Le Family Run : a new fun area ! Located on the Mini Loup, this beginner zone has been developed to allow all the family to get a taste of the joys of freestyling. The Family run is made up of two secure circuits separated by a green run and each slope has been specially designed for an intitiation into “freestyling”. WARNING: Selfie is obligatory in front of the “ LA CLUSAZ” letters!
Focus on… artificial snow Artificial snow is an essential tool now available to ski resorts. Despite being minimal in quantity compared to natural snow, it is no less essential. The snow you ski on is, in the majority, snow that has fallen from the sky. La Clusaz now has 215 snow cannons which represent 69 hectares of snow coverage..

The resort is a prime destination for skiers of all abilities, from beginners to advanced skiers, with 125 km of slopes linked by an efficient and up-to-date network of ski lifts over the 5 massifs. Beauregard and Manigod are particularly suited to families and beginner skiers. L’Etale and l’Aiguille will appeal to intermediate skiers with a love for good food and a bit of fun, and last but certainly not least the Balme is where it’s at for the experts. With an exceptional 1500m elevation difference from the summit of the Balme to the village, La Clusaz is proud to count itself among the closed circle of resorts with such an impressive elevation difference. *the kilometres are calculated according to the length of the slopes measured from the middle and include necessary turns.

5 KEER MEER PLEZIER ! Van beginnende tot ervaren skiërs, iedereen kan hier zijn geluk vinden op de 125 km lange pistes* die bovendien voorzien zijn van een efficiënt netwerk van skiliften, gebouwd rond de 5 bergen : Beauregard en Manigod zijn geschikt voor families en beginnende skiërs, l’Etale en l’Aiguille voldoen aan de wensen van gastronomische en feestelijke bezoekers, en tot slot is Balme de plek voor ski-experts. La Clusaz kan zich bovendien beroemen om deel uit te maken van een gesloten cirkel met stations en pistes met het grootste hoogteverschil: van de top van de Balme tot het dorp is er meer dan 1 500m om te skiën! * De afstand wordt als volgt berekend: de baanlengte is de werkelijke lengte gemeten in het midden van het spoor, rekening houdend met de bochten.
Aandacht voor… kunstsneeuw Kunstsneeuw maakt deel uit van de hulpmiddelen waar wintersportgebieden over beschikken. Hoewel het beperkt is ten opzichte van de hoeveelheid sneeuwval, is het zelfs noodzakelijk. De sneeuw waarop u skiet is dus grotendeels sneeuw dat uit de lucht gevallen is. La Clusaz bezit momenteel 215 sneeuwkanonnen, wat overeenkomt met 69 hectaren aan besneeuwde oppervlakten.

La Clusaz is well known as a great destination for freeriders where after just 20 minutes’ walk you can access breathtaking untouched slopes. Free ski touring and ski mountaineer enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with its magnificent coombs and such a wide range of off-piste opportunities.
Men vindt er een concentratie aan freeriders aangetrokken door een gebied waar lange, onaangetaste afdalingen op minder dan 20 minuten wandelen beschikbaar zijn.

Both off-piste, but with their own particularities: Free ski touring involves a short hike with the aim of making fresh tracks down virgin snow = priority is on the descent.

After 4 months of a world tour, Loïc Collomb Patton won his second title as World Champion on 3rd April 2016 (after the cancellation of the last event in Verbier for the men’s ski category). No-one can dispute this impressive victory after such a constant series of success: 1st in Chamonix, France, 2nd in Haines, Alaska and 2nd in Fieberbrunn Kitzbüheler Alpen, Austria. La Clusaz is delighted to welcome Loïc back with his second title as World Champion, we are all excited to find out what will happen in 2017! Tweevoudig wereldkampioen Freeride ! Na een wereldtournee van 4 maanden, heeft Loïc Collomb Patton op 3 april 2016 zijn tweede titel als wereldkampioen binnengehaald (na de annulatie van de laatste wedstrijd van Verbier in de categorie skiën voor mannen). Toch zal niemand deze overwinning, die extreme nauwkeurigheid beloont, betwisten : 1ste in Chamonix in Frankrijk, 2de in Haines in Alaska en 2de in Fieberbrunn Kitzbüheler Alpen in Oostenrijk. CONFINS
Les Confins, an exceptional location The Confins, nestling into the magnificent Aravis coombs above the Confins Lake, is wellknown for its spectacular backdrop and its ease of access. The Confins Plateau has the most visitors for cross-country skiing in the Haute Savoie and has been the official site for the World Cups from 1987 to 2016. It has 50km of diverse slopes for all levels in a beautiful setting with a 7km link to the resort of Le Grand Bornand.
Beauregard Plateau, a perfect spot The stunning Nordic area on Beauregard combines beautiful landscapes with a breathtaking view over the Col des Aravis towards the Mont Blanc. The perfectly maintained 8 slopes stretch over 36 km.
Les Confins, een uitzonderlijke site Gelegen aan de voet van de majestueuze valleien van Aravis, boven het meer van Confins, staat de site bekend om zijn omgeving en toegankelijkheid. Officiële site van de Wereldbekers van 1987 tot 2016, het plateau van Confins is het drukst bezocht plateau van de Haute-Savoie. “Hamlet of the Alps” is opening near the centre of La Clusaz along the Nom stream! The hamlet consists of two fun zones dedicated to Reblochon Fermier and the evolution of skiing from the beginning to the present day. There is also a traditional oven, loft and sawmill.

Vlakbij het centrum van La Clusaz, aan een stroom met dezelfde naam, opent « Hameau des Alpes » zijn deuren ! Het gehucht bestaat uit twee recreatiegebieden gewijd aan Reblochon Fermier en de evolutie van het skiën door de eeuwen heen, een gemeenschappelijke houtoven, traditionele graanschuren en een oude zagerij.

Le Reblochon Laitier, made once a day in a cooperative with milk from several farms. Identified by a red casein disk.

Imagine tomorrow to succeed today is the event’s tagline! 300 participants and 40 speakers will listen, share, learn, and enjoy great moments with the best specialists from 23rd to 25th January 2017 in La Clusaz. Why La Clusaz? The access is easy for participants coming from all over Europe to one of the most sought and charming resorts in the Alps. It makes also sense as La Clusaz is a connected village, very active in the digital industry. The whole resort will be ready to accommodate the best ambassadors of this new world.

WI F I I S F REE I N * LA C LU SAZ Last winter; the resort developed a WiFi network installing several WiFi hotspots round the village and the slopes, from the ice rink to the Bossonet via the Church square and the aqua park. The departure and arrival platforms of the Balme Cable car are also equipped. *The first half hour of connection is free for each user every week. You can then purchase your choice of connection via the web portal or direct from the Tourist Office.
G RAT I S* WI FI I N LA C LU SAZ Om ervoor te zorgen dat u zoveel mogelijk kan profiteren van een gemakkelijke toegang tot draadloos internet (WIFI), heeft het station vorige winter meerdere « WIFI-punten » in het dorp maar ook in de buurt van de pistes ontwikkeld : van de ijsbaan in Bossonnet tot het kerkplein of het zwembadcomplex. De vertrek -en aankomstplatformen van de kabelbaan in Balme staan ook in verbinding. * Elke week is de toegang tot deze dienst het eerste half uur gratis voor elke gebruiker. Deze kan dan vervolgens een skipas naar keuze kopen rechtstreeks via de specifieke portaalsite of door zich te wenden tot de toeristische dienst.
