U3A North Canterbury

U3A North Canterbury is looking forward to Tuesday 28 March 2023, their third meeting for the year. Professor Peter Deardon from Genetics Aotearoa will talk about Gene Editing, Genetic Engineering and Breakthroughs in DNA technology. This is a topic very relevant for today’s society as we look at the wide range of issues we are dealing with. The meeting will be held in the Rangiora Baptist Church Auditorium at 10am.

Membership of the club is open to those over 55 years old. It enables people to attend a monthly address on a range of topics, plus participate in the activities of a range of special interest groups such as History, Environment, Current Affairs, Art Appreciation, Books, Poetry, Singing for Health, Significant Films of the 20th Century, Epicurean et al.
