Summer Tribute Series

Sail On: Beach Boys Tribute Sunday, June 5, 7:00pm

We get around! At over 80 shows a year, Sail On is the most booked Beach Boys Tribute in the world! Sail On plays all of the Beach Boys’ classic hits, plus some treasures from the band’s brilliant extended catalog, recreating the soundtrack to an Endless Summer completely live and in rich detail.

End of the Line: Allman Brothers Tribute Sunday, June 12, 7:00pm

End of the Line is the premiere Allman Brothers tribute band. From the authentic, raspy vocal approach of Justin Smith to the chugging drum/percussion train of Chase Bader & Ryan Mcclanahan, the band both pays homage while pushing the boundaries of the timeless & extensive catalog. Come experience the soul, the guitarmony, the jam, and the ramblin’ spirit that still lives on through each note hit.

Sweet Baby James: James Taylor Tribute Sunday, June 19, 7:00pm Sweet Baby James is the Nashville-based band who faithfully recreates the timeless music of the great James Taylor. We do our very best to Shower the People with the hits and hidden gems of one of America’s best and most influential singer-songwriters. When you go to a SBJ show, You Can Close Your Eyes and pretend you’re listening to JT himself.

Rising Stars Auditions – Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR.

The Rising Stars summer production for 2022 will be Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. Based on the popular Broadway production that and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. This “tale as old as time” has many fun supporting roles allowing students to play objects inside the castle. Those auditioning should refer to website HERE for important pre-audition information and forms. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00-7:30 pm, beginning Tuesday, June 14. There will also be two Saturday rehearsals from 12:30-3:30pm on July 9 and 16. All rehearsals will be at the Franklin Recreation Complex. The last week of rehearsals (starting July 25) will be every night and will be at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center in Franklin. There is a mandatory cast/parent meeting held for the first 45 minutes on the first night of rehearsals. In 2018, with just over 90 singers performing John Rutter’s Requiem for the Spring Concert, a YouTube video of the performance was discovered by a gentlemen with DCINY (Distinguished Concerts International, New York), who called the department to invite the chorus to participate in a performance of Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York in January of 2020. The Williamson County Community Chorus holds open auditions for adults and seniors each January and August for its Spring and Fall seasons each year and always welcomes new singers. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Enrichment Center. The chorus is under the direction of Dr. Linda Bolding, an accomplished musician with more than twenty years of experience conducting adult choirs. Since the beginning of the choir in 2017, Bolding has brought professional excellence and experience to the Williamson County Community Chorus.
