Education with technology and humanization
Major investments in technology in education marked the beginning of the 2019 school year. With the arrival of 11,000 chromebooks, digital whiteboards, virtual reality glasses and 110 videoconferencing equipment, Barueri was once again a pioneer, being the first city in Brazil to adopt the Google For Education platform throughout the education network.
Remarkable Minds and Khan Academy reinforced pedagogical activities. The training of teachers was constant and it is worth mentioning the involvement of teachers with the Ludic Gamified platform. All this effort resulted in 205 medals won by students from the municipal network in national knowledge Olympics (OBA and Obmep).
In an innovative way, the Department of Education implemented the application of tests on chromebooks. The assessments were also carried out in sign language, integrating about 70 students with hearing impairment from the network.
Another great achievement for Barueri was the expansion of the Filosofia em Ação project, which in 2019 won spaces in all elementary schools. The project went beyond the transmission of content and successfully became a special place for dialogue, affection, outburst, exchange of experiences and empathy.
