Waynesburg University Hurricane Helene Relief Drive

Waynesburg University is partnering with Operation North State located in North Carolina to provide aid to 100,000+ victims of the record-breaking damages from Hurricane Helene The donation drive will run until October 23.

If you would like to make a monetary donation you may fill out a check to Waynesburg University and put Hurricane Relief in the memo or write the check directly to Operation North State and we will hand deliver the check. The money collected goes straight to Operation North State that provides hot meals for those being impacted by the tragedy You can also donate online at www.operationnorthstate.com.

There will be drop off locations at First Baptist Church in Waynesburg, Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene and various locations around campus: Miller Hall, Stover, Robert’s Chapel (October 22), Stewart Hall, Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse, and Buhl Hall. There will also be a donation drive set up for the Homecoming football game on October 19 Those who donate ten items or more, will receive free entry to the game. We plan to deliver the donations to North Carolina the following weekend.

2025-2026 FAFSA

Believe it or not, it is not too early to be planning for the next academic year! Per the USDE, the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be ready and available to students and families on December 1st this year Go to wwwstudentaidgov to complete yours! Stay informed about changes by opting into SMS message alerts, and take steps now to help you prepare to submit your form. Remember, your child needs to complete a FAFSA form every year they are enrolled in school to receive federal student aid

Pathways Center

IWestPACS Collegiate Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 9 in Monroeville WestPACS in the largest collegiate career fair in the region. As a member school, Waynesburg University students are able to attend this event for free each semester. The annual Criminal Justice & Social Sciences Job and Internship Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 23. Students will have the opportunity to engage with approximately 45 employers at this event.

As midterm grades are posted, keep in mind that free Peer Tutoring and Writing Center appointments are available for students

2025 Housing Accommodations

The priority deadline for submitting requests for *new* Spring 2025 housing accommodation requests for health, mental health, or disability-related needs is Friday, November 15, at 5 p.m. (students may request accommodations at any point, but due to limited space on campus, the University cannot guarantee provision of accommodations requested after this date). Any students who intend to request *new* housing accommodations for the Spring semester should refer to the University’s Housing Accommodation Policy and/or Assistance Animal Policy It may also be helpful to initiate consultation with healthcare providers during the fall break Please direct any questions about housing accommodations to dso@waynesburg.edu.
