All new students, even those who arrive on campus early, are required to attend New Student Orientation activities August 22-25.
Seeds for Success
Seeds for Success
GROW with us! Waynesburg University will offer two on-campus Seeds for Success Programs this summer that will provide students and parents with both academic and social resources. This program is filled with many relational opportunities to interact with other incoming students, alumni, current students, faculty and staff members. In addition, students will have the opportunity to explore their academic major, learn about life outside of the classroom, have your student ID picture taken, submit forms, tour campus and your residence hall
Register for one of our Seeds for Success dates: June 28, July 19 and July 22. The program runs from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If you are unable to attend any of the Seeds for Success sessions, please sign up for one of the Fiat Lux sessions being offered this summer using this link
Fiat Lux is required for all first-time Freshmen students (and transfers with fewer than 12 credits) and is typically taken in a student’s first semester at WU. This summer, the course will be offered free of charge and is offered in a variety of formats (online, in-person, and hybrid). Course offerings include some of our most popular sections from the past year
If interested, students attending Seeds for Success are also invited to take advantage of this early opportunity.
Shuttle Transportation for Arriving Students
Students who plan to travel to and from campus via plane or bus can utilize the Grey Line, which provides transportation from the Pittsburgh International Airport and the Greyhound Bus Station (1 block from the train station) in Pittsburgh 365 days per year.
As an added convenience, WU supplements the Grey Line schedule with several student-operated shuttles during peak days, based on our academic schedule. Reservations for a WU shuttle must be made 5 business days in advance to allow for the scheduling of student drivers. Campus shuttles only run when reservations are made. Please click here to view the shuttle schedule and to make reservations.
Parking On Campus
Parking on campus is overseen by the WU Department of Public Safety. Freshman resident students are not permitted to have a vehicle on campus unless there are extenuating circumstances and with prior approval. If you are a freshman resident student and have a special need for having a car on campus, please complete a Freshman Parking Permit Request form. Once completed, the form will be forwarded to Student Development for consideration. If you have any additional questions regarding parking, please feel free to contact the Department of Public Safety at (724) 852-3303. Their office is located in the Stover Campus Center.
