Dungeons & Dragons - “The Wild Beyond The Witchlight”

Fairview Recreation Complex is proud to offer the roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. The structure to the stories brings new ways to determine the consequences of the adventurers’ actions. Players roll dice to determine whether their attacks hit or miss and whether their characters can scale a cliff, roll away from the strike of a magical lightning bolt, or pull off some other dangerous task. Anything is possible, but the dice make some things more probable than others. Instructor: Quintin Burlingame. CHAPTER 5 - The Palace of Heart’s Desire

The archfey Zybilna is known to grant wishes to mortals brave enough to visit her abode: the Palace of Heart’s Desire. Zybilna no longer grants wishes, for she is trapped in temporal stasis—frozen in time by the magic of her cauldron, which the hags of the Hourglass Coven have turned against her. Freeing Zybilna is the only way to repair the damage the hags have done to Prismeer, but doing so carries certain risks, for Zybilna has a dark side that she has hidden away for many years. New Players are welcome, and will begin with a level 2 character.

Straight to the Stars Auditions Anne of Green Gables

Straight to the Stars Youth Theatre’s summer production for 2022 will be Anne of Green Gables. Adapted from L.M. Montgomery’s beloved novel of the same name, Anne of Green Gables follows the story of the feisty orphan, Anne Shirley. Adopted from an orphanage in Nova Scotia by Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, Anne Shirley’s acclimation to life in Avonlea isn’t exactly smooth sailing. The Cuthbert siblings wanted a quiet boy to help out around their farm, but instead they receive Anne, a redheaded, freckle-faced, free spirit who turns their lives upside down with her quirky behavior. Anne navigates school, friendship, and life in Avonlea in this charming coming-of-age tale. Those auditioning should refer to website HERE for important pre-audition information and forms.
