Question 1: What are Durer’s rules for perspectival projection? (Maximum 100 words)
Durer has 3 rules for perspectival projection . 1. All perpendicular or “orthogonal” lines must meet at a vanishing point which is revolves around a perpendicular line drawn from the eye to the picture plane. 2. All parallel lines lines need to have a common vanishing point. 3. equal dimensions need to disappear as they move further in space so that any portion of the picture is measurable.
Question 2: Describe homogenous space? (Maximum 100 words)
A homogeneous space is a mathematical space. All elements/ points in a homogenous space are joined only to be representations of position rather than possessing independent content of their own. The figures in this space can be drawn from every point in space in every direction and magnitude.

QUAD PERSPECTIVE 1 + 2 Real This scene shows a complicated perspective space connection, which can demonstrate changeable mood of person. Moreover, the various sides of building surface also make the space look larger.
Imagination In this scene, the space looks more void than complicated. Therefore, there are large area to demonstrate the people group's movement and numerous placements of furniture and decorations. Moreover, the imagination can be boundless and never end up, the large space can contribute to displaying different scenes of different age.

PERSPECTIVE SCENE 1 + 2
Real. This perspective collage is based on the real situation according to the reference reading. In the real word, the drawing presents a more poor and simple village living life strongly compared with imaginative word. As mentioned in the story, "the streets are long and straight", which displayed at the left side of drawing. On the right side, the a old carriage demonstrated a heavy - laboured work of peasants. Moreover, there were several pieces of broken cloth and cracks against walls to enhance a specific atmosphere.
Imagination. This perspective collage is based on the imaged condition from the sixth chapter of book. It roughly demonstrated a combination of Marco polo's description where came from his experience of journey. The drawing included several elements, such as waterfall, vigorous climbers, roman columns, mid-century decorations and Venice's boat which was said the hometown of Marco polo.

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:
Question 1: IWhat is the difference between autographic and allographic practice? (Maximum 100 words)
The main differences between autographic and allographic practice is that allographic practice is capable of being reproduced whereas autographic practice is not. Autographic is to be the author, artist, etc. Autographic practice is the art of painting and sculpture that depend on the direct contact of the author unlike allographic art which consists of music, poetry and theatre that operate through interpretation.
Question 2: Why do architects need new representational techniques? (Maximum 100 words)
Architects need new representational techniques as they currently focus on developing the surface of the city rather than its structure. Drawings and plans are meant to be instructive and to aid others in their understanding of the structure. It can not be comparted to music or artwork as the structure has yet to exist in reality
