Question 1: What is Pictorial Space according to Le Corbusier? (Maximum 100 words) Le Corbusier’s viewpoint of pirctorial space is that which cannot be ‘entered or circulated through’ as it presents as a flat space. It is space viewed from front perspective which all objects with no depth. For lendorbusier, the counterpoint between frontality and rotation equals contrast. Further, frontality and distance combine to allow knowledge of the real only by inference.
Question 2: The Flatness of Le Corbusier’s painting’s are attributable to two properties. What are they? And what are these pitted against?(Maximum 100 words) Firstly, Le Corbusier uses ‘mariage de contour’ which wedge together the the constellation of objects to ensure insistent continuty of the edges. Secondly, Le Corbusier employs colour and textural integers to define the notion of depth. It pitted against falt shapes within his wroks to help to define the obeject from its surroundings, which depict depth of the obejcts by utilising white pigment rather than black blocks to creat the sense fo flatness.

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:
Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection? (Maximum 100 words) pictoral space uses vanishing points, converging projectors and picture plans, it will limit space and cannot be moved through, it can only be viewed from a distance whereas projection demonstrated the correlation betwee objections and a space which it would occupy in the real world. pictoral and projection both allow depth to be represented while prictoral is more based on inference and projection is more measurble and precise as the scale and size is lept proportionally on a particular perspective.
Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? (Maximum 100 words) Axonometric projection first utilized for military purpose as it could provide exact measurements to plot the paths of projectiles. The preciseness of projection drawings been effectively used to rotate, explod obejcts in a methematically correct fromat which applied to the design of machinery or other sectors.

ILLUSTRATED MARIO’S NEW WORLD
The linewroks are traced form the combined mairo’s world completed via Adobe Illustrator. The colour and shape based from the original images. Gradian tool are used and shades are added to create the depth between the space and obejects.

APPENDIX
Using a set sqare, T-squre and pencil to draw the mario world projection on A3 tracing paper. A rough elevation with measurement help tp indicate the height of objects.
Finally comebined the front and back section of mario world completed by 0.1 and 0.4 finline pen. Covered the hidden spaces and scanned to parpere the next step.
The back section of mario hand drawing.
