4 FAMILY ROGAINE

10am – 1pm – Railway Reserve, Kaiapoi, Waimakariri Regional Park

Join Environment Canterbury and the team from Wicked Rogaines for a fun 60-minute family rogaine (cross country navigation) and enjoy a free BBQ at the end!

Open to all ages and abilities, this is your chance to get outdoors and have fun hunting for checkpoints. Be sure to bring comfy clothes, a water bottle, and a compass.

Registration from 9am. Teams of 2 –6 people.

$25 per family (two adults and minimum one child under 14 years). $20pp for the team event.

Trousselot, The Band Magic and other invited guests – this is the perfect family day out. Free.

5 RAKAHURI RAGE

10 am – 4pm - Rakahuri Trail and Stop Banks off River Road – access from 100m west of the north end of West Belt

Get your team of 2 – 4 riders together (or ride solo) and race to see which team can complete the most laps of the 6km course in 6 hours. This family-friendly event offers a challenge for riders of all skill levels and experience and is open to those 12 years and older.

$35 - $55 per rider.

Grab a picnic and head to Mainpower Oval to watch a spot of cricket occurring on two fantastic days. Free.

5 BOULDER COPPER SOUNDS FAMILY MUSIC EVENT

Bring a picnic and spend the day in the beautiful Silverstream Reserve as you listen to ‘50s and ‘60s music. Played by a range of musicians, including singer and pianist Kris

Known as Australasia’s foremost female Boogie & Blues piano player and singer, Jan Preston delivers high energy performances which, together with her sultry blues voice and candid humour, has given her longstanding popularity in Australia, New Zealand and overseas.

$35 Adults, $15 Students.

12 KAIAPOI FUN RUN & WALK

8.30am – 12 pm – Murphy Park, Raven Quay, Kaiapoi

Challenge yourself to a 5km or 10km run (or walk!) alongside the Kaiapoi River and in to Silverstream. With plenty of spot prizes up for grabs, this will be a fabulous day out in the fresh air.

Please register online for this event. $10 per person.

Watch this vibrant food and music food affair transform Victoria Park into a magical setting of sound and light. Come early for the family fun and stay on for an evening under the stars. Peruse the market stalls and check out the food vendors in New Worlds Food Zone which includes a licenced area. Free (koha, donations welcome).

North Canterbury Soroptimists will celebrate International Women's Day with a breakfast to be held at the Rangiora RSA on Wednesday 8 March from 7.30-8.30am. Proceeds to Ovarian Cancer awareness.

Guest speakers will be Dr. Sue Bagshaw, who specialises in the health of young people, and Abby Foy, a fashion designer specialising in innovation in Australia.

The inaugural Market in the Park injected over 100k back into the North Canterbury district and our participants have begged us to do it again...so...we made it bi-annual in autumn and spring!

An autumn Market we can all look forward to! Elevate Market in the Park has been designed to support and promote local businesses. A retail market with a wide assortment of market stalls and food vendors. A spectacular display of local products and our people, where the community can meet safely outdoors to support our local businesses.

Join us for a standout community event in Rangiora's stunning Victoria Park whilst enjoying live music, live busking shows, kids' circus party, bouncy castles the fabulous onsite playground and the array of markets for all your retail, food and beverage needs. Please support our local businesses who have been impacted so heavily as well as our nearby retailers and eateries too (within the Rangiora CBD)!

Entry for participants to the event is via donation please, all funds raised will go back into the running costs of the bi-annual Elevate Market in the Park.
