Dear reader,

Prezado leitor,

Indaiatuba has emerged in the national scenario, over the last years, as a highlight in quality of life. Due to its vocation for the formation of skilled labor, infrastructure, which offers the ideal conditions for attracting new business, easy and fast access to the main highways of the country, has been installed by national industries, multinationals and attracted investments and businesses, which contribute to the development of the municipality. Last year alone, there were 50 new industries that generated more than 300 jobs. Only in 2016, the city exported $ 592 million, or 11% more than the previous year. But to reach this level of reference, the city has been committed in a decisive way. The management of the municipality is developed with serious and efficient planning, always in search of excellence. The growth is taken into account and for this reason, for years, works and projects are in progress, anticipating this evolution, in order to provide the best conditions to live and invest in the city. One example is water. Indaiatuba has a dam ready, the Capivari-Mirim River Dam, which stores more than 1.3 billion liters of water, and can reach 1.6 billion, which guarantees supply for the next 30 years. The municipality has been part of the Ribeirão Piraí Consortium for years, through which a new dam will be built. Another historic achievement was the decontamination of the Jundiaí river, which made it possible to reframing, allowing capture and expanding the supply of raw water by 40%. Parallel to these initiatives, the reservation capacity has practically doubled in recent years. Indaiatuba has also invested in road infrastructure with the redesign of streets and avenues and the opening of new roads, with the best part being the Ring Road, which will allow a faster, easier and safer circulation. Another important point is the training of skilled labors. In addition to the private universities, Fatec, Senai and many courses, the City Hall maintains the FIEC (Indaiatubana Foundation of Education and Culture) that forms excellent professionals, and organizes courses according to the needs of companies. A foundation recognized for its quality and indicated by the Federal Government as a reference in Brazil. Investments are made in all areas with the purpose of enabling the city to be prepared for development with quality of life. And the recognition has come with evaluations performed by entities of national and even international respect. Among the main awards received by the city, in the first place, with an A-grade, in the National Transparency Ranking organized by the Federal Public Ministry (2016); Best City of the State in Fiscal Management according to Firjan (Federation of Industries of Rio de Janeiro), in 2015, besides being among the best evaluated of the State and of the RMC (Metropolitan Region of Campinas) in the Effectiveness Index of Municipal Management, edited By the Court of Auditors of the State of São Paulo (2015). It also appears among the best cities in the General Ranking of the yearbook “The Best Cities in Brazil” published by IstoÉ Magazine (2015) and in the American Cities of the Future 2011/2012 edited by the FDI Magazine of the Financial Times Ltd. group. Indaiatuba always figured in the first positions of the Firjan Index of Municipal Development, in which it reached first place in the country; Besides countless other indices where it’s portrayed with prominence.

Indaiatuba tem despontado no cenário nacional, ao longo dos últimos anos, como destaque em qualidade de vida. Devido sua vocação para a formação de mão-de-obra qualificada, infraestrutura, que oferece as condições ideais para a atração de novos negócios, acesso fácil e rápido às principais rodovias do país, tem recebido a instalação de indústrias nacionais, multinacionais e atraído investimentos e negócios, que contribuem para o desenvolvimento do município. Somente no ano passado foram 50 novas indústrias abertas que geraram mais de 300 empregos. Apenas em 2016, a cidade exportou US$ 592 milhões, ou 11% a mais que no ano anterior. Mas para alcançar esse patamar de referência, a cidade tem se empenhado de forma determinante. A gestão do município é desenvolvida com planejamento sério e eficiente, sempre em busca da excelência. O crescimento é levado em conta e por isso há anos, obras e projetos estão em andamento prevendo essa evolução, com o intuito de proporcionar as melhores condições para se viver e investir na cidade. Um desses exemplos é a água. Indaiatuba já está com uma represa pronta, a Barragem do Rio Capivari-Mirim, que armazena mais de 1,3 bilhão de litros d’água, podendo chegar a 1,6 bilhão. A oferta é garantida mesmo em períodos de estiagem prolongada e além disso, proporciona água para a cidade nos próximos 30 anos, já prevendo o seu crescimento e a chegada de novos negócios. O município já integra há anos o Consórcio do Ribeirão Piraí, por meio do qual uma nova represa será construída. Outra conquista histórica foi a despoluição do Rio Jundiaí, que possibilitou seu reenquadramento, permitiu captação e ampliou em 40% a oferta de água bruta. Paralelo a essas iniciativas, a capacidade de reservação praticamente dobrou nos últimos anos e as Estações de Tratamento de Água foram ampliadas. Indaiatuba também tem investido em estrutura viária com a reformulação de ruas e avenidas e a abertura de novas vias, tendo como destaque o Anel Viário, que vai permitir uma circulação mais rápida, fácil e segura. Ele vai desafogar o trânsito no centro da cidade, pois permite ir de uma extremidade à outra sem necessitar trafegar pela região central. Outro ponto importante é a formação de mão-de-obra qualificada. Além das universidades, Senai e tantos cursos, a Prefeitura mantém a FIEC (Fundação Indaiatubana de Educação e Cultura) que forma excelentes profissionais, inclusive, organiza cursos conforme as necessidades das empresas. Uma fundação reconhecida em todo o país por sua qualidade inclusive indicada pelo Governo Federal como referência, onde outras instituições vêm buscar experiência. Os investimentos são realizados em todas as áreas com o objetivo de permitir que a cidade esteja preparada para o desenvolvimento com qualidade de vida para todos. E o reconhecimento tem chegado com avaliações realizadas por entidades de respeito nacional como a Firjan (Federação das Indústrias do Rio de Janeiro), o Ministério Público Federal, Revista IstoÉ, Tribunal de Contas, entre outros. Entre os principais prêmios recebidos pela cidade, estão o primeiro lugar, com nota 10, no Ranking Nacional da Transparência organizado pelo Ministério Público Federal (2016); Melhor Cidade do Estado em Gestão Fiscal segundo a Firjan (Federação das Indústrias do rio de Janeiro), em 2015, além de figurar entre as melhores avaliadas do Estado e da RMC (Região metropolitana de Campinas) no Índice de Efetividade da Gestão Municipal, editado pelo Tribunal de Contas do Estado de São Paulo (2015). Também aparece entre as melhores cidades no Ranking Geral do anuário “As Melhores Cidades do Brasil” publicado pela Revista IstoÉ (2015) e no American Cities of the Future 2011/2012 editado pela revista FDI Magazine do grupo The Financial Times Ltd. Além disso, Indaiatuba sempre figurou nas primeiras posições do Índice Firjan de Desenvolvimento Municipal, no qual chegou a ficar em primeiro lugar no país; além de inúmeros outros índices onde é retratada com destaque.

A cidade de Indaiatuba

O povoado, que deu início a Indaiatuba começou como um dos bairros rurais da Vila de Itu. No século XVIII, o pequeno povoado figura em registros do censo de 1768, como Indayatiba. Ele também era chamado de Cocaes, por possuir campos de palmeiras indaiá. Entre os séculos XVIII e XIX já existiam referências aos bairros: Piraí, Itaici, Mato Dentro, Buru e Indaiatuba. Nesse período, a produção de açúcar e aguardente era muito forte na região. O núcleo urbano de Indaiatuba formou-se ao redor da capela, que foi erguida a partir de doações de imóveis feitas no ano de 1813, por Pedro Gonçalves Meira, que é tido como fundador do município, por ter realizado essas doações. Hoje, essa primitiva capela, após passar

por reformas e ampliações tornou-se a Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Candelária. Ela é uma das poucas igrejas construídas em taipa de pilão, que ainda está de pé. No século XIX, o açúcar perdeu espaço para o café, que se tornou o principal produto da cidade. Em 09 de dezembro de 1830, Indaiatuba tornouse sede de uma das Freguesias da Vila de Itu, por decreto do Imperador. Já em 24 de março de 1859, a sede da Freguesia foi elevada à condição de Vila. Essa Vila foi se expandindo no entorno da Igreja Matriz, com a construção de casas e a urbanização local foi tomando forma. O projeto urbano de Indaiatuba segue um traçado quadriculado, como era de costume na época.

No final do século, o primeiro trecho da Estrada de Ferro Ituana foi construído entre Jundiaí e o bairro rural de Pimenta, que foi inaugurado em 1872. Já no ano seguinte iniciou a construção do trecho Itaici-Piracicaba. A primeira e antiga estação de Indaiatuba foi construída com recursos da Câmara Municipal, em 1880. Esse foi um marco de desenvolvimento para a cidade, que agora estava interligada com a cidade de São Paulo. A partir da construção da estação muitos imigrantes chegaram à Indaiatuba, como os suíços, alemães, italianos e espanhóis e, posteriormente, os japoneses. Indaiatuba só foi elevada à categoria de cidade, no dia 19 de dezembro de 1906, pela Lei Estadual de nº 1.038. Seu nome vem do tupi e significa: ‘ini’yá’ = indaiá e tyba = ajuntamento, ou seja ‘ajuntamento de indaiás’.

O crescimento Em 1950, o município contava com 11.253 habitantes. Já em 1964, esse número passou para 22.928 habitantes e desde então a cidade não para de crescer. Dispondo de uma excelente infraestrutura urbana, Indaiatuba ocupa a 13ª colocação no ranking das melhores cidades para se investir, segundo pesquisa divulgada pela Revista Exame (2016). A cidade está bem servida logisticamente, pois está ligada com importantes rodovias e muito próxima do Aeroporto de Viracopos.

The Indaiatuba City Indaiatuba Old Hospital

The settlement, which marked the beginning of Indaiatuba started off as one of the two neighborhoods of the rural village of Itu. In the 18th century, the small settlement was included in records from the 1768 census, as Indayatiba. It was also known as Cocaes, due to its indaiá palm tree fields. Between the 18th and 19th centuries there were already references to neighborhoods: Piraí, Itaici, Mato Dentro, Buru and Indaiatuba. During this period, the production of sugar and rum was very strong in the region. The urban center of Indaiatuba grew around the chapel, which was built based on the donations of properties made in the year of 1813, by Pedro Gonçalves Meira, who is regarded as the founder of the municipality, for having made these donations. Today, this primitive chapel, after having 14

been renovated and expanded, became the Main Church of Nossa Senhora da Candelária. It is one of the few churches built using the rammed earth technique, which is still standing. In the 19th century, sugar was being replaced by coffee, which became the main product of the city. On December 09, 1830, Indaiatuba became, by decree of the emperor, the central office to one of the boroughs of the town of Itu. Then, on March 24, 1859, the central office of the borough was elevated to the status of Town. This town began to expand in the area surrounding the main church, with the construction of houses and the local urbanization began to take shape. The urban project of Indaiatuba follows a grid layout, as was usual at the time.

At the end of the 20th century, the first segment of the Ituana Railway was built between Jundiaí and the rural district of Pimenta, which was inaugurated in 1872. Then, in the following year, the construction of the Itaici-Piracicaba stretch began. The first and now former Indaiatuba Station was built with funds from the Town Hall, in 1880. This was a landmark in the city’s development, since it was now interconnected with the city of São Paulo. Upon the construction of the station, many immigrants arrived to Indaiatuba, such as the Swiss, Germans, Italians, and Spaniards, as well as, later on, the Japanese. Indaiatuba was only elevated to the rank of city, on December 19, 1906, as of state law of no 1.038. Its name originates from the Tupi language, and means:

‘ini’yá’ = indaiá and tyba = Gathering, in other words ‘Gathering of indaiás’.

The growth In 1950, the city had 11,253 inhabitants. As of 1964, this number increased to 22,928 inhabitants and since then the city has not ceased growing. Boasting an excellent urban infrastructure, Indaiatuba occupies the 13th place in the ranking of best cities to invest in, according to a survey released by Exame magazine (2016). The city is well served logistically, because it is connected to major highways and very close to the Viracopos airport.

Nilson Gaspar Entrevista Exclusiva

Nilson Gaspar, Prefeito de Indaiatuba mostra com clareza as principais metas e objetivos de seu primeiro mandato. Com mais de 20 anos de experiência no setor público, Gaspar tem metas ousadas para promover o crescimento de Indaiatuba.

O Sr. é Engenheiro Agrônomo de formação, e atua na burocracia de Indaiatuba há anos, quais serão as suas principais contribuições para a modernização da gestão pública do município? Sou concursado e funcionário de carreira, possuo mais de 20 anos de experiência na máquina pública, conheço de perto os pontos que precisamos melhorar. Um exemplo dessa modernização pode ser observada em nossa política de segurança. Temos um sistema de vídeomonitoramento inteligente de segurança integrado com a base de dados das cidades da região, que permite à Guarda Civil e Polícia Militar combater a criminalidade em tempo real e com uso da tecnologia. Indaiatuba avança a passos largos. Temos feito uma gestão eficiente e transparente, aliás no ano passado, o Ministério Público Federal já colocou Indaiatuba no topo do Ranking Nacional da Transparência com nota 10. Neste mandato, vamos aprimorar ainda mais nossa gestão.

Em seu mandato, quais serão os principais projetos nas áreas de Saúde e Educação? Indaiatuba é uma cidade que possui bons equipamentos públicos nas áreas de Saúde e Educação. O desafio do nosso governo é otimizar a oferta desses serviços públicos ao cidadão. Para isso uma das minhas primeiras ações como Prefeito, foi inaugurar uma nova Unidade Básica de Saúde, no bairro Campo Bonito. Além disso, temos a ampliação do Haoc (Hospital Augusto de Oliveira Camargo), que vai disponibilizar 174 novos leitos, aumentando o atendimento. Nossa estratégia de governo está pautada na valorização e respeito ao “Ser Humano”. Investiremos nas políticas de esporte e cultura de modo a promover a qualidade de vida da população. No médio e longo prazo, já será possível observar os resultados desses investimentos em todas as áreas, inclusive na saúde, pois teremos uma população mais saudável e com qualidade de vida. Também temos o “Programa Viver” realizado em parceria com a sociedade civil, que tem como principal objetivo prevenir e combater o uso de drogas no município.

No aspecto institucional, Indaiatuba é pioneira na implantação de um Plano Habitacional Municipal que prevê a constituição de um fundo habitacional financiado com recursos provenientes de empreendimentos imobiliários realizados na cidade. Esse fundo representa uma inovação à medida que reserva recursos para investimentos específicos na infraestrutura da cidade. Outra vantagem que os investidores terão em breve será a instalação de um Porto Seco em Indaiatuba, onde será possível realizar os despachos alfandegários e facilitar o comércio exterior.

Como o Sr. analisa o cenário econômico e político que o Brasil vive nesse momento? E os impactos decorrentes deste para Indaiatuba? R: O Brasil chegou ao “fundo do poço”, não conseguindo arcar com as despesas de custeio. Obviamente, num cenário de uma crise fiscal numa dimensão nacional, os municípios são diretamente afetados. Todas as prefeituras do país têm sofrido

com baixas na arrecadação, tivemos inclusive queda de repasse do FPM (Fundo de Participação dos Municípios). Nesse momento crítico, o foco é promover uma boa gestão, reduzindo as despesas de custeio e gastos desnecessários para investir nos serviços essenciais à população e é o que Indaiatuba tem feito. Vivemos uma situação melhor que a da maioria das cidades, graças ao planejamento e seriedade com os quais tratamos os recursos públicos.

Mr. Gaspar, you are an agricultural engineer, and have been acting in the bureaucracy sector of Indaiatuba for years, what will be your main contributions for the modernization of the cityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s public management?

A: I am a gazetted officer and employee of career, I have more than 20 years of experience in the public sector, I know the points that need improving. An example of this modernization can be seen in our security policy. We have an intelligent security

In your term, what will be the main projects on the sectors of Health and Education?

integrated video monitoring system with the database from the region’s cities, which allows the Civil and Military Police to combat crimes in real time and with the use of technology. Indaiatuba takes long strides forward We have been taking our management in an effective and transparent way, in fact last year, the Federal Public Ministry has already put Indaiatuba on top of national ranking of transparency with solid 10 points. On this term, we will further enhance our management.

A: Indaiatuba is a city that holds great public equipments for these sectors. The challenge of our administration is to optimize the offer of these public services for the regular citizen. To achieve this, one of my first actions as Mayor was the inauguration of a new Basic Health Care Unit, in the Campo Bonito neighborhood. Besides that, we have plans to extend the Haoc (Hospital Augusto de Oliveira Camargo), which will make available 174 new beds, improving the offered service. Our strategy for this administration is based on the appreciation and respect for the “Human Being”. We will invest on policies for Sport

and Culture sectors, aiming to promote the quality of life of our population. For medium and long terms, it will be possible to observe the results of our investments in all sectors of our city, including Health sector, because we will have a healthier population, with a better quality of life. We also have the “Programa Viver”, implemented as an association with the civil society, having as objective to avoid and combat the drug use in the municipality

Indaiatuba is number 13 of the Urban System’s ranking “100 better cities to invest” (2016) In your term, what can the entrepeneurs expect to improve the business’ environment on the city? Will we have a policy to attract the investments?

A: The entrepeneurs can expect to find a great environment for business in our city. We offer security and skilled labor. Through FIEC (Fundação Indaiatubana de Educação e Cultura) we offer over 50 vocational and extracurricular courses, free of charge to the population, developed in such a way as to meet the needs of the job market. Institutionally, Indaiatuba is a pioneer in the implementation of a Municipal Housing Plan that foresees the creation of a housing fund financed with resources provided by housing loans carried out by the city. This fund represents an innovation, as it saves resources to be used in specific investments towards the city´s infrastructure. Another perk that investors will have is the construction of a Dry Dock in Indaiatuba, where it will be possible to carry out customs clearings and facilitate foreign trade.

What´s your analysis of the current economic and political situation in Brazil? And the resulting impact this has brought to Indaiatuba? A: Brazil has hit “rock bottom”, unable to afford the costs of its own expenses. Obviously, in the midst of a fiscal crisis at a national level, the municipalities are directly affected. All municipalities in the country have suffered with lower amounts of collection, we even had a drop on onlending by the FPM (Fundo de Participação dos Municípios). During this critical moment, the focus is to promote good management, reducing the costs of current expenditures and wasteful spending to invest in the services that are essential to the population, and that´s what Indaiatuba has been doing. We´re live a better situation than the majority of other cities, thanks to the planning and seriousness with which we deal with public resources.

DESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÔMICO

Indaiatuba ocupa o 3º lugar nas exportações da Região Metropolitana de Campinas (RMC)

Mesmo 2016 sendo um ano difícil para a economia, a prefeitura de Indaiatuba trabalhou muito para que os investimentos não parassem no município. Tanto, que de janeiro a novembro, Indaiatuba movimentou US$1.324.597.261 sendo US$539.421.251 em exportações, o equivalente a 11,41% a mais que o mesmo período de 2015 e US$785.176.010 em importações que representa uma queda de 15,26% comparando com os mesmos meses de 2015 segundo as informações do núcleo de comércio exterior da prefeitura

Os números foram: US$ 539.421.251 de exportações e US$ 785.176.010 de importações. Sendo 63% dos produtos exportados para a Argentina; 24% para os Estados Unidos; 4% Alemanha, 3% para a Venezuela; 3% para a China e 3% para o México. Já as importações foram na maioria provenientes do Japão, com 36%; seguindo pela China 25%; Estados Unidos 20%; Alemanha 9%; Taiwan 5% e Espanha 4%.

E os números não param por aí. O município também recebeu 45 novas indústrias em seu parque fabril, além de registrar a abertura de 485 comércios e 1.391 prestadores de serviço. Para atender a demanda da cidade, devido aos novos investimentos, o Posto de Atendimento ao Trabalhador (PAT) atendeu, no ano passado, mais de 55.000 pessoas. Já no Banco do Povo Paulista foram atendidas 593 pessoas e o posto do Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas (Sebrae) atendeu 2.148 cidadãos. Com um trabalho sério e competente, Indaiatuba vem driblando o péssimo momento econômico, pelo qual o país vem passando e mantendo aquecido o desenvolvimento local.

Núcleo de Comércio Exterior A prefeitura de Indaiatuba disponibiliza gratuitamente o serviço de consultoria relacionada as transações de importação e exportação de produtos. Dessa forma, a prefeitura, através da sua Secretaria de Governo busca ajudar o empreendedor com a burocracia presente nesse tipo de transação. Esse serviço é destinado para os interessados nesse tipo de comércio, com horário previamente agendado. No local também é possível obter orientações sobre logística internacional.

Rodada de Negócios Através de uma parceria firmada entre a prefeitura e o Centro das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (CIESP) foi criada a Rodada de Negócios de Indaiatuba. Com a finalidade de reunir as empresas de vários tamanhos, para gerar novas oportunidades, essa iniciativa possibilita a realização de negócios entre as empresas participantes. Com a Rodada de Negócios, os encontros entre as empresas ocorrem a cada 10 minutos e no caso das empresas âncoras internacionais, a duração desse encontro é extendido para 30 minutos e assim sucessivamente. Dessa forma, as empresas ofertam e compram, conforme as suas necessidades. Esse é mais um trabalho realizado pela Secretaria de Governo de Indaiatuba, em prol do fomento da economia local e, consequentemente, do desenvolvimento do setor de comércio e prestação de serviços do município. Feira das Indústrias & Negócios de Indaiatuba e Região A Feira das Indústrias & Negócios de Indaiatuba e Região é um dos maiores eventos do setor de desenvolvimento econômico. O evento, que dura três dias, já está na sua sexta edição e realiza importantes palestras direcionadas aos empresários da região. Indaiatuba occupies the third place in exports in the Campinas Metropolitan Region (CMR)

Even though 2016 was a difficult year for the economy, the Indaiatuba City Hall has worked very hard, so that city’s investments would not stop. So much so, that from January to November Indaiatuba moved US$1,324,597, 261. In fact it was US$539,421,251 exports increased by 11,41% compared to the same period in 2015 and US$ 785,176,010 imports decreased by 15,26% according to the Foreign Trade Center. The numbers were: US$ 539,421,251 in exports and US$ 785,176,010 in imports. Business Roundtable With a serious and competent endeavor, the city of Indaiatuba comes along dribbling this terrible economic situation, which the country has been going through and keeping local development at a rise.

Foreign Trade Center The city of Indaiatuba provides free consulting services, related to the transactions for imported and exported products. Therefore, the city hall, through its Department of Government, seeks to help with the bureaucracy attributed to these kinds of transactions. This service is intended for those interested in this kind of trade, with a previously scheduled time. It is also possible to obtain guidance on international logistics on site.

By means of a partnership celebrated between the municipality and the Center of Industries of the State of SĂŁo Paulo (CIESP) the Business Roundtables of Indaiatuba was created. With the purpose of bringing companies of various sizes, to generate new opportunities, this initiative allows the closing of deals between the participating companies. On the Business Roundtables, meetings between the companies occur every 10 minutes and in case of international anchor companies, the length of this meeting is extended to 30 minutes and so forth. Therefore, the companies make offers and purchases according to their needs. This is yet another work carried out by the Department of Government of Indaiatuba, in order to promote the local economy and, consequently, the development of the municipalityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s sector of trade and services provision.

Catalog of Industries Fair of Industries & Businesses of Indaiatuba and its Region The Fair of Industries & Businesses of Indaiatuba and its Region is one of the largest events in the economic development sector. The event, which lasts three days, is now in its sixth edition and carries out important speeches directed to entrepreneurs in the region. The organization of the conferences is a responsibility of the Indaiatuba Business Network (IBN), which always brings issues relevant to business generation and development in the region. During the days of the fair, around 10 thousand people pass by the site to honor the exhibiting companies, which are manufacturers of various segments.

Fruits and Vegetables Festival The Fruits and Vegetables Festival is already in its 5th edition. Aiming to show and promote the products of the rural area of the municipality, the festival is a great opportunity for the rural producers to market their products. During the three days of the event, around 5,600 people give prestige to the festival, which has an average of 70 stands of fruits, vegetables and handicrafts.

Plano Municipal de Educação de Indaiatuba

O Plano Municipal de Educação de Indaiatuba (PMEI) foi criado para nortear as diretrizes e metas para a educação pública municipal, pelo período de 10 anos. A partir da execução do PMEI, a cada 2 anos, a Secretaria de Educação verifica a realização das metas estabelecidas com o plano, bem como publica a análise do mesmo. Dessa forma, o acompanhamento será frequente, o que possibilitará o direcionamento adequado da educação municipal às necessidades reais dos alunos.

A prefeitura de Indaiatuba, através da sua Secretaria de Educação também intensificou o cuidado com a alimentação escolar, para que cada vez ela se torne mais nutritiva. Tanto, que a Secretaria, com o seu Departamento de Alimentação Escolar e em parceria com a Fundação Indaiatubana de Educação e Cultura (FIEC) recebeu um prêmio do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar 2015 (PNAE), na categoria de melhor projeto de educação nutricional e alimentar. Essa premiação é fruto do excelente trabalho, que vem sendo desenvolvido nas escolas municipais da cidade, principalmente na área de alimentação escolar, através do projeto Criança Saudável.

Indaiatuba foi a primeira colocada nessa premiação, que contou com 145 projetos inscritos de diversos municípios do Estado de São Paulo.

Avaliação Municipal do Desempenho do Aluno A Avaliação Municipal do Desempenho do Aluno (AMDA) é uma avaliação pedagógica de Indaiatuba, que é aplicada em todos os anos do Ensino Fundamental e da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA); sendo por amostragem no caso da Educação Infantil. A AMDA é dividida em 3 etapas: ‘Avaliação Diagnóstica’, ‘Avaliação Semestral’ e ‘Avaliação Final’. A primeira avaliação é realizada no início do ano letivo, com o objetivo de identificar em que fase da

aprendizagem os alunos se encontram. Já a ‘Avaliação Semestral’ é realizada no final do 1º semestre, com a finalidade de verificar o avanço na aprendizagem do aluno, passados esses primeiros 6 meses de aula e a ‘Avaliação Final’ ocorre no mês de novembro, com o objetivo de verificar se os alunos da rede alcançaram os objetivos propostos ao longo do ano letivo. As disciplinas avaliadas na Avaliação Municipal do Desempenho do Aluno são: Matemática e Linguagem Oral e Escrita, para os alunos da Educação Infantil. Já os alunos do 1º ao 5º ano, bem como os da EJA, as disciplinas avaliadas são Língua Portuguesa e Matemática. Os resultados obtidos com essa avaliação, juntamente com a taxa de aprovação das escolas públicas municipais, são utilizados para o cálculo do Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Municipal

Passeios da Memória Fruto da parceria firmada entre a Secretaria de Educação e a Fundação Pró-Memória, o projeto ‘Passeios da Memória’ realiza passeios histórico cultural, com os alunos dos 4º anos da rede pública de ensino. O roteiro abrange a visitação pelo Centro de Convenções Aydil Bonachella, o Hospital Augusto de Oliveira Camargo, a Praça Rui Barbosa, a Câmara Municipal, o Parque Ecológico, o Paço Municipal, o Chafariz, o Shopping Jaraguá (Antigo Cotonifício), as Praças Dom Pedro II e Prudente de Moraes, o Casarão Cultural Pau Preto, a Igreja Matriz Nossa Senhora da Calendária e o Museu Ferroviário.

O projeto ‘Ler faz Bem’ reúne diversas ações da prefeitura de Indaiatuba referentes à leitura, escrita e confecção de livros artesanais e virtuais. Por ser um dos maiores projetos da Secretaria de Educação da cidade, ele conta com outros subprojetos, como: Memória Local na Escola, Livro Virtual, Turma da Leitura, Asas de Papel, que ganhou o Prêmio Sylvia Sannazzaro e Campanha de Incentivo à Leitura. Com esse projeto, já foram produzidos, pelos alunos do município, cerca de 15 mil livros.

Feira Literária A Feira Literária de Indaiatuba coroa o encerramento do Projeto Ler Faz Bem. Com o objetivo de incentivar a leitura e promover os trabalhos realizados em sala de aula pelos alunos. Cerca de 32 mil pessoas prestigiaram o evento, que contou com 45 estandes.

Intervenção Pedagógica Paralela (IPP) Realizada semanalmente, no horário de aula, a Intervenção Pedagógica Paralela desenvolve atividades e materiais específicos para os alunos que não estiverem acompanhando as metas de aprendizagem. Assim, eles podem tirar suas dúvidas e acompanhar o restante da turma respeitando o ritmo individualizado de aprendizagem. A IPP acontece em todas as escolas municipais de Ensino Fundamental.

Municipal Education Plan of Indaiatuba

The Municipal Education Plan of Indaiatuba (MEPI) was created to establish the guidelines and goals for public municipal education, for a period of 10 years. From the MEPIâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s implementation, every 2 years, the Secretary of Education will verify the achievement of the goals established with the plan, as well as publish an analysis of them. Thus, the follow-up will be frequent, which will enable the proper routing of the municipal education towards the real needs of the students.

The city hall of Indaiatuba, through its Department of Education has also intensified its care regarding school meals, in such a way that it is even more nutritious. So much so, that the Secretary, along with her Department of School Meals and in a partnership with the Indaiatuba Foundation of Education and Culture (IFEC) have received an award from the National Program for School Meals 2015 (NPSM), in the category of best design of nutritional and food education. This award is the result of the excellent work

that has been developed in municipal schools in the city, especially in the area of school meals, through the Healthy Child (Criança Saudável) project. Indaiatuba was given first place in the awards ceremony, which was attended by 145 projects entered from several municipalities of the State of São Paulo.

The subjects assessed in the Municipal Evaluation of Student Performance are: Mathematics and Oral and Written Language for students of Early Childhood Education. As for students from 1st to 5th year, as well as those of the AAE, the subjects assessed are the Portuguese Language and Mathematics. The results obtained from this assessment, together with the approval rate of municipal public schools, are used for the calculation of the Development Index of Municipal Education of Indaiatuba (DIMEI) and later made available in the Saber system, for access by teachers and other professionals in the area, thereby serving as the basis for new proposals and pedagogical practices.

Indaiatuba Foundation of Education and Culture (IFEC)

The Municipal Evaluation of Student Performance (MESP) is a pedagogical assessment from Indaiatuba, which is applied to all school years of Elementary School as well as from the Adolescent and Adult Education (AAE); being done by means of sampling in the case of childhood education.

The Indaiatuba Foundation of Education and Culture (IFEC) was created through the Municipal Law no 2.162; of October 03, 1985. The institution, which aims to promote the education of citizens offers courses 100% free of charge, for children, youth and adults, as well as for the elderly.

MESP is divided into 3 stages: ‘Diagnostic Assessment’, ‘Biannual Assessment’ and ‘Final Assessment’. The first assessment is performed at the beginning of the school year, with the objective of identifying what stage of learning the students finds themselves in. The ‘Biannual Assessment’, it held at the end of the first semester, aiming the evaluation of the student’s advancement in their learning, and after these first 6 months of classes, the ‘Final Assessment’ occurs in November, aiming to verify if the students of that branch have achieved the proposed goals throughout the school year.

The regular courses offered are: Management, Automation, Construction, Nursing, Computer Science, Chemistry, Electronics, Pharmacy, Logistics, Mechanical, Environmental, Labor Safety, Interior Design, Nutrition, Cooking and Mechatronics Courses and the extra-curricular activities are: Financial Management, Customer Service, Adobe Photoshop, Internal Auditing of Quality, Accounting, Building and Residential Electrician, Bookkeeping, Business Management, Marketing, and Forklift Operator; among many others offered by the institution.

Center for Continuing Education The Center for Continuing Education of Indaiatuba (CCEI) was established in order to encourage and monitor the continuous education of professionals in the public municipal education area. Among the courses offered are: Modular Course (Distance Learning) - “Pedagogical Training in the use of technology for teachers”; Pedagogical Workshops ‘Teacher to Teacher’ and reflecting the Practice in Nursery; continuing education for the educational work in pre-school and kindergarden II; Classroom management with the Lemann Foundation; MinLAb - Innovative Mind, training for 5th grade teachers; Workshop of sculpture and props in foam, for the Vidart Project and the Reading Gang (Turma da Leitura) and Reader course (Curso de Ledor). Besides organizing the first meeting of Educators from the Municipal Education Network of Indaiatuba - With the theme “The dialog and education practices that we want”; among other activities undertaken at the site, such as workshops, lectures, seminars and forums.

Reading is good for You The ‘Reading is Good for you’(Ler faz Bem) project brings together several actions made by the city hall of Indaiatuba regarding reading, writing and the crafting of handmade and virtual books. Being one of the largest projects of the city’s Department of Education, it also has the support of other subprojects, such as Local Memory at School (Memória Local na Escola), Virtual Book (Livro Virtual), Reading Gang (Turma da Leitura), Paper Wings (Asas de Papel), which won the Sylvia Sannazzaro Award and the reading encouragement campaign. With this project, the students of the municipality have produced around 15 thousand books.

Literary Fair The Literary Fair of Indaiatuba marks the closure of the Reading is good for You Project. With the object of encouraging reading and promoting the work carried out in the classroom by students. Around 32 thousand people attended the event, which featured 45 booths.

Parallel Pedagogical intervention (PPI) Carried out on a weekly basis, during school hours, the Parallel Pedagogical intervention develops specific activities and materials for those students who cannot keep up with the learning goals. Thus, they can clear their doubts and follow the rest of the class while respecting the pace of individualized learning. The PPI is held out in all municipal Elementary Schools.

A Walk Down Memory Lane (Passeios da Memória) A result of the partnership celebrated between the Department of Education and the Pro-Memory Foundation (Fundação Pró-Memória), the project ‘A Walk Down Memory Lane’carries out culturalhistorical tours, with 4th grade students from the public-school network. The itinerary includes the visitation at the Aydil Bonachella Convention Center, the Augusto de Oliveira Camargo Hospital, the Rui Barbosa Square, the Ecological Park, the Municipal Square, The Fountain, the Jaraguá Mall (Former Cotonifício), the Dom Pedro II and Prudente de Moraes Squares, the Pau Preto Cultural Main house, the Nossa Senhora da Calendária Main Church and the Railroad Museum.

Hospital Dia O Hospital Dia atende diversas especialidades além de realizar variados exames.

O Hospital Dia Dr. Renato Riggio Jr. dispõe de um centro cirúrgico, que está apto para fazer cirurgias eletivas de pequeno porte, que não tenha a necessidade de internação por mais de 12h. A unidade também abriga a Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) 1, o Laboratório Municipal, o Ambulatório de Especialidades, o Centro Cirúrgico, a Central de Regulação, o Setor de Exames/Diagnósticos por imagem e o Setor de Moléstias Infecciosas. As especialidades do Hospital Dia, na área de saúde do adulto são: cardiologia, dermatologia, endocrinologia, infectologia, nefrologia, neurologia, oncologia, ortopedia, otorrinolaringologia, pneumologia, psiquiatria, reumatologia, cirurgiões: bucomaxilofacial, cabeça e pescoço, geral, plástica, torácico, vascular e obstetra. E as especialidades infantis são: cardiologia, neurologia e cirurgião. Além de realizar os exames de endoscopia e colonoscopia, entre outros.

Projeto ‘100% Saúde’ O Projeto ‘100% Saúde’ de Indaiatuba, que é desenvolvido pela Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, em parceria com o Grupo Gesto e a Universidade de Campinas (Unicamp) é um sucesso de participantes. Visando a promoção da saúde, a reeducação alimentar, com a finalidade de assegurar uma melhor qualidade de vida da população, o projeto é totalmente gratuito. Com um ano e meio de atividades, o “100% Saúde” já atendeu mais de 1.711 participantes, eliminando 3.225,65 Kg.

Esses participantes recebem a orientação de especialistas como: psicóloga, nutricionista e cirurgião e participam de palestras semanais. Essas palestras trazem sempre temas relacionados a obesidade e suas consequências. Nos encontros também é possível esclarecer dúvidas e relatar cada vivência. Após a participação no projeto, os integrantes passam a adotar uma dieta mais saudável e equilibrada, com um cardápio balanceado; além do mais importante, que é ter uma excelente qualidade de vida. O projeto é destinado a todos os munícipes maiores de 16 anos de idade e as reuniões ocorrem todas as quartas-feiras, a partir das 18h na Câmara Municipal de Indaiatuba.

Programa VIVER O programa VIVER (Valorizando o Indivíduo e a Vida em Recuperação) foi criado com a finalidade de prevenir e combater o uso de drogas e entorpecentes, no município. O programa é multidisciplinar e faz parte de várias secretarias municipais, entidades religiosas, Organizações Não Governamentais (ONGs), as polícias civil e militar e conta com a ajuda de voluntários. Desde a sua implantação ele vem tendo muito êxito.

The Hospital Dia Dr. Renato Riggio Jr. has a surgical center, which can carry out small elective surgeries, as long as they do not require the need for hospitalization for more than 12 hours. The unit also houses the Basic Health Unit (“UBS”) 1, the Municipal Laboratory, the Specialty Outpatient Center, the Surgical Center, the Regulation Center, the Exams/Diagnostic Imaging Sector and the Sector of Infectious Diseases.

“VIVER” Project the “100% Health” has served over 1,711 participants. During this time they lost 3,225.65 Kg. The numbers of the “VIVER” Project in its 8 months of activity

The “VIVER” project (“Valuing the individual and life in recovery”) was created to prevent and fight against the use of drugs and narcotics in the city. It is a multidisciplinary project and is also part of several municipal departments, religious entities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the police (civil and military) and it counts with the help of volunteers. Since its establishment, it has had been a huge success. The “VIVER” project is structured in 5 premises. They are: To protect children and teenagers, who are not involved with drugs; to retrieve the beginners, which must be returned to a productive and healthy life; To work on the drug situation by itself, considering the need to recover chemical addicts as a mission for the society; To fight with permanent and energetic actions the trafficker and the supplier of narcotics. The program’s success is directly linked to the participation of society.

Cerca de R$ 2,7 milhões em obras de infraestrutura viária Indaiatuba possui excelente estrutura urbana, agregando o desenvolvimento e a preservação

A Secretaria de Obras e Vias Públicas de Indaiatuba vem trabalhando com afinco para garantir o ir e vir com total tranquilidade dos cidadãos. Para tanto, muitos investimentos estão sendo aplicados no setor de mobilidade urbana. Com a construção do novo anel viário da cidade, que interliga a região central à Rodovia SP-75, o trânsito local agora flui bem melhor. Essa obra recebeu recursos da prefeitura de Indaiatuba e da Agência de Fomento do Estado de São Paulo.

Outras obras importantes realizadas no município foram: a duplicação parcial e pavimentação da Alameda José Amstalden e também parcial da rodovia Lix da Cunha (SP-73). Essas obras tiveram investimentos na ordem de R$ 1.029.671,98 obtidos através do CIDE (Contribuição de Intervenção no Domínio Econômico). Além da construção de uma nova ponte no final do Parque Ecológico, a duplicação da interligação da via Martinho Lutero com a Estrada da General Motors, bem como a conclusão da Marginal Esquerda.

As novidades Outras intervenções são: a passarela metálica sobre o rio Jundiaí e o asfaltamento do loteamento Colinas de Indaiatuba II.

Obras de pavimentação No ano passado, 154 mil m² de ruas e avenidas de Indaiatuba foram recapeadas com investimentos de R$ 3.288.231,53; dos quais R$ 2.176.720,10 foram provenientes de convênios firmados com o Governo do Estado de São Paulo. E mais de 30 vias receberam a Operação Tapa-Buracos. Como as avenidas João Ambiel, Fábio Roberto Barnabé e Domingos Ferrarezi; além da rua dos Indaiás, da estrada da General Motors e do Fogueteiro e da rodovia João Ceccon; entre outras intervenções.

Muitas obras foram e estão sendo realizadas em Indaiatuba para acompanhar o desenvolvimento da cidade, entre elas, o novo acesso pela Rodovia SP75, no sentido Sorocaba-Campinas, ao Distrito Industrial da cidade. Também foi construído no local, um acesso do Distrito para a Rodovia nesse mesmo sentido. No município também foram realizadas obras de contenção de encosta do córrego Barnabé, no Jardim Morada do Sol, para conter a erosão das suas margens. E para contenção de enchentes no Jardim Califórnia, a prefeitura realizou obras de prolongamento de galerias de águas pluviais, no cruzamento da rua Domacyr Stocco Júnir, com a rua Walter Pimentel.

OBRAS Uma obra muito aguardada é a construção do primeiro elevado da cidade, que está sendo construído na Avenida Engenheiro Fábio Roberto Barnabé, Marginal Direita sobre a Avenida Manoel Ruiz Perez, no Jardim Hubert.

Jardim Alice; a Emeb “Prof. Wladimir Olivier”, no Jardim Oliveira Camargo e o Centro Integrado de Apoio à Educação de Indaiatuba (CIAEI); entre ouras intervenções, como as obras de manutenção realizadas nas unidades escolares.

Essa obra está orçada em torno de R$ 7 milhões provenientes de recursos do Governo Federal, através do Programa Pró-Transporte. Além da construção do elevado, as vias no seu entorno serão recapeadas, também serão realizadas obras de drenagem e contenção do córrego Barnabé nesse trecho. Após a conclusão das obras, o viaduto terá entre o acesso e elevado, 385,70 metros de extensão.

Já na área da saúde o destaque foi a construção do prédio da Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) da Cecap. Nessa obra foi investido R$ 1.022.662,56; dos quais R$ 800 mil foram provenientes do Governo Federal. Outras obras importantes foram a reforma do antigo prédio do Mini Hospital, no qual funciona o Centro Especializado de Saúde, situado no Jardim Morada do Sol e a reforma do Centro de Especialidades Odontológicas (CEO); entre outras.

A área da educação também recebeu muitos investimentos, que giraram em torno de R$ 29 milhões. Os principais foram a construção do Complexo Educacional do Parque das Nações, que conta com duas piscinas, quadra poliesportiva, 10 salas para oficinas e campo de futebol, entre outros espaços. Bem como a creche “Profº José Balduino de Campos”, no Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) da Cecap.

Around R$ 2.7 million in public works for road infrastructure

The Department of Public Works and Public Roads in Indaiatuba is working hard to ensure the freedom of movement of its citizens. To reach this goal, many investments are being applied in the sector of urban mobility. With the construction of the new ring road of the city, which connects the downtown to the Highway SP75, the local traffic now flows much better. This project received investments from the city of Indaiatuba and from the Funding Agency of the State of São Paulo.

Other important public works held in the municipality were: partial duplication and paving of the Boulevard José Amstalden and Highway Lix da Cunha (SP-73). PUBLIC WORKS A long-awaited urban work is the construction of the first sustained area of the city, which is being built on Engenheiro Fábio Roberto Barnabé Avenue, Right Marginal on the Manoel Ruiz Perez Avenue, in Jardim Hubert. This work is budgeted at around BRL 7 million from resources of the Federal Government, through the “PróTransporte” Program. In addition to the construction of the sustained area, the ways in its surroundings will be re-asphalted, and works of drainage and containment of the Barnabé’s Creek in this passage will also be performed. After the completion of the works, the viaduct will be between the access and the sustained area around 385.70 meters in length. The area of education also received many investments, which have turned around BRL 29 million. The main actions were the construction of the Educational Complex of Parque das Nações, which has two swimming pools, sports court, 10 conference rooms for workshops and a football field, among other venues. Also, actions

performed for the “Prof. José Balduino de Campos” nursery, in Jardim Alice; the “Prof. Wladimir Olivier” Elementary School, in Jardim Oliveira Camargo and the Integrated Center of Education Support of Indaiatuba (CIAEI); among other interventions, such as maintenance works carried out in the school units. For the health sector, the highlight was the construction of the building for the Basic Health Unit (“UBS”) of Cecap. For this urban work, it has been invested BRL 1,022.662.56; of which BRL 800 thousand were from the Federal Government. Other important public works were the reform of the old building of the Mini Hospital, in which the Specialized Care Center works, situated in the Jardim Morada do Sol and the reform of the Dental Specialists Center (CEO); among others. In the sports sector, the works of highlight were the reform of the Municipal Sport Gymnasium and of the Municipal Gymnasium and the construction of a multipurpose pool for Worker’s Sport Center; and many other interventions.

Indaiatuba ocupa o segundo lugar do Brasil em Responsabilidade Social Projeto Social Vida Feliz - Funssol.

Indaiatuba ficou na segunda colocação em Responsabilidade Social, dentre todos os municípios brasileiros, segundo o anuário da Revista Isto É. Isso é prova da seriedade com a qual, a política social vem sendo tratada no município. Como no caso do departamento de Proteção Social Básica de Indaiatuba, que atende o cidadão em situação de vulnerabilidade social, com o objetivo de desenvolver suas potencialidades, bem como de fortalecer seu vínculo familiar e social.

Para tanto, a prefeitura da cidade, através da sua Secretaria da Família e do Bem Estar Social mantém unidades específicas de atendimento à população. Como as unidades do Centro de Referência de Assistência Social (CRAS) do município, que realiza anualmente uma média de mais de 9 mil atendimentos. Nos CRAS, os familiares são atendidos pelo serviço de Proteção e Atendimento Integral à Família (PAIF) e pelo Serviço de Convivência e Fortalecimento de Vínculo (SCFV).

O CRAS Mirim e o CRAS Jovem O Cras Mirim de Indaiatuba atende 379 crianças desenvolvendo atividades como: futebol, contação de histórias, jazz, jogos teatrais e a oficina ‘Reciclar e Enfeitar’. No local também são realizadas reuniões periódicas com os pais ou responsáveis pelas crianças.

CRAS Jovem

Já o Cras Jovem atendeu, no ano passado, 168 adolescentes, um salto no número de atendimento se comparado a 2013; quando ele atendeu apenas 30 jovens e até o final deste ano, a previsão é de que esse número aumente. No local é tratado os conflitos vivenciados na adolescência, direcionando-os para a iniciação das suas vidas profissionais, através do Programa Jovem Aprendiz. As atividades realizadas são: curso de inglês, informática e preparação para o mercado de trabalho; além de participarem de atividades culturais e de lazer. Diariamente um Orientador Social acompanha os adolescentes em todas as atividades que são realizadas no local. Gente Eficiente

Centro de Referência Especializado de Assistência Social (CREAS) O CREAS atende cidadãos e famílias, que tenham passado por algum tipo de abuso ou violência sexual e/ou doméstica, principalmente as praticadas contra crianças e adolescentes. Lá também são atendidos adolescentes, que estão cumprindo medidas socioeducativas de Liberdade Assistida (LA) e Prestação de Serviço à Comunidade (PSC), além de mulheres em situação de violência e pessoas em situação de rua. A média anual de atendimento é de mais de 3 mil pessoas.

Centro de Referência em Atenção à Pessoa com Deficiência Visando a inclusão social, o Centro de Referência em Atenção à Pessoa com Deficiência desenvolve atividades de convivência para o exercício da cidadania e autoestima. No local também é desenvolvido o Projeto Gente Eficiente, que visa a inclusão no mercado

de trabalho e o curso de Libras. Normalmente cerca de 1.900 atendimentos são realizados pelo Centro. Dentre as oficinas oferecidas estão: pintura em tela, bijuteria, culinária e desenho artístico, entre outros.

Projetos do Fundo Social de Solidariedade (Funssol) de Indaiatuba O Funssol trabalha permanentemente para melhorar a qualidade de vida da população. Os cursos de geração de renda, que são oferecidos no local são um sucesso de público, tanto, que as turmas foram ampliadas. No Projeto Padaria Artesanal, do Fundo Social, são disponibilizados os cursos de: ‘Pães e Bolos’, ‘Doces e Salgados’ e ‘Bolos e Doces Confeitados’. Cerca de 330 alunos frequentam os cursos disponibilizados no Espaço Cidadania e no Jardim Morada do Sol. Viagens com grupos da 3ª idade - Funssol.

Projeto Vida Feliz O projeto Vida Feliz, através do ‘Aqua Vitae’, disponibiliza aulas de hidroginástica, em uma piscina adaptada, no Centro Esportivo do Trabalhador (CET), que é muito procurada pela população. Outra ação de sucesso é o projeto ‘Movimento’, que oferece aulas de alongamento e dançaterapia. Mensalmente são realizados 120 atendimentos em dois polos: Castelo Branco e Associação 12 de Junho.

Indaiatuba is the second best Brazilian city in Social Responsibility

Indaiatuba was considered the second best place in Social Responsibility among all Brazilian municipalities, according to the yearbook of “Isto É” Magazine. This is an evidence of the serious policies that the city hall has been implementing in the social context of the city. As in the case of the Department of Basic Social Protection of Indaiatuba, which helps the citizens in situations of social vulnerability, with the objective of developing their potential, as well as to strengthen their family and social ties.

In this regard, the city’s administration, through its Department of Family and Social Welfare maintains specific care units for the population. Such as the units of the Reference Center for Social Assistance (“CRAS”) of the municipality, which conducts an annual average of over 9,000 visits. In the CRAS, the Service of Protection and Integral Care to the Family (“PAIF”) and by the Service of Interaction and Strengthening of Ties (“SCFV”) orient the family.

The activities performed are: English and Computer courses, and the preparation for the labor market; in addition to the participation in cultural and leisure activities. A Social Counselor follows the teenagers dayby-day in all activities performed on site.

Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (“CREAS”) The “Creas” serves citizens and families who have gone through some kind of abuse, be it sexual and/or domestic violence, especially those committed against children and adolescents. There are also treated adolescents, who are serving to socio-educational measures of Assisted Freedom (“LA”) and Community Service (“PSC”), in addition to women in situations of violence and people living on the streets. Every year, the project helps around 3,000 people.

Center of Reference in Attention to the Person with a Disability Aiming for social inclusion, the Center of Reference in Attention to the Person with a Disability develops activities of coexistence. On the site the “Efficient People” Project (“Projeto Gente Eficiente”) is also developed, that aims for social inclusion in the labor market and provides Sign Language Courses. Usually around 1,900 visits are carried out by the Center. Among the workshops offered are: painting on canvas, jewelry, cuisine and artistic design, among others.

Funssol permanently works to improve the quality of people’s life. The income generation courses, which are offered on site, are a hit with the public, so much so, that the groups were expanded. In the Craft Bakery Project, from the Social Fund, the following courses are made available: ‘Bread and cakes’, ‘Sweet and Salted’ and ‘Confectionery Cakes and Sweets’. Approximately 330 students attend the courses offered in the Citizenship Space and in Jardim Morada do Sol. As for the Charming Scissor Project, the following courses are available: Beginner´s Sewing, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Charity Patchwork; Creative Sewing, Cutting and Sewing and Intertwined. Other projects carried out by the Social Solidarity Fund of Indaiatuba are: ‘Digital Inclusion’, ‘Hummingbird (Beija Flor)’, ‘Holding Hands (Mãos Dadas)’, ‘Pregnant (Gestante)’ and ‘Lever’ (Alavanca).

Happy Life Project (Projeto Vida Feliz) The Happy Life Project, through the ‘Aqua Vitae’, offers water aerobics classes, in a specially adapted swimming pool, in the Worker´s Sports Center (CET), which is much appreciated by the population. Another successful action is the ‘Movement’ project (Movimento), which offers stretching and dancing-therapy classes. Monthly, 120 visits are received in two centers: Castelo Branco and Associação 12 de Junho.

Prefeitura entregou mais de 3 mil unidades habitacionais e beneficiou mais de 13 mil cidadão Parcerias que beneficiam o bem estar da população de Indaiatuba.

A Prefeitura de Indaiatuba, por meio da Secretaria da Habitação entregou 3.708 unidades habitacionais, beneficiando cerca de 13.600 cidadãos. O Destaque é a entrega dos apartamentos populares do Residencial Indaiatuba, localizado no bairro planejado Parque Campo Bonito, pelo PMCMV (Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida) faixa 1. A Secretaria da Habitação iniciou a construção do Campo Bonito em 2013 e durante todo ano trabalho no planejamento e obras das unidades

Habitacionais. Entregou em 2014 o Residencial Tamoios I e II com 80 casas sobrepostas. Em 2015 foram entregues o Residencial Vitória Régia com 296 apartamento e o Parque Campo Bonito com 873 casas. Em 2016 foram entregues em evento oficial da Presidência da República os 2.048 apartamentos do Residencial Indaiatuba e posteriormente foram entregues as 124 casas do Residencial Tucanos. Com a construção de mais 287 casas do Residencial Andorinhas, a Prefeitura somou as 3.708 residências.

O Parque Campo Bonito é o maior empreendimento habitacional já construído em Indaiatuba e além dos imóveis populares conta com mais 400 lotes mistos, visando à integração do comércio, serviços e moradia, garantindo o controle urbanístico, a geração de trabalho e renda, o acesso a serviços, visando à qualidade de vida da população local. No local foram construídas duas unidades escolares, uma de Educação Infantil e outra de Ensino Fundamental, uma Creche, um Centro Comunitário e uma UBS (Unidade Básica de Saúde). A Prefeitura ainda investiu em obras de infraestrutura no empreendimento com pavimentação das ruas de acesso, redes de água, esgotamento sanitário, drenagem, energia elétrica e disponibilidade de acesso ao transporte público.

Programa de Planta de Moradia Econômica O Programa de Planta de Moradia Econômica tem o objetivo de proporcionar às famílias de baixa renda do município, que tenham um único imóvel, a aquisição da planta de moradia econômica do seu imóvel, de até 60 m². Esse programa é desenvolvido pela prefeitura de Indaiatuba, em parceria com a Associação dos Engenheiros e Arquitetos da cidade. Para se beneficiar com o programa é preciso passar pela triagem realizada pela equipe técnica e social da prefeitura, de acordo com os requisitos preestabelecidos na Lei Municipal de nº 3118/1994.

Projeto João de Barro

Com a finalidade de regularizar os imóveis de famílias de baixa renda, com plantas de levantamento cadastral/regularização, de acordo com a Lei Municipal de nº 5053/2007; o programa Procidadão vem beneficiando muitas famílias. Através desse programa, após a regularização da planta do imóvel, também é realizado a entrega do habite-se.

O Projeto João de Barro consiste em realizar a reforma de moradias conforme os requisitos da Lei Municipal de nº 6266/2014. Para ser atendido pelo projeto, primeiramente é preciso ser o dono legal do imóvel e, a partir daí é realizado um levantamento e análise social dos munícipes cadastrados na prefeitura. Se esses pré-requisitos forem preenchidos, o imóvel selecionado passará por uma reforma de acordo com um projeto elaborado pela prefeitura.

City Hall delivered more than 3 thousand units of housing and benefited more than 13 thousand citizens

The Indaiatuba City Hall, through the Department of Housing delivered 3,708 housing units, benefiting about 13,600 citizens. The highlight is the delivery of the popular apartments of Residencial Indaiatuba, located in the neighborhood planned Campo Bonito Park, by PMCMV (My Home My Life Program) track 1. The Department of Housing started the construction of Campo Bonito in 2013 and throughout the year work on the planning and construction of housing units. Delivered in 2014 the Residencial Tamoios I and II with 80 houses superimposed. In 2015 the Residencial VitĂłria Regia was delivered with 296 apartments and Campo Bonito Park with 873 houses. In 2016 the 2,048 apartments of the Residencial Indaiatuba were delivered in an official event of the Presidency of the Republic and the 124 houses of the Residencial Tucanos

were later delivered. With the construction of 287 more houses of the Andorinhas Residence, the City Hall added the 3,708 residences. The Campo Bonito Park is the largest housing development ever built in Indaiatuba. In addition to the popular properties, it has 400 mixed lots, aiming at the integration of commerce, services and housing, guaranteeing urban control, generating work and income, access to Quality of life of the local population. Two school units were built at the site, one for Infant Education and another for Elementary School, a Nursery, a Community Center and a Basic Health Unit (UBS). The City Hall also invested in infrastructure works in the project with pavement access roads, water networks, sewage, drainage, electricity and availability of access to public transportation.

Economic Floorplan Program The Economic Floorplan Program has the goal to provide low-income families in the municipality, which own a single property, the acquisition of the economic floorplan of their property, of up to 60 m². This program is developed by the city of Indaiatuba, in partnership with the Association of Engineers and Architects in the city. In order to benefit from the program, you must undergo a screening performed by the city hall’s technical and social team, according to the requirements established in the Municipal Law No. 3118/1994.

Procitizen Program (“Programa Pró-Cidadão”) With the purpose of regulating the buildings for low-income families, with plants of cadastral survey/ regulation, in accordance with the Municipal Law

No. 5053/2007; the Procitizen program (“Programa Pró-Cidadão”) has benefited many families. Through this program, after the regularization of the property’s floorplan, the delivery of the certificate of occupancy is also carried out.

João de Barro Project The João de Barro Project consists in carrying out the housing reform in accordance to the requirements laid out by the Municipal Law No 6266/2014. First, to be served by the project, you must be the legal owner of the real estate and, from there on, it is conducted a survey and social analysis of the citizens registered at the city hall. If these prerequisites are met, the property you selected will go through a reform in accordance with a project drawn up by the city hall.

Estruturação da rede de saneamento básico Reservatório do Jardim Regente.

O crescimento populacional e demográfico de Indaiatuba, nos últimos anos, necessitava de uma atenção especial às questões básicas de estruturação da cidade, como o serviço de água e esgoto. Por isso, a prefeitura investiu na ampliação do sistema de abastecimento e tratamento de água no município. Através do Serviço Autônomo de Água e Esgoto (SAAE), muitas ações foram realizadas com a finalidade de garantir a qualidade de vida dos indaiatubanos. Diariamente, o SAAE trata 63 milhões de litros de água, para atender 98,5% da população com água potável. O município coleta 96,23% de esgoto, dos quais 85,97% são tratados.

Novos reservatórios O sistema de abastecimento de água de Indaiatuba foi ampliado. Com a construção de novos reservatórios de água tratada, os Centros de Reservação (CR), a capacidade de armazenamento do município passou de 30,3 milhões de litros para 72,8 milhões de litros de água. Os novos reservatórios são: CR Tadao Toyama, CR Mato Dentro, CR Lauro Bueno de Camargo, CR ETA II, CR Morada do Sol (Cristo), CR Buru, CR Regente, CR Caldeira e CR Santa Dulce.

E os investimentos não pararam por aí. A atual administração de Indaiatuba também construiu 3 novas Estações Elevatórias de Água Tratada, no CR Mato Dentro, CR Tadao Toyama e CR Morada do Sol. Para interligar os novos reservatórios até as Estações de Tratamento de Água foram construídas 16 adutoras.

A Barragem do Rio Capivari-Mirim A prefeitura de Indaiatuba construiu a Barragem do Rio Capivari-Mirim, que ampliou significativamente, a oferta de água no município. Essa barragem originará um lago com capacidade para armazenar 1,3 bilhão de litros de água. Essa obra teve investimentos de mais de R$ 40 milhões, sendo 70% desse valor de recursos do SAAE e o restante proveniente da Fundação Nacional da Saúde (Funasa).

Programa de Combate às Perdas de Água Com investimentos do SAAE, do Fundo Estadual de Recursos Hídricos (Fehidro) e do Programa Estadual de Apoio à Recuperação das Águas (Reágua), do Governo do Estado de São Paulo; o Programa de Combate às Perdas de Água, como o próprio nome já diz, tem a finalidade de reduzir as perdas de água na cidade. As ações adotadas para atingir esse objetivo foram a implantação do Centro de Controle de Operações (CCO), que é um sistema integrado de monitoramento online e a instalação de pontos de macromedição de vazão e pressão; entre outras ações. Outra ação importante de combate às perdas foi a implantação do Sistema de Reaproveitamento das Águas de Lavagem dos Filtros e Decantadores da ETA I, que vem economizando 500 mil litros de água tratada por dia.

Educação Ambiental Indaiatuba desenvolve programas de Educação Ambiental, com a finalidade de acabar com o desperdício de água nas escolas municipais, através do programa Educa Água. Por meio de peças de teatro, palestras e outras ações é trabalhado com os alunos o consumo consciente.

Structuring of the basic sanitation network Reservoir JD Regente.

In recent years, the population and demographic growth in Indaiatuba needed special attention to basic issues of structuring of the city, such as the water and sewage services. Therefore, the city has invested in the expansion of water supply and treatment system in the municipality. Using the Autonomous Service of Water and Sewer (“SAAE”), many actions were carried out aiming to ensure the quality of life of the citizens of Indaiatuba. The SAAE treats 63 million liters of water per day to provide drinking water for 98.5% of the population. The municipality collects 96.23% of sewage, of which 85.97% is treated.

New reservoirs Indaiatuba’s water supply system has been expanded. With the construction of new treated water reservoirs, the Centers of Reservation (CR), the storage capacity of the municipality went from 30.3 million liters to 72.8 million liters of water. The new reservoirs are: CR Tadao Toyama, CR Mato Dentro, CR Lauro Bueno de Camargo, CR ETA II, CR Morada do Sol (Cristo), CR Buru, CR Regente, CR Caldeira e CR Santa Dulce.

But there are even more investments. The current administration of Indaiatuba also built three new Pumping Stations of Treated Water, in CR Mato Dentro, CR Tadao Toyama and CR Morada do Sol. To connect the new reservoirs to the Water Treatment Stations, 16 adductors were built.

The Capivari-Mirim River Dam The city of Indaiatuba has built the Capivari-Mirim River Dam, which has significantly expanded the supply of water in the municipality.

This dam will result in a lake able to store up to 1.3 billion liters of water. This public work had investments of over BRL 40 million, 70% of the amount of resources from the SAAE and the other 30% from the National Health Foundation (Funasa).

Water Loss Avoidance Program With investments from the SAAE, the State Fund of Hydric Resources (Fehidro) and the State Program of Support to Water Recovery (Reágua), the Government of the State of São Paulo; the Water Loss Avoidance Program, as the name implies, has the purpose of reducing the water loss in the city.

Museum of Water (Museu da Água) The actions taken to achieve this goal were the implementation of the Operations Control Center (“BCC”), which is an integrated system of online monitoring and the installation of flow and pressure macro-measurement; among other actions. Another important action to avoid this water loss was the deployment of the Water Reuse System used to Wash the Filters and Decanters of ETA I, which comes to save 500 thousand liters of treated water per day.

Environmental Education

The Water Museum

Indaiatuba develops environmental education programs, aiming to end water waste in municipal schools, through the program “Teach Water” (“Educa Água”). By means of plays, lectures and other activities, the students are taught about conscious consumption.

Besides being beautiful and a good option for spending leisure time with the whole family, the Water Museum of Indaiatuba also does not forget its main function, which is becoming a reference in environmental education, for the management of hydric resources.

ESPORTES

Investimentos na infraestrutura esportiva da cidade O Ginásio de esportes de Indaiatuba foi totalmente reformado e possui estrutura para receber grandes eventos.

A prefeitura de Indaiatuba vem investindo muito na infraestrutura esportiva da cidade. Os locais destinados à prática esportiva passaram por reformas de readequação dos seus espaços, para melhor atender a população. O município investe mais de 2,5% do seu orçamento no esporte, segundo a prefeitura. Essa porcentagem é acima da média do valor destinado ao esporte em outras cidades.

Para atender ainda mais munícipes, novos equipamentos esportivos foram inaugurados, desde que a atual administração está à frente da prefeitura da cidade. Como o velódromo municipal, que é administrado pela Confederação Brasileira e pela Federação Paulista de Ciclismo e a nova piscina do Centro Esportivo do Trabalhador (CET).

Já o Ginásio Municipal de Eportes foi reformado. As intervenções realizadas no local foram: a ampliação das salas de ginástica e musculação, a cobertura da quadra, nova caixa d’água, revisão elétrica, manutenção hidráulica, pintura interna e externa e readequação no departamento administrativo.

Outro local que também passou por reformas foi o Parque Corolla. Nele é realizado aulas de karatê, jiu-jitsu, capoeira, aulas de ginástica e musculação. Também foi aberto o Polo Esportivo Cruzeiro, com campos de rugby e futebol e inaugurado o novo espaço da Academia Municipal, que passou por uma completa reforma.

Esporte Cidadão O projeto Esporte Cidadão atende crianças e jovens de 6 a 17 anos, disponibilizando 20 modalidades totalmente gratuitas, em 18 polos esportivos municipais. O Conselho Federal de Educação Física (Confef ), apontou o projeto Esporte Cidadão, como referência nacional, em sua publicação, na qual apontava os diferenciais do projeto. Desenvolvido pela Secretaria Municipal de Esportes e com parceria público-privada coordenada pela ONED (Organização Nacional das Entidades do Desporto), o projeto é patrocinado por grandes empresas, através da Lei de Incentivo de nº 11.438/2016.

Inclusão através do Esporte, Indaiatuba possui estrutura para a prática de variadas modalidades.

ESPORTES

Além de trabalhar as modalidades esportivas, o ‘Esporte Cidadão’ também trabalha com as crianças e os jovens atendidos, cidadania, ética e a inclusão social.

Atualmente, o projeto Lazer atende mais de 6 mil pessoas, que são alocadas em diferentes modalidades. Dentre elas: ginástica, musculação, jump, hidroginástica, voleibol, muay thai e condicionamento físico.

Projeto Lazer

Dentro do projeto Lazer é realizado o programa Ginástica no Parque, que estimula a prática esportiva e que atrai um grande público para o Parque Ecológico, onde as ações são realizadas. O ‘Ginástica no Parque’, já está na sua 12ª edição e a cada ano atrai novos adeptos.

O projeto Lazer desenvolve atividades esportivas com os adultos e idosos de Indaiatuba. Com o objetivo de promoção da saúde e socialização entre os participantes do projeto, ele atende muitos cidadãos.

Circuito Esportivo 1º de maio Para celebrar o feriado de 1º de maio foi criado o Circuito Esportivo, que está na sua 5ª edição. Nesse dia, as atividades esportivas são realizadas no Parque Ecológico da cidade.

A prova da Corrida Cidade de Indaiatuba já está na sua 21ª edição. Cerca de 2 mil pessoas participam da prova, que já faz parte do calendário de eventos do município.

A prefeitura de Indaiatuba criou os cargos de carreira para os profissionais de educação física, através da Lei Complementar de nº 26/2015.

Investments in the city’ sports infrastructure

The administration of Indaiatuba has been investing heavily in the city’s sports infrastructure. The sites intended for sports practice went through space readjustment reforms, to better serve the people. The municipality invests over 2.5% of its budget in sports, according to city representatives. This percentage is above the average of the budget usually directed to the sector in other cities. To reach even more residents, new sports facilities were inaugurated, since the current administration 88

took office. Such as the municipal velodrome, which is managed by the Brazilian Confederation and the Paulista Federation of Cycling and the new pool for the Worker’s Sports Center (“CET”). Also, the Municipal Sport Gymnasium was reformed. The interventions carried out on the site were: the expansion of the fitness and bodybuilding areas, the painting of the sports block, the new water reservoir, the electrical review, the hydraulic maintenance, the inside/outside painting and some adaptations in the administrative department.

Another site that also went through reforms was the Corolla Park. Over there you can find karate, jiujitsu, capoeira and fitness classes, and a bodybuilding hall. Along with the new activities, the Cruzeiro Sport Center was opened for the public, with rugby and soccer fields and the new space on the Municipal Gym, which went through a complete overhaul, was inaugurated.

“Esporte Cidadão” Project The “Esporte Cidadão” project offers around 20 sport activities for free to children and teenagers, from the age of 6 to the age of 17, in 18 municipal sports centers. The Federal Council of Physical Education (“Confef ”), in its publication, considered the “Esporte Cidadão” project a national reference, while also pointing out the many differentials of this initiative.

Developed by the Municipal Sports Department and with a public/private partnership, coordinated by the National Organization of Sports Entities (ONED), the project is sponsored by great companies, through the Law of Incentive no. 11.438/2016. In addition to working with these sports activities, the “Esporte Cidadão” also teaches these children and teenagers concepts of citizenship, ethics and social inclusion.

Leisure Project This project develops sports activities for the adults and elderly people of Indaiatuba. Promoting socialization and a healthy lifestyle for those who participate in this project, it has been a huge success in the city.

Currently, the “Projeto Lazer” helps more than 6,000 people, who are allocated in different activities. Among them: Gymnastics, bodybuilding, jump, aqua aerobics, volleyball, muay thai and physical conditioning.

A parallel program called “Gymnastics in the Park” (“Ginástica no Parque”) is carried out inside the project, which stimulates sports practices, attracting many citizens to the Ecological Park, where the activities are performed. This program is already in its 12th edition and each year it attracts new fans.

Sports Circuit “May 1st” To celebrate the 1st day of May (“Labor Day”, in Brazil) the sport circuit was created and it is in its 5th edition. On this day, the sports activities are carried out in the city’s Ecological Park.

City Marathon

Complementary Law

The City Marathon of Indaiatuba is already in its 21st edition. About 2,000 people participate in the marathon, which is certainly by now a part of the calendar of events in the city.

The city hall of Indaiatuba has created the positions of careers for professionals of Physical Education, through the Complementary Law no. 26/2015.
