REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMN AND BEAM ( FRAME STRUCTURE ) THE REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAME IS A SUPERSTRUCTURE MADE UP OF HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL COMPONENTS, SUCH AS COLUMNS AND BEAMS. THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE, INCLUDING THE BEAMS AND COLUMNS, IS MONOLITHIC, MEANING THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE IS CAST IN A SINGLE OPERATION. THE VERTICAL ELEMENTS, OR COLUMNS, OF THIS STRUCTURE, SUPPORT THE WHOLE LOAD OF THE BUILDING. IF A BEAM OR SLAB IN THIS CONSTRUCTION IS DAMAGED, IT WILL ONLY EFFECT ONE LEVEL; HOWEVER, IF COLUMNS ARE DAMAGED, IT WILL AFFECT THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE. REINFORCED CONCRETE FLOOR (POLISHED) REINFORCED CONCRETE HAS A HIGH COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH BY EMBEDDING THE STEEL BARS IN THE FLOOR BEFORE THE CONCRETE IS POURED OVER IT AND CURED. IT HELPS CONCRETE FLOORS RESIST HIGH PRESSURE, HIGH TRAFFIC, AND A LOT OF WEAR AND TEAR OVER TIME. THE FACADE'S PRINCIPLE IS BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF A DOUBLE-SKIN THAT ALLOWS LIGHT AND AIR TO BE MODULATED VIA THE STRUCTURE. THE SCREEN ALSO SERVES AS AN AESTHETIC PURPOSE IN THIS PROJECT, SERVING AS A DYNAMIC FAÇADE WHERE VARIOUS SPECIES ARE GROUPED TO PRODUCE PATTERNS.
