This is the the place where you can hangout to explore Chinese food and culture in Mahattan. It combines retail, gallery and restaurant. Inspired by the rice container in Chinese restaurant, “China Box� wants to become an another icon for a place where people can find authentic Chinese food, cooking classes, spices and comtemporary Chinese art.

The building is located in Chelsea connected with highline and close to Chelsea market, Whitney museum and many other attractions. There’re lots of people around this area. Since its unusual location, I decided to bring the energy of highline into this project.

Central hub is a transitional “In Between“ space serves as gallery, transport and cultural hub and even a meditation space functions. A mega staircase connected both the building and highline bringing live to this solid brick building and breaking the boundaries between floors and walls.

LOBBY I HOTEL MONTREAL SITE AND CONCEPT
Montreal is a city with history and fashion, formal and informal and with old and new. Sometimes people see the historical street with the history of hundreds of years but sometimes the most fashionable things catche your eye. I want to bring this city texture into the hotel. I feel that there are two attributes in the city—‘static’ which means the history and antiquity and ‘dynamic’ which means the fashion and avant-garde. The design language abstracted from the architecture in the city itself. Static includes symmetry, order and verticality from the historical classical architecture while the dynamic includes movement and asymmetry from modern architecture.

"Not using the potential underwater space"
"Function and spacial experience are same as buildings on land"
This is a floating house located in the Hudson River in New York. Water has lots of benefits for people’s living. I want to explore the relationship between water and people’s behaviors. There is a big difference between living on water and in water. Sound and light, which define the public and private space, change from above to below. According to the public and private needs, I putted different functions on different water levels. For this project, I want to give my customer an experience of walking into the water so that the space will be very open and boundaryless like water itself.

CONCEPT I elf STORE CONCEPT
INSPIRATION
elf is a very successful cosmetic products E-retailer. This is my design for the brick-and-motar store for the brand. In the store, selling is not the only thing but the experience as well. An exhibition area, bar, salon and beauty lab will be added in since I want to design a space where customer can touch, smell, try the product and even have a seat here during the leisure time. The most obvious feature of elf is the “ play beautifully box” plan, which means elf will send gift boxes including the most current products to their customer. I choose “Box” as my concept and putted different experiences in different boxes. To attract people getting in, I designed the interior in a really quiet and minimal way to show up the products and to have the contrast to its traditional outside space.buildings around.

The project is located in Hangzhou, China. Australian Center’s Lobby Areas present a luxurious interior aesthetic augmented by the tranquility of being in artistic natural spaces. Limestone cliffs are inspiration for powerful energetic elements, with the aboriginal Australian art unifying with the strength of the art and nature to create an experience of craftsmanship and serenity .

REBIRTH OF AN ICON
Carlsbad is a semi-arid Mediterranean climate which is ideal for rejuvenating the body and mind. Its history as a place of refreshing waters goes back to the 1880s, when a former sailor dug a well in the area and discovered clear crisp water. A second fresh-water well was discovered to contain water chemically similar to some of the most renowned spas in the world and thus town was named after one of these spas; the famed spa of Karlsbad. This rejuvinating terrain serves as the context for this property, inviting guests to slow down and revel in the local landscape. From the moment you enter you know you are somewhere special. Our design is about the connectivity from the landscape to the neighborhood, from nature to business, from the hotel to the ocean and hillside. Local flora and fauna frame the approach from the entry gate to the porte cochere. When the hotel comes into view everything is light and open. Stepping through the doors, the view across the lobby has a strong sightline that opens up to the sky. You are embraced by a comfortable hum of activity from the interconnecting public spaces. Indoor flows to the outdoor in a breezy sequence. We envision this as an opportunity to create a unique identity that could not be duplicated elsewhere, taking the existing Mission Revival style building and modernizing the design to emphasize the easy elegance which is so distinctive to this place and the Park Hyatt brand.

The hotel is located in northen San Diego. It’s been built in 1997. Also, southern California is known throughout the world for its sunny beauty and healthy climate. Within breezy proximity to the beach, the grounds of Park Hyatt Aviara are a lush setting for relaxation or business retreat.

Our approach to lobby programming seeks to create a unified and dynamic space where edges are blurred and guests are drawn to move throughout the space. By opening to the exterior where possible, we bring in light and connect to the surrounding nature. Utilizing scale and heirarchy we will set dif ferent moods throughout the lobby that ser ve to activate the disparate zones - the lobby bar will take on a more formal, sophisticated identity while the lobby lounge provides a energetic and casual contrast.
