To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen and registered with Selective Service (if applicable) to receive services under the adult program. Priority is given to those on public assistance, with low income or those who need basic skills. Training may be available to eligible employed as well as unemployed adults. Visit your local Michigan Works! agency online to learn how to access funds for training.

Private Loans Financial institutions such as banks, credit unions and others may offer private loans to pay for training. If you are considering a private loan to pay for your training, you are encouraged to thoroughly research prospective lenders and their terms prior to applying for a private loan. Ask yourself the following questions prior to applying for a private loan: • How much do I really need to borrow to finance my training? • Do I need a co-signer for my loan? • What is the interest rate? Is it a fixed or variable rate? • What fees will I be expected to pay? • What are the repayment terms?

Resources for Military-Affiliated Students Are you on active duty, a veteran, or the spouse or dependent of someone in the U.S. military, Coast Guard or Reserves? If so, take advantage of the following military educational benefits: Air Force COOL Air Force Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL) is a way for enlisted members to earn industry recognized certifications and licenses to enhance active duty work and to prepare them for the civilian workforce. Learn more about Air Force COOL. Army Credentialing Assistance Soldiers may receive up to $4,000 for books, supplies and materials used in approved training courses. Michigan National Guard State Tuition Assistance Program (MINGSTAP) Those who are in the Michigan National Guard may be eligible for up to $600 per credit hour or $6,000 per year in combined tuition and fees. My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) This program provides military spouses up to $4,000 in financial assistance for licenses, certifications, or associate degrees toward an occupation or career field. Policies and Information

Class Drop/Refund Policy: Drops are accepted up to the start of the first class. No refunds are given, for any reason, once the class starts. Mandatory fees will only be refunded if a class is dropped at least 72 hours prior to the start of the first class. To request a drop from a class: • If you registered online or in person, contact our offices at 734-677-5060 or ecdevelopment@wccnet.edu. • If you registered by mail, include your full name, address, class title, class number and class ID, and send your request to Division of Economic and Community Development, ML 104, Washtenaw Community College, 4800 East Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105-4800.

Cancellations: Washtenaw Community College reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class that does not meet minimum paid enrollment. Participants will be notified of cancellations via email or phone.

What is a CEU? A CEU (continuing education unit) is a national measurement unit. One CEU equals ten classroom or equivalent hours, and is used to record, transfer and recognize participation in noncredit learning experiences.
