general information/policies Accepted Forms of Payment
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Williamson County Parks and Recreation facilities accept the following forms of payment with the noted exceptions.
Credits, transfers or refunds will be processed upon request for recreation classes, programs, leagues and other activities in accordance with the following policy:
n Cash
1. Should you need to cancel your participation in a class/ league/program or activity, you must notify the department no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the program. No credits, transfers or refunds will be processed after the date a class/league/program or activity is scheduled to begin. This includes uniform fees for any leagues.
n Checks are not accepted at outdoor pools or the Williamson County Performing Arts Center. Checks for general admission under $12.00 are not accepted. There is a $30.00 service charge for any returned check. n Credit/Debit Cards are only accepted for general admission and walk-in fees at the Fairview Recreation Complex, Franklin Recreation Complex, Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood, the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville and the Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park and ticket sales at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center. Credit/Debit cards are not accepted at the HillsboroLeiper’s Fork Community Center or any of the outdoor pools. Mastercard and Visa only at Recreation Centers. The Performing Arts Center accepts all Credit/Debit cards. A 2.2% processing fee is collected for all credit/debit card transactions at any location.

Whether you choose to cancel your registration in advance of 24 hours, or if WCPR cancels the class/ program/league or activity you are registered in, you will be given the option of receiving a credit to your account, transferring your payment to another registration of the same value (or less), or receiving a refund by check for the amount of the class/program/league or activity fee. Due to State Auditing/Fund regulations, any online processing fees cannot be credited or refunded. n CREDITS: After speaking with a WCPR staff person regarding the cancellation of your registration, they can credit your online account the amount of the activity fee. Credits are immediately effective once in your account and can be used towards any future WCPR activity registration/payment. Processing fees will apply.
n Traveler’s Checks (Accepted with photo ID) n Money Orders
n TRANSFERS: A WCPR staff person will work with you to transfer your cancelled registration towards a future class/program/league or activity of the same value (or less). If you choose a class/program/league or activity with a higher fee, additional registration and processing fees will apply. n REFUNDS: The amount of the class/program/league or activity fee will be issued back to you in the form of a check. Processing fees will not be refunded. Please allow two weeks to receive refunds processed by check. n Special Consideration Refunds must be submitted in writing to management staff. sitting service n For children ages 6 weeks old to 9 years old. n Free to parents/legal guardians only who are utilizing the
Recreation Center.
n This program is a “casual care” service only and is NOT a state
licensed day care. We offer this program as a limited time sitting service for our patrons using the facility.

Policies and Procedures n Fill out the appropriate paperwork on each child upon their first visit (to be updated annually). n Accompany their child(ren) and personally sign his or her child/ ren in and out each visit - no exceptions. n The parent that signs the child/ren in must also be the same parent to sign the child(ren) out. This program is a Sitting Service ONLY and is not designed as a Day Care Center or Preschool, but is simply a limited time sitting service. n Parents/legal guardians are also required to list the activity area they will be using in the event that it is necessary to reach them. n Parents/legal guardians MUST remain on the Center premises while their child is in the sitting room. n Maximum time for children to be in the sitting room is 1.5 hours.
n All items left in our possession must be labeled with your child’s name. This helps to ensure that items are given to the appropriate children and that there is no confusion with items that look alike. n The Recreation Center DOES NOT provide diapers, bottles, snacks or drinks. You may however bring these items for your child if you so choose. All baby bottles brought into the sitting room must be capped and labeled. No glass containers or bottles permitted. n If your child becomes ill, extremely unhappy or unmanageable, you will be paged to the sitting room immediately. If we have tried to console your child and he/she continues to cry for 10 minutes non-stop, you will be asked to come and console your child or remove him/her from the room.
n Children need to be picked up no later than 5 minutes after your class has ended or immediately following your workout and before the sitting service closes. n Absolutely no sick children will be allowed in the sitting room. We strive to keep the Recreation Center a healthy and happy place. Please respect other children who are healthy by keeping your sick child at home. n The Sitting Service Personnel will not administer any type of medication to a child under any circumstances. 3
SITTING SERVICE HOURS Monday - Saturday 8:00am to 11:30am Mon., Tues., Thurs. 4:00pm to 8:00pm n Should your child’s behavior become abusive either verbally or physically (biting, hitting, kicking, pinching, etc.) towards another child or caregiver, a report will be filled out regarding the situation and reviewed by a Supervisor. n No personal toys or videos are allowed in the sitting service. The Recreation Center cannot be responsible for any lost or stolen items. n If these policies and procedures are not abided by, your sitting service privileges may be revoked.
game room/parties GAME ROOM
n Game Rooms are considered a “Facility Amenity� and not childcare, therefore facility admission fees apply to all patrons utilizing them.
n Games Rooms are staffed by WCPR employees when open to the public. n Ages 5-6 must be with a parent and parent interacting with child/children. n Youth that are 7 years old must be signed in by their parent(s). They must also stay in the game room until the parent returns.
n Youth between the ages of 8-12 must sign in when they enter the room. n All video games are provided and screened by WCPR staff to ensure a family atmosphere.
n Proper use and care of gaming equipment is required at all times. n Profanity and abusive language are prohibited at all times. n Violators will be asked to leave the game room(s) and privileges may be revoked if policies and procedures are not followed.

For custom arts and crafts birthday parties, parents work with our staff to select a craft that matches the party theme. Guests meet in a private room at the Fairview Recreation Complex where the projects and the instructor will be waiting. Preschool Party (ages 3-5): 1.5 hour party = 1 hour art time, remaining time for presents & refreshments; $150 for up to 10 children; Each child will complete: one small art activity and one painting on 11x14 canvas panel; Projects are customizable to party theme. School age party (ages 6-18): 2 hour party = 1.5 hours for art time, remaining time for presents & refreshments; $200 for up to 12 children; Each child will complete: one small art activity and one painting on 11x14 stretched canvas; Projects are customizable to party theme. Birthday pool parties are available by reservation during the summer season at the Fairview Recreation Complex. Pool parties are for up to 25 kids, and a flat fee of $150 covers use of the pool (during public hours) and a private party room. Parents must bring the party goodies, food and decorations. Brienne SPLITTGERBER
Brienne has been involved in fitness and athletics most of her life. She competed in collegiate soccer during four years of college and maintains her competitive edge through her fitness classes. She continues to challenge herself with various running competitions and triathlons throughout the year. Brienne started her personal training career after obtaining multiple certifications as a law enforcement officer, including the Cooper Institute’s personal trainer certification for law enforcement. In 2016, Brienne began designing unique fitness regimens for individual clients to assist them in reaching their health goals. Brienne moved to Fairview in 2018 and looks forward to helping groups and individuals reach their fitness and health goals.

Hannah has always been interested in finding natural ways to heal and stay healthy. Her yoga practice is guided by her belief that keeping the body strong, active and mobile are paramount to good overall health. Private yoga lessons allow the instructor and student to tailor a yoga routine to the students specific interests and needs. Yoga can help support traditional care with focus on specific issues, such as insomnia, recovery from illness, anxiety and depression, chronic pain, deepening meditation practice, Hatha, Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga practices. Strength Training classes help to build muscle strength and endurance. Classes use a variety of weights and resistance equipment to help you achieve a more sculpted physique. IRON BODIES: Join us as we raise the bar in this strength training class designed for all fitness levels. We will use Iron Grip Strength equipment as the primary resistance tool to improve muscular strength and endurance. *Space is limited based on equipment. All levels welcome. CHISEL & SCULPT: This multi-level class is for anyone who wants to develop muscular strength and endurance. Tackle “basic” resistance training exercises using traditional and strategic principles. This simple, easy to follow, workout challenges every muscle using a variety of equipment. All levels welcome!
MIND AND BODY CLASSES
Mind and Body classes help you relieve stress and become more focused through meditation, breathing techniques, stretching and flexibility. VINYASA YOGA: An energetic form of yoga using fluid movements and breath to flow from one pose to the next. All levels welcome! RESTORATIVE YOGA: A practice that emphasizes breathing exercises and poses that promote relaxation and other mindfulness techniques. BODY FUSION: Inspired from Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga. Participants focus on controlled breath, balance, strength, and core with a full series of exercises and stretches set to music. Multiple disciplines are fused together to create a new workout for the body and mind. GENTLE YOGA: Gentle yoga is a hidden gem of a yoga style. It moves at a slow and steady pace. Asanas are primarily floor-based, reclined or seated with few, if any, standing poses. This class is appropriate for any level!
CYCLE
Cycle is a fun, exhilarating cardio workout. Enjoy the many benefits of indoor cycling while having a blast in a lively atmosphere set to great, motivating music. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and no experience is necessary. CYCLE BOOTCAMP: More “bootcamp” than “cycle”, this class consists of a variety of bootcamp-style stations with the bike making up one of many stations. It fast-paced and conducted in circuit/interval style with periods of work and rest. Participants can expect to use a variety of equipment including the battle rope, agility ladders, boxes, medicine balls, TRX bands, kettlebells and more. CYCLE & ROW: The combination of cycle and rowing give you a complete full body workout. Rowing requires the use of all major muscle groups- legs, glutes, core back and arms. Enjoy the many benefits of indoor cycling and rowing while having a blast in a lively atmosphere set to great motivating music. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and no experience is needed.

SILVER SNEAKERS®
Silver Sneakers ® is a great class to work on improving strength, flexibility, posture and balance. CLASSIC: Exercise at your own pace with resistance tools including bands, balls and weights. A chair is available for support. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants. CIRCUIT: The SilverSneakers ® Circuit workout offers standing, lowimpact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ® ball. A chair is available for support. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants.

CARDIO CIRCUIT: This athletic based cardio class is sure to challenge you with non-stop speed. Class set up circuit style. You will be moving through different circuits around the room or in your own space. RIPPED: This total body, high intensity style program utilizes free weights, resistance and body weight to masterfully combine the com-ponents of RIPPED. Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics and Endurance for all levels, challenge your levels of fitness and endurance! TABATA/HIIT (HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING): HIIT class is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This intervalbased class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body and improve your endurance. Modifications for all fitness levels are provided.

Tae Kwon Do In this class, students will learn the martial art of Tae Kwon-Do. Students that learn the art of Tae Kwon-Do also gain the benefit of learning the techniques and ways of self-defense, which can generate higher self-esteem and confidence. Tai Chi Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that is fun and suitable for all ages and compatibilities. Unlike most conventional exercise, the muscles and joints are relaxed instead of strained. Rather than jarring the body and straining muscles, Tai Chi promotes: blood flow with gentle, gliding motions, reduces joint paint, increases flexibility and range of motion, and increases strength and aerobic conditioning. senior lounge/activities The Senior Division offers a variety of programs to enhance the quality of life of adults, ages 55 and up, living in Williamson County. Activities range from fitness, heath and wellness enrichment, day trips and special events. Senior programs are offered at six WCPR recreation facilities: Fairview Recreation Complex, Franklin Recreation Complex, Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood, Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, and Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park.
Senior Open Lounge Come enjoy the spacious Senior Lounge for socialization, billiards, cards, games, puzzles, and much more. Come and go at your leisure, and free coffee is available all day.
