Timberland Park sits on 72 acres that were donated to Williamson County by the State of Tennessee.
The park trails are old logging roads that have been left intact over the years, with the addition of new trails.
Nine different hiking trails of various length and activity level wind over five miles throughout the scenic park.
Open daily, the 2000 sq. ft. self-sustaining Interpretive Center at TIMBERLAND PARK uses solar panels and stores energy in batteries for electricity, rain water collection for irrigation, propane for the fireplace and a septic system for waste.
Stop by for a visit and view the artifacts and educational displays.
Timberland Park offers guided hikes, hiking trails, walking trails and a variety of nature programs. Most activities are FREE to attend but require online pre-registration at wcparksandrec.com.
This park sits on approximately 156 acres of hilly, wooded land in Franklin, just west of Main Street in the Leiper’s Fork community.
Phase one and two of development features 13, single track mountain bike trails, over approximately 6 miles, consisting of beginner to advanced flow and downhill trails. For additional information, park rules, a trail map and descriptions Click HERE

About James and the Giant Peach Jr: In this delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure, a boy and his insect friends take an amazing journey across the ocean. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of challenges along the way. For more information, contact Alison.Worden@williamsoncounty-tn.gov
James and the Giant Peach Jr. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

The Rising Stars winter production for 2023 will be Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins JR, based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations. The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.” Those auditioning should refer to website in early November for important pre-audition information and forms.
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00-7:30pm, beginning Wednesday February 1 at the Academy Park Campus.
