We finally felt the summery breeze of style with collections high on pop hues and breezy fits

astel colour palette infused with feminine cuts and silhouettes took a glamorous route on day four of the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 presented by the Fashion Design Council of India, held at the NSIC grounds in Okhla. From Hemant and Nandita’s Victorianinspired collection to
designer Tanieya Khanuja’s cut-out dresses and Pallavi Mohan’s sheer play — the inspiration was ample for the next season. In a first, the fashion week also went the virtual way with Péro by Aneeth Arora’s creations that were live cast at the venue. The showcase was also Instagrammed live by FDCI’s handle. Masaba’s collection took inspiration from the 80s and 90s of New York. From easy-fit separates to breezy dresses, the creations were perfect for the woman who loves to travel. TREND TAKEAWAY: Bardot style pop-hued uppers are trending for the summer.
The models walked down the runway in a variety of pastel shades. Woven surfaces were created by silk and metallic strips, with leather daisy floral detailing. TREND TAKEAWAY: Exaggerated sleeves should be your go-to picks.

FIRST EVER VIRTUAL SHOW
“I
t was all Aneeth’s idea,” said Sunil Sethi, president Fashion Design Council of India, when we asked him about the virtual show. Aneeth Arora of Pero presented the show which went live at 8pm at the venue along with social media
platforms like Facebook and YouTube. “We have clients from across the world, so we wanted to do something exciting that would cater to them,” said Jasmeet Singh Arora of the brand, who is also Aneeth’s brother. “It took us 5 days to make the video. We were working out of Aneeth’s studio and it was fun, exciting and tedious at the same time,” said Nil who produced the video.
