IN THE SWING OF SPRING
Spring is in full swing now and you can really feel it when you visit the many new showhomes and communities that recently opened in the Calgary area. Maybe it’s just the sunnier weather, but there does seem to be a little spring in the new home market’s steps these days.
Our cover feature on the young Creekstone community in the southwest bears this out, as this latest from Apex Developments seems to be chugging on all cylinders since it launched last year. They have started sales for Phase Two, even as they sold out of some duplex models – don’t worry, more are coming. Find out more in our cover story inside.
The past couple of weekends have been pretty much a whirlwind for me, as I got busy attending various showhome openings and community launches, and you can find out all about them in our Trending features on the latest showhome parades and community amenities. And if you follow us on our social media and you can be in the know in real time, also remember, our monthly Inside Calgary column gives you the scoop on what else is happening in Calgary’s new home market.
Finally, as the surest sign of spring, it’s time again for the BILD Calgary Region awards! We have the finalists list inside, which can serve as the best guide for where you can find the latest and greatest opportunities to buy a new home. We’ll be there to cover the awards when they are handed out on April 22. Good luck to all the finalists!

CREEKSTONE’S
ACTIVE LIFESTYLE APPEAL
by PEPPER RODRIGUEZA life of ease and comfort is what Creekstone promises, and that promise is quickly coming to life, as the young southwest community brings in more amenities and new home styles bring a bevy of lifestyle choices.
Showhomes only opened last year, but Creekstone has enjoyed a surge in demand that saw Phase 1 already at 80 percent sold. “We have started selling Phase 2 and will be starting development for Phase 3 in the spring,” says Michelle Wilken, development coordinator at Apex Developments.
Just off the west side of Macleod Trail in the rapidly growing southern
limits of Calgary, Creekstone offers the fertile ground where families can set down their roots.
“One of the many benefits of living in Creekstone is the proximity to popular shopping centres, recreation facilities, and other conveniences that make daily life easier and enjoyable,” Wilken says. “From park and playground spaces that are perfect for kids, to future amenities like schools, commercial areas, and everyday essentials close by, everything you need is right outside your front door. Creekstone has it all.”
Jointly developed by Apex and Quadra Developments, Creekstone has quickly captured heart and minds
of buyers with their elegantly stylish, and affordable front-drive garage and duplex homes from Brookfield Residential and Excel Homes.
Jenna Rilling, Marketing Manager for Brookfield Residential, says building in Creekstone has been an “incredible” success for them, and their front-drive garage homes continue to do well.
“The community has come together to offer residents incredible amenities that focus on an active lifestyle. Our customers are drawn to the abundant pathways, playground and golf courses that are nearby and the close proximity to Fish Creek Park and nearby commercial,” Rilling tells

Calgary New Home + Condo Guide. She says they have done so well here that they have currently sold out of their duplex home models, but more should be available soon.
Excel Homes’ Creekstone Area Managers, Faryn Salloway and Kent Shupe, agree, as they continue to enjoy steady traffic for their frontdrive and duplex homes.
“While it is still considered a new community, it doesn’t feel like it because there are so many amenities nearby,” Salloway says. “It is peaceful and quiet, with spectacular views of the ridge and mountains.”
Shupe says Creekstone has been a liveable community right from the get-go. “With the park space already available for families to enjoy. There is easy access to commercial retail, but far enough away that homeowners don’t have to deal with the noise and traffic,” he adds.
Creekstone offers a masterplanned vision for the greater Pine Creek community. “We have made it easier than ever to plant your family roots, grow, and thrive in the city’s southwest. From park and playground spaces to future amenities like schools, commercial areas, and everyday essentials close by – you’re perfectly situated in Creekstone,” Apex’s Wilken says.
Brookfield Residential at Creekstone Creekstone by Apex Creekstone by ApexIntertwined by local and regional pathways, with an environmental reserve nearby, Creekstone is as picturesque as it can get with the southern Alberta foothills and the Rockies as its backdrop.
Creekstone is on 210 Avenue in the SW, and not only does it have great access to major thoroughfares including Macleod Trail, Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail, it is close to key commercial areas like the thriving, new Township shopping centre and Walden Gate, both less than 10 minutes away.
Rilling says Brookfield residential’s most popular offering here is the Purcell 24. At 2,229 sq. ft., she says it is ideal for family with a busy lifestyle. “It features a flex room on the main floor, perfect for a home office, that is directly across from the kitchen. The upper floor bonus room provides privacy from primary bedroom to secondary bedrooms and offers an awesome family night spot.
Their Rundle 24 showhome has been very popular with families too. Its 1,884 sq. ft. provides spacious accommodations with large windows that makes the home feel even bigger. “The kitchen boasts a sizable pantry and an impressive island eating bar, making it an ideal spot for snacking and catching up between work, school, and soccer practice,” Rilling says.
Excel’s Salloway says their Collingwood front-drive model is
their most popular and is their current showhome in Creekstone. “It’s a modern 3-bedroom home built with versatility in mind. It offers optimal flexibility and versatility with so many different options and variations to the home,” she adds.
Shupe says majority of their clients in Creekstone are first time home buyers who are new to Canada or families upgrading from a smaller home to a larger front drive home. “They are young, growing families with an influx moving to Calgary from other provinces because they can live a better quality of life. They specifically pick Creekstone because of the easy access to major roadways, the established surrounding amenities, and the connection to nature,” he says.
Rilling says Brookfield Residential is attracting a lot of younger buyers too. “Our buyers have been younger couples (age 30-39), with the flexibility to work from home and
with children living at home. Many of the buyers in the community appreciate the incredible abundance of pathways and access to nature, in the southwest of Calgary. Buyers are also attracted to the modern park centered in the middle of the community with amenities not commonly found, for their children.” But regardless of which home you choose in Creekstone, the community is quickly coming into its own, Wilken says.
“Our single-family focused enclave is perfect for families, where the playground is always filled with neighbourhood kids playing together, and the pathways are perfect for daily walks with friends and pets. Whether you’re looking to meet new people or simply enjoy the tranquility of a peaceful neighbourhood, Creekstone is the perfect place for you.”

Excel - Creekstone Excel - CreekstoneTOP 3 SPRING RENOVATIONS TO IMPROVE
YOUR HOME’S VALUE
CODY BATTERSHILL
Springtime is here. For many homeowners in Calgary, this time of the year means it is time to strap on the work boots and get some critical maintenance done.
The warmer weather is also an advantageous time to perform spring renovations that will help maintain your home’s value over the long run. Because let’s face it – when Calgary weather gets even warmer in the summer, many of us want to be out and about enjoying the sun.
With that in mind, I would like to share a few springtime renovations you can start on now to help your home age well from both a longevity and value standpoint.
INVEST IN HARDSCAPING
Landscaping is a great way to breathe life into your yard while creating more value in your home over the long term.
Homeowners often use new stone pathways, retaining walls, natural stone features and other “hardscaping” methods to improve the ambiance of their yard space and make it more appealing to spend time in.
Patios, fences, hot tub decks and other “permanent” features are a great way to add value to your home. Starting these projects in the springtime is also typical, as they won’t take as long to plan and design as secondary additions.
SET UP A NEW HOME OFFICE
Working from home is increasingly becoming the new norm. Spring is
a great time to reimagine how your work setup looks like at home and what changes you can make to the office to be more comfortable and productive in all aspects.
Updating your work-from-home setup might include the following:
• Adding a new wall to provide privacy when on video calls
• Converting a spare bedroom into a new dedicated office space
• Installing a new window to ensure your office gets plenty of light
• Building a new backyard suite that functions as an office
• Soundproofing walls so that noises do not distract you as much
• Getting a new multi-screen compatible desk
• Building new custom MDF shelving for storage
ADD A NEW SEASONAL SUNROOM
New sunroom additions are a great way to add future value to your home. A sunroom will add to your living space and be included in your home’s valuation when it comes time to sell, and there is no better time to start thinking about this type of project than in Spring.
Now you have to decide what kind of sunroom you’d like. Sunrooms come in a handful of different varieties, but due to Calgary’s cold weather for about half of the year, your best bet is to get a four-season sunroom.
A four-season sunroom is entirely sealed off from the outside and is fully insulated up to Alberta builder codes. Costs for insulation, windows and HVAC to build a four-season sunroom will be more than if you were to build a three-season sunroom or screen room, so that is something to consider.
Remember that permits and design for sunrooms may take a few months, so you’ll want to start on the idea sooner than later.
NOT SURE? ASK A REALTOR®
If you’re unsure what Spring renovations will improve your home’s value, I highly recommend talking to a real estate agent and Realtor® whom you trust. This person should have your best interests at heart and be able to give you sound advice on what renovations will help you accomplish your goals.
Wishing you a wonderful spring and summer!

StreetSide’s Villas of Silverado, Konekt selling quick
StreetSide Developments’ luxurious Villas of Silverado bungalows and Konekt apartment condos are quickly selling out as the multi-family developer continues to hit its stride in 2023.

PICK YOUR SPOT
IN THE NORTHWEST
by PEPPER RODRIGUEZWeekends have been very busy at the new Calgary Farmers Market location in the northwest, the dizzying array of delectable choices available will make any foodie’s dream come true. The same is true nowadays in the new home opportunities in this rapidly growing sector.
There’s a new vibrancy coursing through Northwest Calgary, as new communities open up providing an exciting range of lifestyle-centric options for starter homes, move-up homes, and dream homes.
The northwest is undergoing a rapid transformation, the sector which had once lived in the shadow of southwest Calgary as the most sought-after residential neighbourhood is now gaining prestige of its own. Where growth used to be focused along the
Country Hills Boulevard NW, there are more new communities now sprouting around the northern sections of Stoney Trail and in other now-highly urbanized areas to the west.
New communities, like Livingston, Carrington, Carrington South, Evanston, Glacier Ridge, and Ambleton are clustered around Stoney Trail and the accessibility the ring road offers. While University District, Greenwich, and Trinity Hills have become hotspots of cosmopolitan living. Rockland Park and Crestmont are at the very western edge of the city and offer stunning nature backdrops. Arbour Lake West is growing around an already established lake community.
It’s this diverse offering of homeowning opportunities and
lifestyle that has fuelled the growth of the Northwest and it’s not about to stop.
RECREATIONAL HAVEN
Calgary’s northwest has always been one of the most desired residential areas in the city, and the diverse range of amenities – from shopping, dining, recreational opportunities and more – attract new homebuyers.
Nose Hill Park is at the very heart of the sector, it is surrounded by 12 residential communities and offers a ton of four-season recreational fun. The sprawling, 11 square-kilometre park is popular for hikers, joggers, and dog-walkers.
The 50,000-square-foot Calgary Farmers Market’s second location opened last year and sits just across from the Greenwich community.
It has injected new vitality in the area, and the ongoing commercial developments along Trinity Hills just across from it promise to make this part of the city a mecca for retail therapy for a long time to come. There are also negotiations for a new Costco to come up just a little bit to the west of the Calgary border near the Springbank community of Harmony.
Recreational opportunities abound as well at Winsport Calgary Olympic Park. It is a multi-purpose training and competition facility that is used both for high performance athletic training and for recreational purposes by the general public. Its ski hill is very popular in the winter.
Plenty of groceries and big box stores around these northwest communities, too, like the Creekside
Shopping Centre, which has the popular Bro’Kin Yolk restaurant. Tipsy Pig Kitchen + Bar in Evanston is just also highly recommended, as well as JPs Indian Bistro nearby. There’s also Sushi Al in Panorama Hills, as the northwest cuisine offerings has become as varied as the housing opportunities it presents.
UNIVERSITY DISTRICT
The ingenious mix of commercial and residential is best seen in University District, the hugely successful undertaking by University of Calgary Properties Group that has blossomed into a community of tomorrow now. In addition to strong sales for its residential condominium developments, the influx of a varied range of commercial and retail
establishments here has created a truly cosmopolitan lifestyle.
The retail businesses are seeing steady traffic and the recent opening of Cineplex VIP Cinemas, OEB and Village Ice Cream have created more awareness for the retail main street due to their popularity. The mix of local favourites and well-known staples continues to create a desirable mix of offerings.
The recent opening of the new Central Commons Park adds an immeasurable appeal to living here. The new three-acre park is at the very heart of the community and features the city’s newest refrigerated outdoor public ice rink.

Anthem has a long history of development in northwest Calgary. It has developed some of the most successful and pioneering communities in the sector, including Edgemont and Hawkwood, and they recently just sold out the awardwinning communities of Sage Hill and Nolan Hill. Glacier Ridge, which opened last year, marks its successful return to the northwest.
Development is well underway for this 832-acre community just off 144 Avenue and Sarcee Trail in the northwest. New showhomes are open from Cedarglen Homes, Jayman BUILT, Morrison Homes, Shane Homes, and Trico Homes.
Glacier Ridge offers families a rare chance to live in a brand-new community in Calgary’s desirable northwest. The community’s first collection of homes is inspired by Western Canada’s historic farmhouses and ranches, with Paired, Laned, Front Drive and Park Front home types available.
Visit glacierridgecalgary.ca for more.
BROOKFIELD RESIDENTIAL
Brookfield Residential has been very active in the development of the
northwest. Its Livingston community ushered the growth of The New North when it began just a few years ago. Its popular Rockland Park further west maintains its commitment to the sector’s growth.
“At Brookfield we provide a diversity of housing types to fit the lifestyles and budgets of a wide range of buyers,” says Brookfield Residential’s Mary Aucoin. “Our communities are planned to incorporate the best of what Calgary has to offer, enhance the landscape, and foster community spirit.”
Of note in Livingston is that it has the largest homeowners’ association facility that Brookfield has ever built: The Hub. “This is an amazing building and outdoor park space exclusive to residents to experience and enjoy. We also have a temporary dog park and pump track, multiple greenspaces, pathways, and a few different playgrounds,” Aucoin adds. Go to experiencelivingston.com for more.
QUALICO COMMUNITIES
Qualico Communities is just as invested in the northwest’s growth. It’s hit Evanston community was a main driver for residential growth in the sector in recent years and it is all but sold out now. Its follow-
up, Ambleton, promises to replicate this success.
The biggest amenity in Ambleton will be the pond. This area is meant to create neighbourhood gathering spaces and a way to bring the community together. There will also be areas along the pond that will keep a more naturalized look. There is also a future High School planned for the community that will be an amazing addition to the area once it is built There is a wide variety of housing options here as well. Jayman BUILT and Broadview Homes offer Laned and Duplex models. There is also Shane Homes, Sterling Homes, and Trico Homes with Front Garage homes. Trico also offers Front Garage Wide Shallow Models as well. And Truman Homes will have townhomes soon, but sales have not begun yet.

NEW COMMUNITIES EXPLORING CONNECTIONS IN
by PEPPER RODRIGUEZAccessibility, affordability and amenities – not necessarily in that order – are what new home buyers are looking for in a place to settle down. But a sense of connectivity is just as important.
Communities with a sense of connection to nature, a connection between neighbours, a connection to the world around it – those
are as important in choosing the neighbourhood to buy a home in.
Developers have taken pains to knit this kind of relationship between homebuyers and the communities they design and bringing in more and better amenities is one way of connecting life to the community lifestyle.
In this issue, we tour some of Calgary and area’s new amenitycentric communities and see how connectivity influences lifestyles.
CARRINGTON SOUTH
By Apex Developments and H3 DevelopmentsFor Apex Developments, it is striking a balanced lifestyle that is the most important in the design for their family-friendly communities.
“Now more than ever people are looking for a balanced lifestyle where
they can be both super comfortable in their homes and at the same time have access to beautiful outdoor spaces where they can re-charge,” says Michelle Wilken, development coordinator at Apex.
The growing community of Carrington South in the northwest is a prime example of this work-life balance lifestyle that Apex strives for.
Jointly developed by Apex and H3 Developments, Carrington South is growing rapidly as the recently released Phase 4 is already half sold out. “We have four phases developed with two more on their way. Phase 5 construction commences this spring,” Wilken adds.
Life is about to get even easier for residents here with a new commercial centre that adds to the many already established around the community.
“The Shops of Carrington is opening and amenities will include groceries, pharmacy, dental and childcare center – just to name a few. Everything you need will be right in the greater Carrington community,” Wilken says.
But the idyllic lifestyle in this enclave is made for relaxing. “The pathways and the new park in Phase 3 are huge hits with the kids. Three basketball nets, playground picnic areas and even a toboggan hill are all available to residents,” she adds.
As in all their communities, Apex’s vision was to curate a place to live where families come first. “With year-round recreation and a master planned vision for the greater Carrington community, we have made it easier than ever to plant roots, grow, and thrive,” Wilken says.

FIRESIDE
By
Calbridge DevelopmentsIn many ways, Fireside by Calbridge Developments kicked off the seeming resurgence that Cochrane enjoys today. The past decade saw this Western Heritage town just west of Calgary boom and Fireside started it all. Fireside was designed to please the family and heighten the sense of
family-friendly values and small-town warmth that Cochrane is known for. Framed amidst the scenic countryside of southern Alberta’s foothills, it has grown into a small town of its own.
The way Calbridge Developments has gone about it is to invest in the in-community amenities. There are 57- acres of parks and pathways connecting the community, drawing people together. Flagstone Park is a getaway for families, with a full playground for the kids and benches and picnic areas for parents to keep an eye on young ones while talking with friends and neighbours. There is also a flourishing commercial centre right at its entrance providing tons of convenience to residents.
Bulrush Park surrounds two large wetlands that sit side-by-side on the west side of Fireside. Picnic areas and walking paths in Bulrush Park provide a perfect spot for relaxing and wildlife watching. And now Central Park is coming too.
“We are so excited that the Central Park is coming to Fireside this year,” says Edmundo Azuaje, Manager of Marketing & Communications at Calbridge Group.
Central Park has just over five acres, featuring toboggan hill, picnic areas, two pump tracks, state-of-the-art playground, fire pits and lots of green space. “We are hoping to have a
grand opening event toward the fall of 2023. In addition to the community rink, community garden, and existing parks, Fireside is the place to be,” he adds.
This obvious care to in-community connectivity is what has made Fireside stand out in the past decade of its development, says Cabridge Developments Senior Development Manager, Laura Button. “It is a community of neighbours,” she adds.
“We have volunteer-led initiatives in the community including operation of the outdoor rink and the community garden, so the homeowners are showing that they want to invest their time and energy back into the community,” Button says.
Of course, the wide variety of home style that appeal to different lifestyles is another reason Fireside has won hearts and minds in Cochrane, and the selection grows again this summer.
“We are excited about our new show home parade coming to Fireside’s phase 11 in June of this year. Featuring three new single-family and two semi-detached showhomes from our incredible builder group including Cardel Homes, Calbridge Homes and Genesis Builders, with opportunities also available from Janssen Homes.”

By Burnswest Properties and GDSGreystone is the newest community to open in Cochrane, and it promises to be something quite out of the ordinary with a host of easy-living amenities in and around it.
Greystone will feature the ultimate mix of modern residential homes, commercial and retail spaces, and a plethora of amenities, says Josh Hagen, Vice President of Development for Burnswest Properties..
Amenities include walking paths and playgrounds throughout the community; a ‘high street’ commercial area with many services and local vendors; and a brand-new Calgary Co-Op retail complex, planned to start construction later this fall, opening in 2024. Greystone is also virtually at the front steps of Cochrane’s popular Spray Lakes Sawmills Centre, giving its residents easier access.
“Greystone will also be home to a regional sports park that includes 20 pickleball courts (enough to host a national tournament), two fullsized baseball diamonds, an outdoor basketball court and a playground,” Hagen adds.
Greystone’s first showhomes are scheduled to open this summer from Douglas Homes, Rohit Communities, Prominent Homes, and Green Cedar Homes. Pre-sales for the first phase are available now. “A community Grand Opening celebration is planned for September 2023,” he adds.

SOUTH SHORE
By Edgewater Communities and GDSWith Chestermere Lake at its very backyard, what other recreational amenities would you need? This is the enduring appeal of South Shore in Chestermere which holds the distinction of having the last available developable residential land on the shores of this popular lake.
It is perfect for the recreationminded family as its 77.5 gross acres are interlaced with pathways, playgrounds, and shoreline.
“Locations like this don’t come around that often,” says Adam Oruclar, Managing Partner, General Development Services, which is
developing the community on behalf of Edgewater Communities Inc.
“Lake side living in Chestermere is a unique opportunity to live next to this incredible year-round amenity, but also benefit from what Chestermere has to offer.” The lake town just east of Calgary is already well established with family-friendly amenities from schools, and shopping, to recreation and more,” he adds.
South Shore residents can further connect in the community via extensive pathways that lead to a further network through the small city and around Chestermere Lake. Two new playgrounds are also planned.
South Shore features seven showhomes, including four new duplex style showhomes (which opened in March 2023) by Crystal Creek Homes and Alliston at Home. “Phase One and Phase Two lots are now available, including canalbacking single-family homes, and park-backing duplex homes. Each of the builders also have a selection of ready to move in homes in South Shore,” Oruclar says.

FINDING STYLE AND FLAIR OF CALGARY’S
NEW SHOWHOMES
by PEPPER RODRIGUEZCalgary’s new home spring market is in full swing, and this year showhomes are seeing the return of heavy traffic. Showhomes have always been the best tool for homebuilders to attract buyers. It allows them to not only show off their skill and expertise in building but gives buyers an aspirational glimpse of the lifestyle that is possible for them.
All the new communities in Calgary and region have exciting showhome parades to go through, a good tip is to go through the finalists of the BILD Calgary Region that we have in this issue to pick out a list of showhomes to visit. Calgary New Home + Condo Guide is here to “guide” new homebuyers on their picks and here are a few of our favourite new showhomes this year.
HOPEWELL RESIDENTIAL IN HOTCHKISS
The follow-up to Hopewell Residential’s highly successful Mahogany community in the southeast opened last year and it has – as expected – been a huge hit. Hotchkiss is jointly developed by Hopewell Residential and Qualico Communities, and offer singlefamily homes here with duplex, rear-laned, and front-drive garage homes available.
Hopewell Residential has showhomes of each to attract the widest range of buyers, including some brand-new models that made their debut here.
Hopewell Residential Marketing Manager, Marvin Coronia, says they take extra care in coming up with any
showhome but especially more so in Hotchkiss.
“People first notice our enhanced exteriors. Some of our home models offer new features like stained columns and black vinyl windows that really catch the eye,” he says. “When they walk in, they immediately notice our wider staircases, expansive kitchens, and build quality.”
The Cari and the Rayn are their paired home showhomes in Hotchkiss, and they were chosen for their competitive price point for buyers with prices starting in the $450,000s, Coronia says. They are good starter homes for those who prefer a singlefamily lifestyle.
“The Rayn’s flexibility is the main draw, with up to six-bedroom options available. A main floor flex room to
accommodate someone working from home, a separate ‘school from home’ space for the kids, as well as a great size entertainment room for people to unwind in.”
The rear laned Perri showhome has “wow” written all over it. “Once people walk in, all we hear is ‘wow.’ The 10foot ceiling height, expanded kitchen at the rear, and expansive windows allow for so much natural light.”
While the Carisa front-drive garage showhome offers the opportunity “for someone to have everything they need without breaking the bank. This well-designed home had 3 bedrooms, a generously sized bonus room, and a main floor office. Everything a family needs,” Coronia adds.
Go to hotchkissliving.com to find out more.
NUVISTA HOMES IN VERMILLION HILLS
Vermillion Hills is one of the newest communities in the southwest and NuVista Homes is making quite the impression, opening brand-new single-family home models. NuVista’s new semi-detached (duplex) and rear laned showhomes bring a flair for the dramatic that matches the spectacular views from this scenic enclave.
“Vermilion Hill has amazing views and is in the far SW quadrant near Tsuut’ina nation. It’s so pretty in Vermilion Hill and great for people wanting to escape to the mountains,” says NuVista Homes’ Marketing Manager & Creative Director, Wendee Bishop. It also helps that NuVista’s start from the $490,000s in Vermillion Hill.
She says their four showhomes here were created to fit the unique landscape of Vermillion Hill.
The Bayview model, a laned home at 1,755 sq. ft. features a flex room in the rear of the home with the capability for a full bath as well. “We see more multigenerational buyers and thought this would be a great idea for a main floor bedroom,” Bishop says.
The Woodside model, also a rear laned homes, is at 1,529 sq. ft. and features the popular rear kitchen with the open concept throughout the main floor.
“Our show home duplexes the Penn and Piper have been around for a few years. They have been a very popular plan at 1,600 sq. ft. The Penn has a kitchen centrally located and the Piper has a kitchen located in the back of the home. This allows buyers to decide which layout they prefer,” she adds.
Visit nuvistahomes.com for more details.
TRICO HOMES IN HAMILTON HEIGHTS
Trico Homes enters Calgary’s ultraestate market this year in the new community of Hamilton Heights, just south of the city.
In partnership with Telsec Property Corp., Trico Homes is offering oneof-a-kind, luxury estate homes amidst the stunning mountain vistas of DeWinton. “We are really excited about this community, not only because it’s Trico’s first community in DeWinton, but because this is an ultra-estate product we haven’t built in any other community,” says Michael Brown, President of Trico Residential.
Trico created three models specifically for this community - The Woodside, The Lexington & The Birmingham. Ranging in size from 2,240 to 3,171 square-feet, buyers can choose from bungalow, 1.5- and 2-storey plans, all with triple-car garages. “Also, homebuyers have the option to build their custom dream home that Trico will build it for them,” says Glenda Schwartz, Director of Marketing at Trico Homes.
The Woodside bungalow showhome is currently available for viewing by appointment but will make its debut to the public on April 15.
The showhome has a wellappointed main floor of 2,240 squarefeet and a developed basement that adds a further 1,857 square-feet of living space. The wow factor is evident in the 10-foot-high ceilings throughout the main level, which soar even higher in the great room and owner’s suite, Schwartz says.
“The kitchen is expansive and provides plenty of room for cooking and food preparation. It also has a butler pantry providing additional storage space and convenience for those who loves to cook,” she adds.
“The basement is perfect for entertaining with a large home theatre, wine room, bar, and recreation room. It is also ideal for hosting guests, with two additional bedrooms, five-piece bath and an additional ½ bath for guest convenience.”
