The Music of John Denver

2:30pm

and Other Holiday Favorites TICKETS: WCPACTN.COM

The music of the late John Denver is like an old friend, outlasting trends and standing the test of time. Join acclaimed performer Jim Curry for this special holiday tribute to the music of one of the most beloved singer/songwriters ever to grace the stage. Tribute artist Jim Curry, whose voice was heard in the CBS-TV movie Take Me Home: The John Denver Story, has performed Denver’s music in sold out shows throughout the country and has emerged as today’s top performer of Denver’s vast legacy of multi-platinum hits. Jim’s uncanny ability to mirror John’s voice and clean-cut look takes you back to the time when “Rocky Mountain High” “Sunshine” “Calypso” and “Annie’s Song” topped the charts, and his popular music had the heartfelt message of caring for the earth and caring for each other.

Dungeons & Dragons - “The Wild Beyond The Witchlight”

Fairview Recreation Complex is proud to offer the roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons. The structure to the stories brings new ways to determine the consequences of the adventurers’ actions. Anything is possible, but the dice make some things more probable than others. Instructor: Quintin Burlingame. The archfey Zybilna is known to grant wishes to mortals brave enough to visit her abode: the Palace of Heart’s Desire. For information on joining the band, contact director Randy Frame at rlf1950@bellsouth.net, If you’d like to schedule a concert, please contact Laurie Kamunen Laurie.Kamunen@williamsoncounty-tn.gov at or call (615) 790-5719 ext. 2018.

The Williamson County Community Chorus is back for 2021! Formed in 2017, the chorus is open for older teens, adults and seniors from the Middle Tennessee area. In 2018, with just over 90 singers performing John Rutter’s Requiem for the Spring Concert, a YouTube video of the performance was discovered by a gentlemen with DCINY (Distinguished Concerts International, New York), who called the department to invite the chorus to participate in a performance of Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York in January of 2020. The Williamson County Community Chorus holds open auditions for adults and seniors each January and August for its Spring and Fall seasons each year and always welcomes new singers. Rehearsals are from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each Tuesday night during the season. The chorus is under the direction of Dr. Linda Bolding, an accomplished musician with more than twenty years of experience conducting adult choirs. Since the beginning of the choir in 2017, Bolding has brought professional excellence and experience to the Williamson County Community Chorus.
