La Clusaz Free Sessions – 3nd year “La Clusaz Free Sessions” brings together the worlds of freeride and freestyle, mixing up the teams and events in a lively, fun atmosphere! Mixed teams, comprised of freeriders and freestylers will compete against each other for 3 days in a freeride competition with mind-blowing evening jib sessions.
La Grimpée du Loup Every year this major night-time event attracts more than 150 participants. The general public is invited to come and watch the spectacular start to the race and follow one of the key ski mountaineering competitions of the winter.

December 18th and 19th On december 18th and 19th, the fabulous nordic area of Les Confins will once again welcome the greatest champions for a new stage of the 2010 World Cup. On that day, Vincent Vittoz, the local hero, will be under the limelight, ready for new performances.

Défi Foly - 24nd year
April 30th and May 1st Over the years, this end of season event has become unmissable, attracting more than 150 somewhat crazy sportsmen and women, who will attempt to cross the Confins Lake in La Clusaz. The event hosts two main competitions, the waterslide challenge and the Unidentified Sliding Objects (OGNI). Every year, more than 5000 spectators head to the Confins Lake to watch.
From december 22nd to 31st Will see the 13rd year of this festival, which is dedicated to children and is totally free of charge. Christmas magic will fill the air in La Clusaz for ten days, whilst Father Christmas and his helpers set up home on the village square. A varied activities and entertainments programme will be available for children of all ages every day. Experience magical moments with street entertainers, story tellers, brass bands...

The Hands-Free ski pass The Hands-Free ski pass is a microchip card which makes using the ski lifts quicker and easier. It can be recharged online. The Hands-Free microchip card costs just 1.50 €, can be used for future visits, be recharged limitlessly and is valid for all types of ski pass. Advantages of the Hands-Free ski pass: . Simplicity: you buy and reload your pass directly from home by surfing on www.skipasslaclusaz.com . Fast: you’ll find it much faster to use the ski lifts. Ski passes are checked automatically, meaning any queues are a lot shorter. . Freedom: put your ski pass inside your jacket, on the top left hand side. It will be remotely detected by the terminals, which automatically open the turnstiles. La Clusaz-Manigod ski area The La Clusaz ski area is comprised of 4 massifs: Beauregard, Etale, Aiguille and Balme. The Manigod ski area comprises the sectors of La Croix-Fry and Merdassier. These two interconnected areas offer a total of 84 ski runs, with 54 ski lifts reaching up to an altitude of 2600 metres, a vertical drop of 1500 metres and unrestricted views over Mont Blanc.
