SERVICES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS The International Programs Office promotes and supports on- and off-campus cross-cultural programs like Wartburg Culture Week and offers international students a welcoming place to get advice and assistance. Wartburg is unique in offering the Host Family Program for every international student. Waverly host families invite students to their homes and gather several times a year for group events with their student partners; what a great way to get involved in the community! International Club is one of the largest organizations on the Wartburg campus and includes both international and American students. International Club participates in Homecoming, Lunar New Year, and other events. The Pathways Center offers services in academic planning, career preparation, and counseling. International students can also take advantage of the Writing, Reading, Speaking Lab, a free service that provides peer mentors to help students with the transition to college-level academic work.

The Best of Both Worlds

Be a star on and off the field at Wartburg. Excel in the classroom and in a sport—you can have it all. Work with experienced coaches, train at the state-of-the-art facilities in The W, and experience opportunities you may not get elsewhere. Wartburg has had 39 Academic All-Americans since 2000, and 79 total in school history. The school record is five Academic All-Americans in one year.

Weight rooms, a rock climbing wall, a waterslide, basketball courts, and more—they’re all housed in the Wartburg-Waverly Sports & Wellness Center, which we call The W. The W is one of the largest NCAA Division III facilities of its kind in the nation. Learn about all the facilities housed in the 200,000-square-foot center at www.The-W.org.
