metropolitandiary Dear Diary, As Delhi is hosting the 14th Theatre Utsav, I feel that theatre needs to be brought closer to the appreciative audience, away from the localised environs of Mandi House. If cinema houses are coming up all across the metropolis, and the meaningless television serials that are more or less plagiarised from Hindi cinema can enter each and every room, then each colony in Delhi must have an auditorium for meaningful theatre. For many theatre enthusiasts who don’t have the luxury of watching cinema due to the nonavailability of tickets and the high cost of multiplexes, theatre is a wholesome alternative. Ashish Rai Dear Diary, I recently visited EDM mall with

my friends. As I, and some of my friends belong to South Delhi, we never visited any mall in East Delhi. We were all amazed to see the Scary House inside this mall. We all took tickets and went inside the house. It was too dark inside, and some music belonging to the horror genre was being played in the background, as well as a number of scary sounds. When we began to move forward, a few of my friends began to scream after seeing the fake skeletons and hearing the scary noises. We all were holding each other’s hands. After five minutes, when we get out from that area, we were quite relieved, though one of my friends was still scared. But we all really enjoyed there. After that, we went through the rest of the mall. I will never forgot this enjoyable experience with my friends. Rakesh Samal
