THE V UNIVERSITY FORUM OF EYP ESTONIA The V University Forum of EYP Estonia will take place from the 19th to the 23rd April in Tallinn, Estonia. We are now looking for up to 8 Media Team Members to join the forum and work with the session Editors, Leo Sjöberg and Veronika Wilhelmová The Forum will focus on economic problems that Europe is currently facing. Therefore, the Forum will take place under the theme: “Shaping our Future - Shaping the Economy”.

ABOUT THE FORUM ARRIVAL TIME Media Team Members are expected to arrive on the 18th April at 9AM the latest and can depart after 8PM on the 23rd April.
PROGRAMME The programme of the Forum includes all of the traditional parts of an EYP events: Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly. In addition, innovative session elements such as Conciliation Sessions or similar forms of interactive exchange between the committees will be incorporated into the programme. The Forum will include open lectures featuring external speakers, which will be open to the public. With those lectures we are aiming to make our Forum more inclusive and to promote active citizenship.
PARTICIPANTS The Forum will gather around 100 delegates from all around Europe. The delegates of the Forum will be university students aged 18-26.
THE CALL FOR MEDIA TEAM MEMBERS Creating something requires focus. Only when we have said no a thousand times, can we then say yes, confident that our design is one that implicates crafting around our intention. We think about purpose, and what drives purpose. We think about the message, the medium, and the audience. We think about how to convey our message, to further our purpose. FURTHER INFORMATION You are expected to on the 23rd April. The selection panel will consist of the Session Editors and a representative of EYP Estonia. Each application will be reviewed thoroughly and applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process individually. ABOUT ESTONIA Estonia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland, to the west by the Baltic Sea, to the south by Latvia, and to the east by Lake Peipsi and Russia. Only 14% of the population profess any religious beliefs. • The Estonian language is a finno-ugric language – resembles most to Finnish and is different from Latvian and Russian language. • Estonia has two Independence Days. It first achieved independence from the Soviet Union on February 24, 1918 and again on August 20, 1991 after 51 years of occupation. The second date is known as the “Restoration of Independence Day”.

ABOUT TALLINN First established in the early medieval era, today’s Tallinn is an exciting mix of old and new. Being the capital, it has about 400,000 inhabitants and yet it is home to the most intact, and UNESCO protected, medieval city centre in the world.
