animals that live there.

WONDERFUL WATERFALLS
The landscape appears to have dropped away suddenly and water dramatically cascades into the gorge. That’s the view you get at Lal Lal Falls, just a 20-minute drive from Ballarat. The viewing platform is just a short 200-metre walk from the car park or go a little further for a long-distance view across the gorge. ♦ Spring is one of the best times of year to see Trentham Falls, at 32 metres high, the tallest single-drop waterfall in the area. It’s surrounded by a 24-hectare reserve filled with native plants that flower during spring. ♦ You can walk from the town of Marysville to Steavenson Falls, which plummets 84 metres into the pool below.

THE BALLARAT BUZZ
IT’S ALL HAPPENING THIS SPRING, WITH EXHIBITIONS, FESTIVALS AND MUSIC TAKING OVER THE CITY’S BEST-LOVED CULTURAL SITES.
Food, Fire and Light
LET THERE BE ROCK
For those who rock, we salute you! Medieval to Metal: The Art & Evolution of the Guitar is exclusive to the Art Gallery of Ballarat (from 12 October). Featuring 40 guitars on loan from the USA’s National Guitar Museum, the exhibition traces the history of the world’s most popular instrument, from its medieval beginnings through to the guitar’s pivotal role in pop culture today.
To complement the guitars, there’s a display of images by renowned rock photographer Neil Zlozower and Australian music documenter Tony Mott, alongside a captivating assemblage of paintings, drawings, illustrative designs and objects celebrating the stories behind the instruments that made the stars.
FIRESIDE FESTIVAL
When darkness descends over Sovereign Hill, the transformation begins. There’s the aroma of cooking bush foods, crackling fires, illuminated art installations, storytelling, roving performers and music. Welcome to Food, Fire and Light, a new evening experience fusing history, art, culture, music and food across two weekends in October (12–13 and 19–20 October).
But this isn’t your average evening festival. This special event is deeply rooted in the past but with a modern twist. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the landscape, Food, Fire and Light lets you experience the pulsating nightlife of Ballarat’s gold rush era.
ART AFTER HOURS
Once a month, the Art Gallery of Ballarat opens its doors on a Saturday night for Art Late, a late-night experience of music, art, supper, sweets and a bar. Kicking off the spring program is a night with Australian folk diviner Leah Senior (14 September) to complement the exhibition Clarice Beckett: Paintings from the National Collection (until 24 November). The guitar is amplified across three major Art Late events during Medieval to Metal, highlighting the instrument across varying genres. Experience psych-country rockers Rose City Band all the way from the USA (19 October), local Melbourne rock legends RVG (2 November) and popular punk outfit CIVIC (30 November).
WALK TO NATURE
YOU DON’T NEED A CAR TO TACKLE SOME OF VICTORIA’S BEST HIKES. THESE WILD WALKS ARE WITHIN REACH USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT.
IN A DAY
If you’re on a tight itinerary, catch the train to Upper Ferntree Gully then jump aboard the 688 bus to get to the start of the Sherbrooke Falls Walk You’ll trek through lush temperate rainforest, with towering mountain ash trees and huge tree ferns. Walk quietly and you might hear lyrebirds calling or spot other wildlife. The whole walk takes less than an hour. Catch the train to Lilydale Station, where you’ll
find the start of the 38-kilometre Warburton Rail Trail. Once the line along which produce was ferried to Melbourne, it’s now a pathway suitable for walkers and cyclists. It winds its way across restored bridges, through farmland and forests, and past Yarra Valley villages. If you want a long walk, head to Seville – almost 16 kilometres away – where you can catch the 683 bus back to Lilydale Station. + visityarravalley.com.au
SEASIDE VISION
The Surf Coast Walk is a 44-kilometre trail that stretches from Point Impossible near Torquay to Fairhaven. One of the most scenic sections stretches from Anglesea along bluffs, down to Point Roadknight Beach and along the sand to Urquhart Bluff then through bushland to Aireys Lighthouse. GET OUT OF TOWN
FOR A SPOT OF REST AND RELAXATION. IT’S PERFECT FOR BODY AND SOUL.
SOAK AWAY
Kick back in pools overlooking the breathtaking Gippsland Lakes at Metung Hot Springs. ♦ The architectural detail at Alba Thermal Springs on the Mornington Peninsula is a real eye-catcher, but it’s the various peaceful pools that provide an escape from the everyday. Make a day of it by booking a luxe treatment in the spa. ♦ Soak in the natural spring water at Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, an institution in the region since 1895. + metunghotsprings.com + albathermalsprings.com.au + hepburnbathhouse.com
NATURAL HEALING
Immersing yourself in nature and slowly and mindfully appreciating the beauty around you is a Japanese practice known as shinrin-yoku or forest bathing. Leave your devices in the car, breathe deeply and listen
to the birdsong. Victoria has many beautiful forests, but we recommend the Californian Redwood Forest near Warburton, the RJ Hamer Arboretum near Olinda and the various walking trails in the Great Otway National Park to give forest bathing a go. + parks.vic.gov.au
OUT OF TOWN
Stay overnight in the bush and feel your senses instantly revive. At Nook on the Hill, a sustainably built house
in the foothills of the Grampians, you can soak in the outdoor bath with its impressive view. ♦ Modern Japaneseinfluenced design and recycled materials come together at Liptrap Loft near Gippsland’s Walkerville. PICNIC PLACES
The Gippsland town of Walhalla was once a gold-mining community. Now, only 20 people live there, but there’s plenty to explore. Spread your rug in the picnic area across the road from the Corner Stores when you’re hungry. Book one of the picnic experiences at Green Olive at Red Hill, and simply decide if you want to eat in the olive grove or by the dam. ♦ In 2013, landscape designer Phillip Johnson won Best in Show at the Chelsea Flower Show and has re-created his Australian Garden at the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden in Olinda. It’s 20 times bigger than the Chelsea entry and includes 400 species of Australian native plants. There are some beautiful, grassed areas where you can bring your picnic.

RAISE A GLASS
Although untamed and largely undiscovered, the Pyrenees wine region, near Ballarat, is one worth exploring. There are more than 20 wineries in the area, including Wayward, Summerfield Wines, Dalwhinnie and Taltarni. Blend your own gin during a workshop at Mrs Baker’s Still House, a micro-distillery in the Pyrenees with a focus on botanicals grown on-site or foraged nearby.
