You's: First I would like to thank God for leading me to Wayland though I hated a good portion of my time here. Huge thanks to Mommy and Daddy for having me and paying for me to come here. My sis for being a sis hehe! A huge thanks to the BROWN GIRL(Miss Huggable) without you I would have struggled so much through my senior year and you know I love our special little connection, Yeah ... Rock on!!! I'll start a new paragraph or whatever for my two bestest buddies Q and Ky'Le Yall some dope, I mean cool, yeah right y'all the SH速! Oops I cant say that y'all tight. Mom & Dad: Thanks for giving me the wonderful opportunity to leave home. I know I let you down many times and yet you still believe in me when nobody else did. You gave me great advice and without it I don't know what I would have done. You have done things for me, that no other parent would have done. Words cannot describe how greatful I am for you. I love you!! Ms. Alpaugh: This year would have been hell without you. Thanks for giving up your weekends to spend countless hours with me in the library. I would have got so far behind if it wasn't for you on my butt making sure I had everything done. There is no way I can repay you for everything you have done for me. Darren: These last 3 years have been fun, maybe even too fun as you could tell by our grades. I'll never forget the times we would stay up late and just rip people apart, and the times that we would go around beating the crap out of people. Soccer was great cause nobody could stop us. Good luck in college and just murder people in track!! Room 203 Forever! Shawn: We might not be the best golfers, but we have the most fun. Without you I would not have got the 52 degree wedge. I can't believe we played NBA literally for 3 days straight, and played golf all around the academic building!! Kill it in college and don't forget the 29 we shot. After fourteen years you'd think I'd be sick of this place .. . Mom - Thanks for always helping me out when I needed it. Dad - Thanks for making me work harder than I wanted to. Mom-Do you know that you are the one you've been waiting for?- Ever wonder, Kobi Yamada. You've been my best friend and my inspiration. Through all of the battles you've been loyal and never betrayed me and this taught me a valuable lesson about trust. I will always cherish getting up in the early summer mourn to chat over a freshly brewed cup of coffee. Never forget how wonderful you are, or neglect to give yourself a much deserved pat on the back. I am lucky to have such a foundation on which to stand. I love that you appreciate my sense of humor, without that I might have forever been a sour-faced child. Thanks for provoking me to gut-wrenching laughter! What can I say, these four years flew by, and I can honestly say that they have been the most fun four years of my life, thanks to many people. To all the people I don't mention in this it's either because I forgot you, or because I dislike you, take your pick which category you fit into. Mom-Thank you, I wouldn't be where I am without you, you've always been there for me, you gave me my love of animals, and the respect for all life in general, I guess I really am a mama's boy. Dad- you've tried your hardest to get me everything I want and need, thanks, I know you've always been there. Will- you aren't that bad, well most of the time. Beth & Kim- you tow have been there when I needed you, I wish we would have lived together longer so I could know you better, but still, I love you guys anyway. Ali- You've made my life great since you've been with me, thank you for everything, you know I could love you more every day. Mom -We have been through a lot these last few years but we made it and now we are stronger. I truly appreciate the opportunity you gave me by allowing me to attend Wayland . Over these last few years we have had our disagreements and fights but after all that we are still here standing tall together. Friends in the Beaver Dam community had informed me that Linda Fischer at the Beaver Dam Senior High was an excellent English Teacher. When we at Wayland had a sudden and unexpected resignation in the first quarter and when I heard that Linda Fischer had taken some time off from her position, I called her hoping to persuade her to join Wayland. What a gem we acquired! She adjusted quickly to the the demands of the private school. In the classroom she was demanding and thorough. Her wit and her "class: made her popular with the students. When she moved into the administration, I knew she had the two el;sential qualities which a Dean of Students must possess--she was an excellent listener, and she was fair in the decisions she had to make.

I have had the good fortune of working with several Deans of Students in the last 26 years at Wayland. All of the have taught me a lot. Mrs. Fischer is an ideal Dean of Students in that she is organized, not easily flustered, fair, funny, and student-centered. She is an example of the best of independent school educators. The public schools' loss has been our gain.

Way land Academy has been a great experience for the Fischer farnil y. Linda and I had worked for the Beaver Dam School District for 19 years before she became a member of the English Department in 1987. We really didn ' t know what to expect at that time, but I can say that we have met many wonderful faculty and students in the Wayland Community. Leaving the classroom to become the Dean of Students was a difficult decision for Mrs. Fischer, as she comes from a family where three of her sisters were also English teachers. It is through this position, however, that I think the Wayland community has learned some of the things that I have come to know about her during our 33 years of marriage. She has always exhibited a certain strength and dependability that is best illustrated by the time she broke her leg during spring break in 1992. She was in a full leg cast for four months, followed by a great lower leg cast for another seven months, and she never missed a day of school because of the injury. She has the ability to get things done in a very organized and timely manner, which is very critical in her position as Dean of Students. The quality that I appreciate most in her, however, is he ability to stay calm in trying situations and having the knack of knowing when and what to say to me a lift when I need it. Congratulations Linda on a well-deserved honor.

Mrs. Fischer is a professional. She reflects our core values with her caring approach to the lives of all students, with her respect for others and for the Wayland culture, and with her integrity in implementing the rules of conduct. I have seen her in action at the hospital ER late in the evening and have listened to her replays of difficult yet helpful conversations with parents. Mrs. Fischer's common sense style is endearing and her teaching ability admirable. It is a pleasure to add my thoughts to this most appropriate tribute.

Well .. .it wasn't exactly what I expected. So much time and effort was put into the class. Very, very stressful. But I had a lot of fun, thanks to Chris, Jeremy, and Soto's juicy gossip. I don't know how we pulled this off with so many procrastinators, but we did! Thanks to Mr. Brown for putting up with us, and the yearbook staff for making this class exciting.

Piece of cake! With the odd exception here and there, we cruised this year. Such effortless assembly of a yearbook can only happen with a dedicated crew. My congratulations to this year' s staff on a job well done; your enthusiasm and commitment to this project made for a worry-free, (not to mention handsome), installation of the Pillars. You'd be surprised how much work Yearbook class, but yet it is so much fun. Constantly working on pages, taking pictures, hunting down seniors and faculty for their additions, and worrying about the upcoming deadlines takes a toll on you. However, working with such a great group as my peers to create somthing that we can cherish forever is something special. Knowing that the final product is something I helped create and can be proud of, makes it all worth it. Thanks to everyone who helped and especially to my fellow staff members.
