Barre Barre (bahr) Fitness combines ballet, Pilates, and yoga to give you beautiful sculpted, lean muscles without the impact and injuries a dancer may endure. It is an intense isometric strength-training, low-impact class focusing on balance, lengthening and strengthening your core, glutes and all other major muscle groups. NO dance experience required - anyone can do it! A 60-minute barre class starts with a warm up, upper-body light-weight series, barre series, and concludes with mat work (core, push ups, planks, stretch). The barre is used for balance. Exercises include several toning sequences and resistance movements emphasizing the core, arms, seat and thighs. Each strength section of this workout is followed by targeted stretching to create long, lean muscle without bulk. Instructor: Rebecca Trauscht Reg. Code Location

Tai Chi Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that is fun and suitable for all ages and capabilities. Unlike most conventional exercise, the muscles and joins are relaxed instead of strained. Rather than jarring the body and straining muscles, Tai Chi promotes blood flow with gentle, gliding motions, reducing joint pain, increasing flexibility, range of motion, strength and aerobic conditioning. Tai Chi also improves sleep, mood, cheerfulness and relaxation. Fee is a for a two week session. For more information, please contact Chase Cribbs at (615) 799-9331 ext. 2315. Reg. Code

NEW YEAR - NEW YOU #3 The series continues with this powerful third class that focuses on what may be our greatest stumbling block to good health: refined sugar. Americans now consume over 145 pounds of sugar annually. The results include things like chronic inflammation, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, the common cold, and a hugely compromised immune system. If sugar has a grip on you, you won’t want to miss this high-impact class, where you’ll learn more about how sugar is the food that is literally killing us, and what to do about it. You’ll learn to prepare some simple whole foods that can satisfy your desire for something sweet while not impacting your blood sugar; that are high in fiber, protein and antioxidants, and that taste simply wonderful. You’ll learn: all about the many forms of sugar • the real deal about artificial sweeteners • to understand the glycemic load vs. glycemic index • natural and gentle sweeteners that are best to use • tools and techniques that help you conquer sugar cravings • a metabolic essential oil blend that supports your efforts Reg. NEW YEAR - NEW YOU #4: Wrapping up Your Personalized Healthy Eating Plan for 2018 In this final class in the series, the principles of the first three classes will be pulled together into a 7-day meal plan for gently cleansing your body with a completely ‘clean’ diet. You’ll understand what to expect in the 7 days, why it’s important to cleanse and how it will work. You’ll get to taste several of the recipes so you’ll feel completely comfortable making them at home. You’ll go home with The Plan as well as all the recipes for eating 21 incredibly healthy meals. As a bonus in this final class, you’ll receive samples of 2 essential oils that you’ll want to incorporate into your cleanse Reg. Code

Retro Inspirations Let’s historically rock this day with groovy, artistic impressions and live out the benefits of mindfulness. We will get inspired by classic rock and roll, and learn how our favorite rockers used their talents to live purposefully. Being mindful is improving our ability to enjoy the present. Often reacting to our environment and letting our thoughts stray, leads to anxiety. Practicing mindfulness helps us to gain focus, choose our focus, and to be more purposeful in where that focus leads our attention, power, and action. We will focus on the inspiration of musicians, singers, and songwriters like James Brown, Carole King, The Dixie Cups, Ringo Starr, Melanie, The Doors, The Coasters, James Taylor, etc. Mindfulness and meditation allow us a way to purposefully slow down and find calm. Our brain only transfers information when we are calm. Finding calm is a smart way to refuel, refocus, regenerate, and reclaim your power, influence, and energy. Mindfulness helps you to start choosing what happens next. Supply Fee: $5.00 payable to the instructor. Reg. Code

BE YOU!: A To-Do List Makeover A new list = a new YOU! The YOU that is inside just waiting to be seen, heard and understood. It isn’t about doing more, doing less or doing it better. It is about consciously creating your to-do list to reflect your hopes and dreams, and create a life YOU love...one to-do at a time. This class is not another to-do it is an opportunity to become the best version of YOU. It is a beautiful way to reveal, restore and return YOU to a life of awe, wonder and possibility...one to-do at a time. This class will help you become a peaceful YOU; help you become “happy at home inside and out”, and become someone who can “pedal with joy” even when the road is bumpy and the path is unknown. *Optional Supply Fee: $12 payable to instructor. Be You! “The Gift Of Being Yourself” We all have gifts within to live our lives more fully; Gifts that helps us express our deepest desires; Gifts that help us experience our inner beauty, strength and value. Would you like to know yours? Would you like to experience your life as a gift… free to BE YOU? Would you like to learn how to see the gifts in your children? This is not a class where I will teach you something, but a class where I will help you reveal something… that something already within YOU. This class will be an education and an exploration using 5 books as reference points to help you see what is already there… waiting to be seen, heard and understood. You will read just one book* during this 4-week class, and I’ll weave in the gifts found in the other books so you get the benefit of all 5 books in one. This is an opportunity to find ways to enjoy your journey of life, and discover the “gift of being yourself.” *Students will purchase their own book.
