NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION New student Orientation was September 5 and 6. Tuesday, the students saw a slide show, played theater games, ate an outdoor picnic, and went to a square dance. On Wednesday, the morning was filled with such interesting games as the Trust Fall, the Amazon, and the Wall. Then everyone rode to Waupun for a barbeque lunch and an afternoon of frisbee and swimming. Wednesday night there was a school dance and Thursday classes started.

FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS 72
On Sunday, December, students presented the traditional Wayland Festival of Lessons and Carols in the Memorial Chapel. The program is widely accepted as the opening of the Christmas Season in Beaver Dam and draws many people from the surrounding area as well as a large number of parents. The program includes instrumental and vocal soloes and ensembles as well as the Wayland choir and the Wayland Singers. Also included is the singing of traditional carols by the assembled audience.

The Short Term project which had the biggest impact on the student body was the remodeling of the student union. Three students, Michelle Baylon, Jeff Cobb, and Joe Kraemer, worked full -time and six others worked part-time. They were Scott Robinson, Pete Vance, Alicia Shankland, Todd Keil, Hugh Walton, and Mark Baylon.
