Our brand voice portrays the vibrant community lifestyle against this picturesque landscape through descriptive and genuine language. We promote the beautiful surrounds of Ocean Ridge without exaggeration.. Ocean Ridge will be establishing a new community, and our brand voice should be inclusive and foster understanding and trust. We speak with confidence and experience to our audience. We lend from the Walker brand our rich history in delivering urban transformations from challenging opportunities. Our brand is authentic, enriching, emotive and vibrant, helping our audience to visualise their future at Ocean Ridge.

BRAND ANATOMY

The Ocean Ridge logo combines a unique brandmark with a clear and simple wordmark to establish presence and recall. It is imperative that the logo is not adjusted for any reason. The brandmark is made up of the ‘O’ and ‘R’ from the Ocean Ridge wordmark, overlayed to create a versatile design that is recognisable across print and digital applications.

The brandmark is placed in the centre of the primary wordmark spelling ‘Ocean Ridge’, which applies a modern and newly created font, bespoke for the Ocean Ridge brand and differentiating it from competitors. he logo can be applied in its full form, T or by applying the brandmark of the overlayed ‘O’ and ‘R’. It is intended that this will increase brand awareness and engagement as Ocean Ridge becomes established in the community.

LOGO VARIATIONS FULL LOGO The Ocean Ridge logo has three colour applications, and an effort should always be made to ensure high contrast between the background and the logo. If applying to a light background, the Ocean Ridge logo is available to apply in full black; or in black and colour, with the OR brandmark applied in OR Sapphire adjacent the black wordmarks.

If applying to a darker background, the Ocean Ridge logo is available to apply in full white; or in white and colour, with the OR brandmark applied in OR Sapphire adjacent the white wordmarks.

DEFINITION OF SPACE & SIZING The Ocean Ridge logo applies to the ‘O’ and ‘R’ brandmark to establish the negative space rule, indicated in magenta. This formula will ensure no other element will detract from or obstruct the logo application, with the zone indicating the closest any other graphic element can be positioned in relation to the mark. The negative space for the full logo can be calculated by using the brandmark, as illustrated in the example below:

MINIMUM SIZING The minimum size for the full logo is 70mm wide by 15mm high. The minimum size for the brandmark is 10mm (w) x 10mm (h).

This allows the logo to be used in a variety of forms and collateral at different sizes without hindering the legibility or clarity of the logo.

LOGO EMBELLISHMENTS Embellishments are encouraged in print application, with embossing or embedding options available. It is imperative when any treatment is done to the logo, the logo remains unchanged from its original design. When superimposing the logo into an image, it is recommended the logo is no lower than 50% opacity for clarity. If any you require advice on its application, please contact the Walker Communications, Marketing and Brand team for direction on best practice.

OCEAN RIDGE & WALKER As a masterplanned community by Walker, Ocean Ridge is subjected to the Walker Brand Guidelines. The primary Walker logo should be incorporated at every opportunity, without container and ideally in the footer of the print or digital asset, locked up with the project logo. The light and dark versions are available, depending on the application. Please refer to the Collateral Applications for guidance.

COLOUR PALETTE The Ocean Ridge colour palette is reminiscent of the coastal tones and highlands of Ocean Ridge and the NSW South Coast.

PRIMARY COLOURS The primary colour palette is premium and inviting, emulating the coastal retreat positioning of Ocean Ridge and the desirable Australian lifestyle it offers. OR Sea portrays the ocean that reaches from the borders of the NSW South Coast through to the horizon, representing the extensive opportunity at Ocean Ridge. OR Sand lends to the welcoming, sandy beaches that connect the Ocean and Eastern edge of the masterplanned community, where an active lifestyle is pursued. OR Sage emulates the soft, relaxing lifestyle of Ocean Ridge that is designed in keeping with the stunning natural surrounds.

SECONDARY COLOURS The secondary colour palette is deeper and slightly muted, providing effective contrast to the primary colour palette by applying complimentary colours that connect with the Rosedale region. OR Bark is representative of the stability of the rock, earth and trees that are the foundation of Rosedale and surrounds. OR Sky Blue represents the ever-reaching sky, framing the landscape in every direction. OR Forest Green reflects the abundance of nature and greenery that surrounds Ocean Ridge, making reference to the neighbouring Mogo State Forest.

PRINT TYPEFACES The typography of Ocean Ridge works closely with the logo application as an integral storytelling of the brand’s personality. The primary fonts are Bicylette for titles and headings, Arboria for body and page essentials. The fonts selected are clean and spacious allowing legibility and clear understanding.

Welcome to Ocean Ridge, a new masterplanned community by Walker on the NSW South Coast. The Ocean Ridge community share a love of natural surrounds to relax into, balanced with their engagement in an active and outdoor lifestyle. Whether golfing with friends, exploring the State Forest with grandchildren or hosting the extended family for a beachfront retreat, the sense of beauty and community in Ocean Ridge underpins every experience. Neighbours will be connected through wide pedestrian paths and cycleways, with daily convenience just minutes away at new and existing local retail and services amenities.

Our brand imagery should focus on the aspirational and idyllic lifestyle that Ocean Ridge delivers. It is a visual depiction of what life in Ocean Ridge looks and feels like to it’s community members who call it home. This should be applied across all visual touchpoints including print, website, eDM, social media and advertising. Where possible, large sweeping plains of open land should be avoided in our brand imagery application, unless directed by the Head of Communications, Marketing & Brand. 45

It is imperative that every application of our branding is accurate and consistent so as to strengthen our brand positioning and recall in the Ocean Ridge, Rosedale community and surrounds.

MERCHANDISE Care must be taken when applying the Ocean Ridge logo to merchandise. Please consider the fabric or product the logo is being applied to and its size to ensure our brand is prominent and legible.

BUSINESS CARDS The primary OR Sea colour is applied to the card collateral, with the full logo in complete white, to establish presence and strong contrast. The back of the card applies standard Walker application, as per the Walker Brand Guidelines.

LETTERHEAD The Ocean Ridge Letterhead template is elegant and inviting, designed for ease of use in everyday correspondence.

A clear Walker lock up is presented in the footer, establishing strong ownership of the Corporate brand.

The design applies the primary OR Sea as a band in the footer of the design, with the OR brandmark in full white, establishing brand presence.

The print typefaces should be applied in Letterhead correspondence. Please refer to Typography for application. The letterhead template can be downloaded here.

BROCHURES AND PRINT When producing any printed collateral for Ocean Ridge, it is important to remember that it is a tactile execution of the elevated brand. The primary and secondary brand colours are available to use across all print collateral. When applying the Ocean Ridge logo, it is at discretion of the designer to ensure there is contrast to the background or image it is sitting on. Please refer to the Logo Colour Applications for instruction.

So as to maintain a modern and refined presentation, any brochure or print collateral must be on a quality paper of minimum 180 gsm. Cover pages should be thicker than internal pages. Any imagery applied must reflect the quality of the brand and emulate the aspirational lifestyle of Ocean Ridge. Ensuring high quality imagery that is rich in narrative and presentation is crucial to reflect the quality of the brand itself.

POWERPOINT It is important that the Ocean Ridge brand is presented consistently across all communication touchpoints. The Ocean Ridge PowerPoint template applies a combination of the colour palette to establish hierarchy and contrast. •

The title page should always apply the OR Sapphire along the footer, to establish contrast with the presentation title and date. It features the full logo application in colour, as appropriate in contrast with the background feature image.

All content pages apply a corner footer feature in OR Sky Blue, with the OR brandmark in white. This feature can also accommodate page numbers if desired.

If the Walker logo is being applied, this co-branding should be positioned in the bottom left corner of the footer, using the light or dark version of the primary logo to maintain contrast. The correct fonts should be applied depending if the presentation will be digital or printed. Please see the Typography section for instruction. Strong contrast is encouraged to ensure legibility & presence.
