Welcome July!

The purpose of this newsletter is to keep faculty and staff informed of upcoming campus events and cross-campus news The Administrative Staff Development Committee (ASDC) hopes that you and your family are having a wonderful summer, and we wish you a very safe 4th of July holiday!

It’s time again for our annual cybersecurity training. Please complete the canvas training by July 12th at 4:00 PM.

Homecoming 2024 is set for October 18-19 We expect a large alumni turnout and are planning some special activities to celebrate our milestone 175th anniversary Please let us know if you are able to join the Alumni Office throughout the weekend and help us host our guests on campus

Financial Aid

TUITION REMISSION

If you, your spouse or dependent are planning to take classes in the summer, fall and/or spring semesters, don’t forget to complete the tuition remission application on the University’s N:Drive in the Informational Documents Folder. If there are any questions or problems, don’t hesitate to contact the Financial Aid Office at 724-852-3227 for finaid@waynesburg.edu.

Athletics

Kayla Green has been hired as Student-Athlete Success Coordinator through the NCAA Internship Program Her main responsibility will be to assist in the mentoring of studentathletes and working with them on things such as time management, study skills and ensuring their retention and degree completion. Kayla will be a liaison between the Athletic Department and Pathways Center to provide more academic support and mentoring to our student-athletes.

Volunteers Needed!

RAIN DAY VOLUNTEER SIGN UP

The 175th Anniversary Planning Committee seeks willing volunteers to work at the university's "booth" at Rain Day in the parks on Monday, July 29, 2024

The booth will be informational in nature to draw attention to WU and our big anniversary year Prizes might be given to be picked up at The Nest as a way to encourage shoppers to visit the store More information will be provided to workers as we near the event date

Are you wiling to help? We need to cover shifts from 10 am to 9 pm/after fireworks end We would love to have two people at all times if possible (Committee members should also confirm their availability by submitting this form)
