 The ongoing health emergency is laying the foundations for a new future on a global scale, and entire supply chains have been urgently called to reorganization. The world of design is no exception, where redistribution and fragmentation of spaces, hygiene, safety and management of flows of people will be priority conditions in the next period. Among the many topics under the spotlight, also that relating to the choice of materials, with architecture, interior and product design that open the doors to innovative solutions, able to guarantee the safety of people and at the same time high performance . Lapitec, the result of a mixture of 100% natural minerals and produced in large slabs, is an ideal coating material for current needs, because thanks to its non-porous surface it hinders the settlement of dirt and the proliferation of mold and bacteria . Its patented production process, and its green composition, give the slabs high hygienic properties. In addition to being easy to clean, Lapitec is a fluid-repellent material: a surface on which fluids flow, a property particularly suitable for vertical coverings where rain flows away and also carries dirt with it. In its composition there are no resins or petroleum derivatives, to the point of not contaminating the process water, and while its collections have very low percentages of crystalline silica (quartz) inside, in the new Musa collection this percentage is zero; it is therefore a safe material for the health of the people who work it.
