It is difficult to believe that the end of the academic year is near and, Commencement is right around the corner! Final exams will begin the last week of April and the beginning week of May. Just a friendly reminder, all residence halls and on-campus houses will officially close for the summer break on Saturday May 4, at 12:00 pm Please begin to make travel arrangements If you or your student have any questions regarding Commencement, please visit wwwwaynesburgedu/commencement or email commencement@waynesburgedu

Kelley Hardie, Dean of StudentsSince the USDE has begun to send schools the 2024-25 FAFSA results, we understand that many students and their families will want to know the status of their FAFSA form. Applicants may check the status of their 2024–25 FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov .
To check the status, applicants should do the following:
1.
Log in using their account username and password (FSAID).
2.
Navigate to their account Dashboard.
Select "2024-25 FAFSA Form" from the "My Activity" page. 3.
The application status will be one of the following:
Draft: Your section of the FAFSA form is incomplete
In Progress: You provided your consent, approval, and signature to your section of the FAFSA form, but the FAFSA form has not been submitted yet.
In Review: You have submitted your form and your application is still processing
Processed: Your application was processed successfully. No further action is needed.
Action Required: Your application requires further action from you or your contributor(s). In some cases, you may need to contact your college or career/trade school to resolve the issue
Closed: Your FAFSA form was never submitted and can no longer be submitted because the federal FAFSA deadline passed.

All graduates must complete the RSVP form online to tell the Registrar & President’s Office whether or not they plan to attend the events. Ask your graduate to make sure they have done so. The link is found on the Commencement website.
Lunch tickets, for those interested in dining on campus for Commencement day, must be purchased in advance online Link found on the Commencement website

10 a.m. - Graduates and faculty arrive at Marsh Center in Roberts Chapel for Baccalaureate Service; Guest seating opens at remote locations (GPAC, Alumni Hall)
10:30 a.m. - Doors open for limited guest seating in Roberts Chapel
11 am - Baccalaureate Service in Roberts Chapel
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Optional lunch available in Benedum Dining Hall

12:30 p.m. - Guest seating begins for Commencement Service, Miller Hall Lawn
1 pm - Graduates report to the auxiliary gym for commencement procession line-up
2 p.m. - Commencement Service, Miller Hall Lawn
The final career fair of the semester took place on Wednesday, March 27. Students were able to connect with more than 20 employers at this event.
A LinkedIn Workshop will take place on Monday, April 15 at noon in the library.
The final job application table, a designated space for students to apply for jobs and internships if they need it, will take place on Wednesday, April 24 at 4 p.m. (This table is offered every Wednesday until then.)
The last week for tutoring sessions and career closet appointments is the week of April 22. Students who need support with final exams or who need to access professional clothing for summer experiences should make appointments as soon as possible.
The Pathways Center staff will be available to support students throughout the summer. Email us at pathways@waynesburg.edu if anything comes up.
This is a gentle reminder that all unused flex dollars expire at the end of this term. Students should utilize all of their flex dollars because any unused flex dollars at the end of the spring term will be forfeited There are no refunds for unused flex dollars Students can track their flex dollar accounts by checking their receipts after every purchase/transaction

Each year, graduating seniors and their families make a gift to the University through The Senior Class Gift program This year’s Senior Class Gift Committee has chosen to raise funds to replace the current clear glass window atop the front entrance of historic Miller Hall with a custom stained-glass window The stained-glass window will be designed by Mandy Sirofchuk of Main Exhibit Gallery and Art Center in Ligonier, PA The design will pay homage to both the Class of 2024 and the University’s 175th anniversary year, which we are currently celebrating

WU Chapel is wrapping up the semester with our “Testimony Tuesday” series. Chapel meets on Tuesday mornings at 11 AM in Roberts Chapel. All are welcome to attend for a time of worship, prayer, scripture lesson and fellowship.
Tuesday, April 2nd – “Testimony Tuesday” with senior, Ethan Lown, and Graduate Assistant Football Coach, Zack Windsor.
Tuesday, April 9th – “Testimony Tuesday” with junior, Jemuel Cypress, and Director of the E-Hive, Cassy Dorsch
Tuesday, April 16th – “Testimony Tuesday” with senior, Alicia Zottola, and Instructor of Psychology, Chaley Knight
Tuesday, April 23rd – “God’s Faithfulness” with Chaplain, Josh Sumpter and Awards Ceremony led by Academic Affairs
Tuesday, April 30th – No Chapel – Finals Week – Keep your students in prayer as they finish strong!
Campus Bible studies and faith-based organizations will be wrapping up in the month of April. Students are still welcome to get plugged in during the final weeks: Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. in Stover 300’s) and Upper Room (Sundays at 8 p.m. in Roberts Chapel.)
Celebration: The Center for Campus Ministry will be welcoming 20 new student leaders to serve as Campus Ministry Assistants (CMA’s) for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a great reminder that there are plenty of leadership opportunities available for students desiring to grow in their faith while impacting the campus community. On April 4, 2024, the Business Department held its Department Awards Ceremony to recognize its top students. Departmental Honors are awarded to the graduating senior with the highest GPA in each of the Business Majors. This year the awards went to:

Seth Eaton - Sports Management
Seth Robertson - Accounting
Haley Johnson - Forensic Accounting
Megan Wilson - Marketing
Bryson Wilt - Business Management
Also, 15 students who ranked in the top 20 percent of the junior and senior classes were inducted int Sigma Beta Delta the Business Honorary
Audrey Abatti, Rachel Baily, Ryheem Dove, Erin Eckard, Kristie Faber, Jamie Frisbie, Gage Fuller, Emma Hyatt, Connor Jacobs, Seth Massotti, Dalton Mount, Amanda Rine, Kyle Stoneking, Claton Webb, and Logan White.
Finally, special congratulations were given to Seth Robertson for passing the Certified Management Account exam and earning that certification
