BENIDORM FIRE STATION GROWING
PLANS have been confirmed to expand Benidorm’s fire station, both in size and number of personnel. The facilities at the Salto del Agua are increasing from 1,500 square meters to 2,000
while there will no longer be the unsuitable situation of vehicles and staff sharing space. The living area for onsite staff is also to be improved with the kitchens, lockers, bedrooms and communal
areas all being refurbished. Additionally there will be at least 12 firefighters on site at all times as opposed to the current nine. The number of shift-working staff will increase from 12 to 16. The
works are due to be completed by the end of the year, said Deputy Emergencies Councillor Jaime Lloret who made the announcement last week when visiting the station.
