La Clusaz, winter sports and champions… Snowsports activities have evolved enormously since they first came on the scene at the beginning of the century. In a great sound and lights show, retrace the steps of the snowsports evolution!
Over the years, this event has become a real institution for both the village and its inhabitants! Everyone comes to the party. A fitting Rio carnival atmosphere takes hold of the streets of La Clusaz!
April 28th and 29th Over two days, the Défi Foly attracts more than 150 somewhat crazy sportsmen and women, who will attempt to cross the Confins Lake in La Clusaz. The event hosts two main competitions, the waterslide challenge and the Unidentified Sliding Objects (OGNI).

“Hands-Free” Ski Pass The Hands-Free ski pass is a microchip card which makes using the ski lifts quicker and easier. It can be recharged online as many times as you like, so that you don’t need to go to the ski pass office in resort. The HandsFree microchip card costs just 1,50 €, can be used for future visits, be recharged limitlessly and is valid for all types of ski pass. Advantages of the Hands-Free ski pass • Simple: No more time wasted queuing to buy your ski pass! Buy and recharge your microchip card from the comfort of your own home by logging onto www.skipasslaclusaz.com This leaves you more time to enjoy your day’s skiing! • Fast: You’ll find it much faster to use the ski lifts. Ski passes are checked automatically, meaning any queues are a lot shorter. • Freedom: Put your ski pass inside your jacket, on the top left hand side. It will be remotely detected by the terminals, which automatically open the turnstiles. And you don’t need to worry about losing it all the time because you no longer need to keep

• The La Clusaz ski area extends over 4 massifs: Beauregard - Étale - Aiguille - Balme. • The Manigod ski area includes the La Croix-Fry and Merdassier sectors.
These two connected areas comprise a total of 84 runs and 54 ski lifts, the tops of which reach up to an altitude of 2,600 metres,and provide 1,500 metres of descents, as well as breath-taking views of Mont Blanc. The La Clusaz and Manigod ski areas are connected to the Grand-Bornand ski area in the Aravis massif via special ski passes.
