T
he much-awaited Day One of the grand finale of the HT City Youth Nexus 2012, took place at Motilal Nehru College on Wednesday. The finale was high on fashion, music and theatre, and saw performances by the finalists for Uprisers — the street play competition, Rockonova — the rock band competition and Vivel Face of Campus. Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College won Uprisers and Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College finished in the second position. Tuhina Carrol of Miranda House and Avi of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) won the Vivel Face of Campus. At Rockonova, Sankraman of Guru Hargobind Singh Institute of Management was declared the winner, while Revival Stage of DCAC came second. The two bands will perform at the cricket team Delhi Daredevil’s home ground matches during IPL Season 5. JESSICA SHARMA
