2019 Camp Will is a specialized therapeutic day camp for children, adolescents and young adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. For more information on this program, please visit www.wcparksandrec.com. Camp Will is listed under the Therapeutics tab. ELIGIBILITY Campers must be a resident of Williamson County, ages 6-23 years (campers must be 6 by May 31, 2019) NEW CAMPERS An assessment must be completed by a parent/legal guardian prior to online registration. • A $25 non-refundable fee will be due at the end of the transaction. Payment must be credit or debit card only (A small nonrefundable processing fee is collected for all transactions). Final payment will be due (payment amount will depend on the number of weeks each camper is registered for). Cash or check payment methods preferred. The weekly rate is $65.

Financial Aid is available upon request, and must be approved PRIOR to the final payment. Please e-mail traci.hamby@williamsoncounty-tn.gov for more information. “THE GREATEST SHOW” PERFORMING ARTS CAMP Students in this one-of-a-kind weeklong program will get to create their own “Greatest Show!” Taking inspiration from The Greatest Showman, as well as hit pop, rock and hip-hop musicals like Hamilton, School of Rock, and Dear Evan Hansen, students will incorporate their favorite songs right into their musical mashup. Their confidence will soar as they receive training in acting, singing, and dancing, (with an emphasis on pop and hip hop). This program is designed with our more experienced performers in mind. It is recommended that students have some stage experience with dance, singing and/or acting. “KIDS ON BROADWAY” PERFORMING ARTS CAMP Kids in this one-week program get to sing, dance, act, and create! Every child gets their own chance to shine! This camp is the perfect introduction to performance. Our action packed, fun filled week consists of theatre games (and lots of ‘em), all while preparing a mini-musical production that will showcase singing, dancing, and acting for family and friends at the end of the week. These classes are an excellent place for beginners to get their feet wet. No experience is necessary. There will be a voluntary audition on the first day to determine solos and speaking parts. Students will perform an original musical revue featuring songs from classic Broadway shows and movie musicals like Annie, Oliver, & Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music to the latest hits like Wicked, School Of Rock, Disney on Broadway, Newsies, Matilda, and more. SUMMER INTENSIVE Rising Stars Children’s Theatre Production of “Aladdin Jr.” (See flyer on page 25) Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy-Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for your young performers! AUDITIONS Saturday, May 11th Ages 5-8 yrs: 1:00pm-3:00pm Ages 9 yrs to 8th Graders: 3:00pm–5:00pm Auditions will be held at the Franklin Recreation Complex. Refund Policy for Summer Specialty Camps and Programming Credits, Transfers or Refunds will be processed upon request pertaining to Summer Specialty Camps and Programming in accordance with the following policy: 1. Should you need to cancel your child’s participation in a summer camp, you must notify the department contact no later than 1 week prior to the start of the program. No credits, transfers or refunds will be processed less than 1 week before the date a summer camp is scheduled to begin. 2. Whether you choose to cancel your registration in advance of the 1-week period; or if WCPR cancels the summer specialty camp that your child is registered in, you will be given the option of receiving a credit to your WCPR account, transferring your payment to another registration of the same value (or less), or receiving a refund by check for the amount of the class/program/league or activity fee. Due to State Auditing/Fund Regulations, any On-line Processing Fees cannot be credited or refunded. CREDITS: After speaking with a WCPR staff member regarding the cancellation of your registration, they can credit your on-line WCPR account the amount of the activity fee. Credits are immediately effective once in your WCPR account and can be used towards any future WCPR activity registration/ payment. Processing fees will apply. TRANSFERS: A WCPR staff member will work with you to transfer your canceled registration towards a future activity of the same value (or less). If you choose an activity with a higher fee, processing fees will apply and it will be your responsibility to enroll your child. REFUNDS: The amount of the summer camp fee will be issued back to you in the form of a check from Williamson County Government. Processing fees will not be refunded. Please allow 2-3 weeks to receive refunds processed by check. Special consideration refunds must be submitted in writing to management staff.
