Sitting Service For Children Ages 6 Weeks Old to 9 Years Old

The Sitting Service Program is a “casual care” service and is NOT a state licensed day care. The service is free to parents/legal guardians only, who are utilizing the recreation facilities and amenities. Due to limited participation numbers established by state regulations, we offer this program to our patrons as a limited time sitting service, available on a first come, first served basis. No reservations will be taken and you may not hold spots for others. This is not a guaranteed service to all patrons and facility pass holders. For complete Policies and Procedures regarding the Sitting Service, see a front desk attendant or visit our website, www.wcparksandrec.com.

Racquetball Court Reservations • All court reservations can be made by phone or in person. • Reservations can be made two days in advance. For example, to make a reservation for a Wednesday, you may call as early as Monday morning, at 5:00am. • Cost for a court reservation is $4.00 per hour. • Regular facility admission fees still apply (annual pass/visit pass/daily admission). • Persons wishing to reserve a racquetball court will be allowed to reserve either court at any time within the 48 hour window, if a court is available.

ISC– Indoor Court Reservations • Indoor Tennis Court reservations may be made by phone or in person as early as three days in advance. • The cost for a tennis court reservation is $18 per hour. • The Indoor Sports Complex has 2 ball machines to rent at $8 per hour + the court reservation fee. • Annual Pass Holders can walk onto a court (if available) at no charge for 1 hour; however they will pay $10 for 1 hour of a ball machine.

CASH CHECKS—Checks under $12 cannot be accepted for general admission. Checks are NOT accepted at the outdoor pools. There is a $30 service charge for all returned check!

CREDIT CARDS—Only accepted general admission and walk-in fees at the Fairview, Franklin, ISC, Longview & Nolensville Recreation Facilities. Credit cards are NOT accepted at Hillsboro-Leiper’s Fork Community Center or any of the outdoor pools.

WCPR Refund Policy Credits, Transfers or Refunds will be processed upon request for recreation classes, programs, leagues and other activities in accordance with the following policy: 1. Should you need to cancel your participation in a class/league/program or activity, you must notify the department no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the program. No credits, transfers or refunds will be processed after the date a class/league/program or activity is scheduled to begin. This includes uniform fees for any leagues. 2. Whether you choose to cancel your registration in advance of the 24 hours; or WCPR must cancel the class/program/league or activity you are registered in, you will be given the option of receiving a credit to your account, transferring your payment to another registration of the same value (or less), or to receive a refund by check for the amount of the class/program/league or activity fee. Due to State Auditing/Fund Regulations, any On-line Processing Fees cannot be credited or refunded. •

CREDITS: After speaking with a WCPR staff person regarding the cancellation of your registration, they can credit your on-line account the amount of the activity fee. Credits are immediately effective once in your account and can be used towards any future WCPR activity registration/payment. Processing fees will apply. TRANSFERS: A WCPR staff person will work with you to transfer your canceled registration towards a future class/program/league or activity of the same value (or less). If you choose a class/program/ league or activity with a higher fee, processing fees will apply. REFUNDS: The amount of the class/program/league or activity fee will be issued back to you in the form of a check. Processing fees will not be refunded. Please allow 2 weeks to receive refunds processed by check.

Special Consideration Refunds must be submitted in writing to management staff.

Photograph Policy

Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (“WCPR”) reserves the right to photograph classes, events, programs, and participants at any of the Parks and Recreation Facilities or properties, or any event sponsored by WCPR that is located on property not owned by Williamson County. Use of photographs may be used by WCPR for promotional purposes and may be used in publications and media communications in any format as WCPR decides. Attendance at WCPR programs and events constitutes consent to be photographed for use in print and/or electronic publicity for WCPR. To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian. If you do not want us to use a photo of you or your child, please tell the WCPR staff member coordinating the event before the program or event. Group Fitness Information & Policies • Passes are interchangeable between the Franklin Recreation Complex, the Longview Recreation Center, the Indoor Sports Complex, the Nolensville Recreation Complex and the Fairview Recreation Complex. Once a pass has been purchased, it is valid at any of these 5 facilities. • Due to liability restrictions, no one under the age of 13 may participate or be in the room while fitness classes are in session. • Anyone ages 13 – 17 must have a parent/guardian sign a liability release waiver prior to participation; available at front desk. • Patrons should wear comfortable and appropriate work-out clothing while

participating in class. • Patrons are permitted to bring water bottles, towels, etc. into the fitness rooms. • The public is NOT permitted to use either of the Group Fitness Rooms and/ or the equipment when a class is not in session and/ or an instructor is not present in the room. Doors should be kept locked by Facility Managers when classes are not in session.

Registration: NOW OPEN Williamson County Parks and Recreation will hold online registration for all Indoor and Outdoor, Spring, Summer and Fall adult tennis leagues beginning on Monday, 2/1 at 9 am for Williamson County Residents and Tuesday, 2/16 at 9 am for the general public. We offer Men’s and Women’s, Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Leagues. Space is limited and leagues do fill up fast. Spring Season will begin approximately 4/4 for indoor leagues and 4/11 for outdoor leagues. Indoor Summer Leagues will begin approximately 6/6. All Fall Leagues will begin approximately 8/8. April: Ryman Auditorium Established in 1892 as the Union Gospel Tabernacle, Ryman Auditorium is a National Historic Landmark and must see in Nashville. Most famous as the home of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 — 1974, there is far more to the story of Music City’s most recognizable icon. Join us as we view their multiple exhibits and receive a guided backstage tour of the Ryman, including the chance to walk on the stage where many legends have performed. Lunch will be Dutch treat at Lula’s Café, named in honor of Lula C. Naff, longtime manager of the Ryman. The cost of the trip ($36) includes transportation and admission to Ryman Auditorium. May: Fiddler’s Grove At Fiddlers Grove Historical Village you can step back in time as you stroll through and experience life in a typical early village where people lived in a one-room log cabin, received an education in a one-room school and worshipped in a small quaint church. Fiddlers Grove has preserved the history of the citizens of Wilson County, Tennessee by preserving buildings, artifacts, oral and written histories. We will take a walking tour of Fiddlers Village, so wear your walking shoes. A golf cart can be available for those that need special accommodations. After the tour we will go to Sunset Restaurant for lunch (Dutch treat). Sunset Restaurant is a local favorite in Lebanon and has great down home, southern food. Registration is REQUIRED. Games Galore Come out this March and play some large Group Games. You will be active and play several games that are sure to be fun! We will serve a dinner of chicken tenders, salad, chips, drinks, and dessert. This April we will spend the evening playing “Minute to Win It” games. You will be challenged and have a great time watching and cheering on your friends as you each try to tackle the tasks. We will serve a taco bar dinner with dessert and drinks. In May we will have an end of the year Field Day. This will be a fun evening of relays, and water balloon toss, laughs and friendly competition. Dress in shorts and bring extra shirt and shorts if you wish. You might just get a little wet. Bowling Meet us at Franklin Family Entertainment Center for a fun afternoon of Bowling. Due to staffing, one to one assistance is not available for this activity. Fitness Fun Come join us and get fit and have fun at the same time. We begin with stretching by using exercises and resistance bands then transition into strengthening with light hand weights and stability balls. We complete our workout with a 30 minute walk. Recreation Night Join us this March for our St Patrick’s Day Party. Enjoy a festive evening where participants will pay games and have a scavenger hunt. A Dinner of Sub Sandwiches, salad, chips, drinks and dessert will be served. Come out in April for an Italian progressive Dinner. Participants will all get to help prepare their own dinner from start to end including appetizer, entrée, salad, sides, and dessert. We will use the entire time to prepare and finish our progressive dinner with friends. Join us for a super fun night dancing at the Surf Stomp this May. Wear your beach attire, and hats and we will have an evening of beach themed fun. We will have a dinner of BBQ, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Fruit, Drinks, and Dessert. Throwback Thursday Please join us for a blast from the past each month where we will enjoy a variety of “throwback” activities! PALS program (People at Leisure with Support) - A caregiver is required to stay with those needing support. Caregivers are asked to register if planning to attend and eat. In March, we will get a taste of a classic 50’s diner with some delicious hamburgers and then we will be making root beer floats with different types of ice cream and sodas to choose from! We will also provide chips and drinks along with our meal. In April, come dressed in your best 80’s attire and we will boogey down to some classic 1980’s music. We will all vote on our favorite 80’s outfit and the top 3 winners will receive a prize! Pizza, chips, dessert and drinks will be provided for dinner. In May, we will all meet at Carmike Thoroughbred Theaters to see the 1967 classic Disney movie, The Jungle Book, revamped into a modern day movie! Please bring extra money if you wish to purchase snacks from the concession stand. Participants will be called in advance on exact meeting time. Please bring $12–$15 for movie ticket.
