There were many fun and emotional moments on the shoot of this film
Three is company I
was being directed by my father and it was the worst experience of my life,” laughs actor Adhyayan Suman describing the experience of working with his actor-father Shekhar Suman, in latter’s directorial debut, Heartless. “No, I am kidding. People might think I had the luxury of all kinds because it was my father’s film, but I had to work extra hard,” says
Adhyayan, on a recent visit to HT City office, who was accompanied by Shekhar and film’s female lead, Ariana Ayam. Interestingly, Shekhar has donned many hats for this film. He is the director, producer, storywriter, and even one of the actors in it. “It was fun shooting for the film. There was the added pressure of being the producer, director and actor – all at the same
time. I’d direct myself, jump out, direct others, and while I was directing others, the production controllers would come to me and say , ‘Biryani wale ke paise dene hain’. So it was difficult, very difficult,” he laughs. Another role that Shekhar played was that of a Hindi trainer for Ariana, an Afghani who was living in New York. “I learnt Hindi by watching Hindi films. Sir,
(Shekhar Suman) helped me with Hindi diction,” says Ariana, adding that she was also scolded by the director on the very first day for not taking his instructions right. But overall, it was fun, she insists. While talking about the film, both the Sumans got emotional, as the story is inspired by Shekhar’s older son, who died to a fatal heart disease years ago. ome snowfall or other obstacles, Tiger Shroff (left) and Kriti Sanon will endure all for their debut film, Heropanti. The two recently got injured while shooting for the Sajid Nadiadwala film, but they were brave enough to quickly get back to work, says director Sabbir Khan.
Khan was filming a romantic scene for the film in Kashmir, where Tiger and Kriti were made to sit on a 10-feet high swing. While shooting the scene, they slipped and fell off the swing on the ice-covered ground, injuring themselves. The actors suffered minor injuries, but were back to shooting the scene
again, without any delay. “The temperature was minus nine that day and both of them fell straight on the ice below, making the pain unbearable,” says Khan, who was scared that he might have to wrap up the shoot for the day because of the incident. Heropanti is set to release on May 16.
