Planting deep roots of education and empowering education as power CTC I E F e n d ea vo rs to e n s u re t h e c i t i ze n r y understanding of the significance of the SDGs and the status of the global response to sustainable development. This is achieved through inviting a diverse coterie of subject matter experts to prepare Taiwan ’s first educational monograph on the “Sustainable Development Goals”. The work calls for reconsidering and evaluating our domestic lifestyles, the economic f ra m e w o r k , a n d p r o d u c t i o n a n d co n s u m pt i o n modalities. Proposals are advanced for the government, public and NGOs to consider to foster sustainability responsive policies and plans. The work can serve as a textbook for university, as well as serving as a reference for research institutes and thinktanks, with the goal of enhancing the importance attached to sustainability knowledge and awareness by industry, academia, and the research sectors. Additionally, along with CCS and TAISE, and public opinion polling firms, we jointly conducted public opinion surveys, aiming to elucidate objective and neutral data on current Taiwan energy observations, for use by the relevant organizations in planning, preparing, and promoting their relevant policies.
