I'm su re don't need testimony as to what great educators Craig and Judy Hill are. You've seen them in action for the last 8(or 9?) years . I have known Judy and Craig fo r almost 20 years . We've gone from college roommates to teaching colleagues to the clostest friends . When I need advice on how to be a good pa rent or a loving spouse, I won't turn to any self help book. I wi ll draw my wisdom from the memories I have of watching Craig and Judy interact with each othe r and with other ch ildren, Tyler and Stephanie. I have told friends fo r a long time they are my role models. They treat each other with such love, dignity and respect. Tyler and Stephanie have embod ied everything that is good about Craig and Judy. They are sweet , kind , loving and have been that way through every stage of their lives. I am blessed to call the Hill Fami ly my friends .

Judy and Craig Hill are the embod iment of what it means to fo llow you passion . In their case, that means being with teenage boys and girls, helping them develop into young men and women , and preparing them for a successful college experience and a rapidly changing world . That's right, they are the person ification of our mission at Wayland Academy. Being teachers , coaches , dorm parents as we ll as parents to Tyler and Stephanie, Judy and Craig represent al l that is good about the boarding school experience.

ROBERTESTEN '64 All th rough sixth grade- through highschool and at Lake Forest college , Judy played basketball, volleyball and basebal l and excelled at all three. Seems like most of her years we re spent on one field or another. She also had great grades- She was a model student- She also coached alot.

Mr. and Mrs. Hill and their two children , Tyler and Stephanie, came to Wayland in July of 1996. Mr. Hill had accepted a position as athletic director and Mrs. Hill was a busy mother of two small children . In August of 1998, Mrs. Hill accepted the position in the Coordinated Tutorial Program and became the Head Resident of Glen Dye Dormitory. Over the years it has been my honor and pleasure to work with both of them. They are both outstanding educators . Whether they are working in the dorm , the classroom , or the athletic field , their ability to work successfully with the students is unparalleled. With their calm demeanors and quiet ways, they go about affecting the lives of countless students. For the 4 years, I have worked closely with Mrs. Hill in Glen Dye Dorm. In fact , when I became Head Residents of Glen Dye , I relied heavily on the guidance and wisdom of Mrs. Hill in the running of the dorm. She had in place a set of precedures and an organization that worked extremely well and we still follow those guidelines. I consider myself very lucky to be able to live and work alongside Judy and Craig Hill. Judy's keen wit and sense of humor have brightened may a day for me and others. The more I have worked with them the more I admire their commitment to Wayland Academy and to the students.

LINDAFISHERH'92 â&#x20AC;˘Âˇ IE nv I have worked with Mr. and Mrs. Hill for almost 10 years. Mr. Hill is an inspirational coach and an awesome Athletic Director. He Has been very creative at finding athletic responsibilites for those of us who are not as talented as the dedicated coaches at Wayland. I have watched Mrs. Hill tutor students for many years. She is a good listener and makes sure that her students know who is ultimately responsible forgetting the work done. In addition to being a co-worker she is a good friend . It has been a relief to have another female in the Science Building and her sense of humor has lightened many days. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Hill for all they have done for Wayland Academy. It has been an honor and pleasure to work with both of them .

KARENBLEIFUSS'73 When Craig graduatd high school , (twenty years ago), if someone would have asked what we wished for him by the year 2005, we would have said for him to be happily married with a big family and a successful career. Luckily, with Judy by his side our wishes have come true , but there have been a few modifications. The big family we were imagining included five or six grand kids ; the big family Craig and Judy embrace today include Tyler and Stephanie, as well as students and faculty of Wayland . The career we pictured for him was a biologist in cooperate America. The career Craig enjoys now began with his love of sports and his working with the Lake Forest Academy footbal academy during his junior and senior year in college . No longer able to play football he still wanted to be involved, so he did whatever he could to help out, and here is where his love of coaching began. Thank You for bringing our family into your family. Congratulations Wayland Academy on 150 years of academic excellence and we wish you many more years of success.

All of My Friends, I am putting all you into one unit because I would feel really, really bad ifl left any of you out. Since all of you know who you are anyway, I think that this will not be a problem. What can I say to those who have gotten me through four years of this place that I will miss so much. Wayland has had a significant impact on my life, and has molded me into the individual I am today. Without you I am sure that I would be much worse off. I hope that we all stay as close as we are now, and though we may be apart, we can always share a home at Wayland Academy. Although I am exstatic that we are finally free from high school homework, I am infinitely more sad that I will never see some of you again. All that I can say in response to this is that I hope you will all find happiness and remember the good times and overlook the bad.

Mom & Dad-Oh well, I suppose I have to say something here. First of all thanks for sending me to Wayland, I know it wasn't always easy to pay or let me out on my own. Also I want to thank you for trusting my judgment in letting me decided for myself that I wanted to come here. Mary-You always were the pesky little sister, but I still love you and think you should come to Wayland. You may be surprised at how much you learn. Spike- I just want to let you know that you ' re still my best friend and always will be. I'll never abandon you, no matter where I go to school. Yearbook was fun. It was hard, no doubt about it, but we always seemed to get it together and done with at the last minute. That's what I call teamwork. Keep it real.
