• Entry $5.00 • Sites (generous size) $25 on the day or $20 paid by Friday 14th September. • All types of VW related vehicles catered for, principally VW, Karmann Ghia & Porsche. • Food available on site & in the vicinity. • Site entry for buyers is strictly 9am & sellers from 8am. • Come to a swap meet where every stall will have VW parts. Organisers expect over 1000 buyers & around 70 sites.
President’s Report Michael Cronin, VWCV President
Hello for another month, with the AGM on the 18th September this may be my last report, as who knows who will be President next month? With that in mind I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the members for their support during the year and especially the committee, it has been a fairly busy year and only likely to get busier. The general meeting at the Boathouse was a great night for socialising but unfortunately not that practical for the general meeting part, although it did result in a quick meeting. For those who went please give the committee feedback, if you think it is a good idea we could have a couple of these during the year. Unfortunately I could not make the train trip to Drysdale but I am sure as usual it was a good day and thanks again to Kingsley for organising it.
September is looking like a quiet month which will give us time to rest up for the end of the year. Oct and Nov will be busy as we have the Bacchus Marsh swap meet, The Oktoberfest, Melbourne Cup weekend trip and don’t forget the DOTVW with the Christmas general meeting finishing off the year. If we give Kingsley enough hints he may come up with something different to round out the year. Any suggestions please let me know. In closing a reminder that the planning for the BUG IN 2009 in will be starting in the New Year so anyone with ideas, don’t be shy, pass them on as we want this to be the best event in its history.
