Life has so many chapters, so try to slow down and really embrace your engagement.
BRIDE: LESLIE
Houston residents Leslie and A.J. met in 2021 at ACL music festival in Austin, Texas. Introduced by mutual friends, the pair opted to stay back and enjoy George Strait's performance while their friends hurried to another stage. That night, Leslie and A.J. sang, danced and bought matching T-shirts. The two shared their first kiss, and a simple exchange of phone numbers turned into a lifelong romance.
Leslie and A.J. embarked on a spontaneous trip to Mallorca, Spain, in 2023. Despite Leslie's certainty that a proposal was not on the agenda, A.J. had planned the perfect moment. Amidst the breathtaking Mediterranean sunset, A.J. got down on one knee and asked Leslie to be his forever. A local photographer captured their joy, tears, laughter and celebratory Champagne pop.
On May 4, 2024, after the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in a traditional church ceremony in Houston, guests were ushered to Le Tesserae for a grand reception. Leslie and A.J. had the honor of being the first couple to celebrate their marriage at this exquisite new venue in Houston.
The venue's old-world charm and modern design perfectly complemented the couple's black and white color palette with mixed metals. The reception space was adorned with blooming florals, white wisteria and soft candlelight, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere. Leslie slipped into an elegant Galia Lahav after-party dress as the evening continued, ensuring the festivities continued in style.

GROOM: KEVIN
Former Fox 26 News Reporter Natalie Hee and Kevin's love story began in Austin, where they met through a dating app during their undergraduate years. Their connection reignited four years later when Kevin, seeing Natalie on the news, reached out to her on social media. From that moment, sparks flew.
After two years of dating, Kevin planned a romantic trip to Las Vegas. Overlooking the Bellagio Fountains, he surprised Natalie with a heartfelt proposal, marking the beginning of their journey forever.
Before their wedding, Natalie and Kevin honored their heritage with an intimate tea ceremony, donning traditional red garments. On January 27, 2024, they exchanged vows under the iconic oak tree at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa. The al fresco ceremony, illuminated by dazzling lights, featured a color palette of blue, white, gold and pink accents.
The ballroom at The Houstonian was transformed with twinkling disco balls and a lush hanging garden over the checkered dance floor. Live wedding painter Rendered Moments captured their first dance on canvas, adding a unique touch to their celebration. A special highlight from their wedding day? “Our dads' speeches and traditional Malaysian Yam Seng toast,” the bride says.
Natalie and Kevin cut into a stunning five-tier white wedding cake by Susie's Cakes as Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band's electrifying tunes filled the ballroom. The celebration concluded with a late-night ramen bar, followed by a lively second line band exit that paid homage to Natalie's New Orleans roots.

SADI
Leah and Sadi met on their first day of law school at the University of Houston in 2017. They were instantly drawn to each other and set a dinner date for that weekend. To their surprise, they were seated next to Sadi's parents, creating an unexpected memorable start to their relationship.
The bride says, "Ever since that moment, we have been inseparable, and, after many late nights studying, passing the Texas Bar Exam, and an LLM at Georgetown, we were engaged in 2022."
For their engagement in London, Sadi woke Leah with a heartfelt proposal. "I jumped out of bed and immediately said 'yes!'" Leah says. They celebrated with Champagne, breakfast and five dozen pink English roses.
On January 27, 2024, the couple said "I do" at Corinthian Houston. Leah and her bridesmaids dressed and primped at Hotel ICON, where she shared a sweet first look with her father. The ceremony and reception featured green and ivory tones, with warm lighting by Bright Star Productions. The celebration continued as they danced into the night in The Vault at Corinthian Houston. The bride says, "I think what really made our wedding unique was the blend of Persian-American cultures. We took a lot of Persian traditions, modernized them, and made them our own, including our beautiful blended ceremony and Sofreh Aghd."

BRIDE: ANGELICA
Angelica and Alex connected on a dating app in July 2020. Their first date was a picnic at a Houston park, where they shared bubble tea with their lunch. This laid-back beginning soon blossomed into a deep love for each other.
Three years of dating later, Alex proposed to Angelica on March 23, 2023. The couple resonated with the significance of the number three. "Three is our favorite number because 'I love you' has three words," Angelica says. Returning from a High Tea date, the couple entered their apartment, where Alex had family arrange white flowers, tea lights and Champagne. In this intimate setting, Alex asked Angelica to be his wife. Their engagement celebration continued with a family dinner, where even their beloved dog, Ellie, joined in the joy.
The couple exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony on August 17, 2024. Angelica stunned all in a floral-laced wedding gown by Pronovias as she made her way down the aisle. Angelica and Alex took wedding portraits at the luxurious Thompson Houston, by Hyatt, capturing timeless moments alongside their dogs.
Their reception in River Oaks took on a luxe Asian beach theme designed by Beyond Bloems.
Pink and green tones, paired with lush florals, set the scene in the Vietnamese restaurant. Guests savored cocktails and bites throughout the night, while Angelica and Alex ended the evening with a private last dance before a sparkling exit.

BRIDE: AMANDA
Amanda and Connor first crossed paths at a friend's gathering, introduced by mutual friends. For Connor, it was love at first sight. He approached her that evening, sparking a bond that would only grow stronger. Months later, Connor asked Amanda on a first date, playfully letting her choose the destination. True to her personality, Amanda picked Chick-fil-A. From that night onward, their love story unfolded. And Connor still has the receipt!
Connor surprised Amanda with a proposal during a trip Amanda planned to New York City, bonding their relationship to the city forever. Under the glittering lights of the Empire State Building, Connor knelt and asked Amanda for her hand in marriage. The significance of New York became a thread woven through their journey, seamlessly connecting to their wedding venue, The Astorian, which captures the city's essence.
The couple exchanged vows at their black and white-themed wedding at The Astorian, known for its industrial-chic allure. Amanda and Connor shared heartfelt vows before stepping into the next chapter of their lives. The ceremony's centerpiece, a floral arch adorned with blooming white roses, hydrangeas and greenery, framed their moment perfectly, creating a breathtaking setting.
Their wedding day's chic and classic style flowed seamlessly into the reception. The tablescapes featured black tapered candles, warm candlelight and blush floral arrangements. The evening concluded with a private last dance to "Yellow" by Coldplay—a moment Amanda and Connor cherished as they took in the final moments of their perfect day.

The moment I met Saahil I felt a connection immediately.
BRIDE: SABRINA
Sabrina first crossed paths with Saahil in Waco, Texas, while finishing her final year at Baylor University. Living with a roommate whose boyfriend often visited on football weekends, Sabrina was introduced to Saahil, who would accompany his friend. From their initial meeting, a spark was undeniable, leading their friendship to naturally evolve into a romance just as the world entered the throes of COVID-19. Sabrina says, "When the pandemic hit, we just quarantined together and learned a lot about each other (the good and the bad) and formed an unbreakable bond as a result."
Saahil proposed to Sabrina during a ski trip in Breckenridge, Colorado, at Sapphire Point Overlook. Sabrina says, "With the beautiful snow-covered mountains behind us and no one else around, he quite literally could not have planned a more perfect proposal for me."
The couple married on November 18, 2023, at the historic Grand Galvez, Galveston, a venue owned by Sabrina's family, with a Great Gatsby-themed wedding. The outdoor ceremony overlooked the Gulf. Guests dressed in black formed a striking contrast to the white floral arrangements lining the aisle and altar. Saahil's emotional response to Sabrina walking down the aisle was priceless! Another highlight was their puppy, Enzo, serving as the ring bearer. "It was such a special moment to see his little tail wagging as he ran toward us down the aisle," Sabrina says. Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a reception that continued the Great Gatsby theme, complete with warm candlelight, elaborate floral arrangements and grand chandeliers in the ballroom. They ended their special day by dancing the night away and honeymooned in Hawaii.

After her joyful "yes," they celebrated their engagement with family and friends at the very spot where their love story first began.
On May 18, 2024, Katelan and Barrett wed in a stunning ballroom wedding at The Tremont House. The couple exchanged vows beneath a breathtaking floral arch featuring blue hydrangeas, white roses and lush greenery, creating a romantic, timeless setting for their ceremony.
The reception continued in the elegant ballroom, decorated in light blue hues, warm candlelight and gold accents. The focal point of the evening was a classic fourtier white wedding cake by Susie's Cakes. Guests danced the night away to fantastic live music by Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band. Katelan and Barrett's celebration culminated in a second-line parade through Galveston's historic Strand District, led by the band under the glowing Mardi Gras arches. GROOM: ERIK
Skyler and Erik's love story began at a lively sports bar in Houston, where they hit it off instantly. Skyler, a Houston native, was charmed by Erik, a Philadelphia-area hockey player who had moved south to play ice hockey at the University of Arkansas and eventually settled in Houston for work. Just 24 hours after their first meeting, Erik asked Skyler on a date to a small Italian restaurant. Skyler excitedly called her mom to tell her about the "cute boy" she was going on a date with, only to discover that the venue was the same restaurant her parents had visited on one of their first dates!
When Erik was ready to propose, he planned a surprise under the guise of a family birthday party. Upon arriving at Skyler's parents' home, she was stunned to find their pier beautifully decorated with flowers and Champagne. After she said "yes," their family, secretly watching from inside, erupted in cheers. But the surprises didn't stop there; a boat filled with more family and friends arrived, and they celebrated with a beautiful engagement party.
Skyler and Erik wed at The Bell Tower on 34th, exchanging vows in an outdoor ceremony with the stunning Waterwall as their backdrop. One special moment from the day was Skyler's father stepping in to officiate the ceremony, making it even more personal. The couple's party was filled with memorable touches, from fresh baby's breath by Lush Flowers to Skyler's mom's handmade décor. Skyler says, "Erik and I feel extremely blessed for the family and friends around us that gave us our dream wedding experience!"

T ell us more about SlimGenetix and the specific services you offer couples. At SlimGenetix, we provide a comprehensive, personalized, and genetically guided approach to weight loss, ensuring couples can reach their desired weight in time for the big day. Our approach is exceptional—clients typically achieve a 20–30% reduction in body weight, well above the industry standard of 10%.
How does SlimGenetix tailor its wellness and weight loss plans to meet individual needs? Whether you have a busy work or travel routine and dine out frequently, or prefer cooking at home, we tailor our recommendations to suit your lifestyle. In addition to personalized recommendations, SlimGenetix offers continuous nutritional education, strategies for building healthy eating habits, and behavioral modification tools. We are also excited to announce the launch of our new online course, Slim for Life: Mastering Weight Loss and Nutrition.
As a certified nutritional genomics specialist, how do genetics play a role in weight loss and overall wellness? Why do some people effortlessly maintain their weight while others struggle? The answer lies within your genes. At SlimGenetix, we analyze 77 genes that influence your genetic predisposition to weight gain, affecting everything from the hormonal regulation of appetite and the brain’s response to food, to vitamin absorption and specific cravings. By unlocking the insights held within your DNA, we offer a scientifically precise approach to weight management.
How do genetics help determine the recommended diet and or weight loss prescriptions you need? Most people know that height is determined by genetics, but fewer realize that 40-70% of our weight is also influenced by our genes. By analyzing the specific genes that predispose individuals to weight gain, we can create a precise, DNA-based weight loss plan.
What should couples prioritize to feel their best on the big day? For couples starting their life journey together, what could be more important than building a healthy foundation—embracing a nutritious diet, developing healthy habits, and adopting a balanced lifestyle? For brides, feeling fit, healthy, and radiant on their big day brings confidence, joy, and lasting happiness. After all, healthy people are happy people.
For some, the influence of certain genes is so powerful that without medical supervision, prescription medications, and a DNA-guided meal plan, achieving and maintaining a healthy weight can be exceptionally difficult. Understanding your genetic blueprint enables us to create personalized, evidence-based strategies tailored to your biology, setting you up for long-term success on your weight loss journey.
How can couples maintain the progress they’ve made with SlimGenetix? I typically divide the weight loss journey into two distinct phases: the weight loss phase and the weight maintenance phase. In the initial phase, I work closely with couples to reshape their eating habits until they become second nature—easy, convenient, and sustainable. Once the desired weight loss is achieved, we transition into the equally critical weight maintenance phase.
What are some challenges couples face when trying to lose weight or improve their wellness before their wedding? One of the greatest challenges couples often face is finding time in their schedules to prioritize their health. When health and weight loss become a primary focus, it naturally becomes easier to carve out time for grocery shopping, cooking, meal planning, and preparation. Though it may feel overwhelming at first, with practice and deeper understanding, these tasks will soon evolve into a harmonious and enjoyable part of daily life, contributing to both well-being and balance. Transforming eating habits and behaviors takes time, and I customize each plan to fit their unique schedules and food preferences, so the change feels more natural and enjoyable.
What does mindset play in achieving weight loss and wellness goals?
Mindset and willingness are essential for achieving any goal, including a healthy weight, wellness, and a high quality of life. For engaged couples, it’s far easier to establish healthy habits together from the start rather than to try to change ingrained patterns later. Physical and mental well-being go hand-in-hand, and feelings of happiness and peace are often rooted in physical health. It’s difficult to experience true happiness while struggling with health issues, so prioritize wellness together—be healthy and be happy. To make this journey seamless, I offer virtual consultations that are available Monday through Saturday to fit even the busiest schedules. In addition to regular appointments every 2-3 weeks, I am always available to my clients by text for questions, advice, or encouragement.

GROOM: BROOKS
Catherine and Brooks met at work when Catherine started as an intern. After two years of dating, Brooks surprised her with a proposal at Memorial Park, popping the question on the stones of the Emily Clay Family Scramble. Little did they know, the park where Brooks proposed would later become the perfect spot to celebrate their wedding day.
The couple married on April 19th, 2024, in a traditional Catholic ceremony, followed by a lively reception at Memorial Park. In a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown, Catherine looked stunning. Spring colors were everywhere, from their beautiful invitation suite by Bering’s to the vibrant floral arrangements. The reception, set under a tent in the heart of the park, was full of lush greenery and bright blooms in shades of purple, pink, orange and yellow. The seating was a unique mix of intimate tables, family-style arrangements, and even some couches, making the evening feel welcoming and relaxed.
Catherine ended the night in style, slipping into a chic white mini-dress for the final celebration. One of the unforgettable moments was their grand exit, cruising down Memorial Drive in a vintage Ford Bronco on their way to an ultra-stylish after-party at Emilia’s Havana, a part of The Annie Café & Bar.

BRIDE: MIMI
Mimi and Trey's love story blossomed when she returned to Houston in 2020 after a successful two-decade career in finance in NYC and Connecticut. She quickly crossed paths with Trey, thanks to a mutual friend who made the introduction. Trey's initial email sparked a connection that felt unmistakably memorable from the start.
"We both knew from the very beginning that this was something special," Mimi says.
Trey orchestrated a fairytale proposal in Paris, choosing "one of the most romantic restaurants in Paris" as the perfect setting. Midway through dessert, he captivated their fellow diners, announcing to everyone his heartfelt intention to ask Mimi to marry him.
On July 20, 2024, the couple exchanged vows in an elegant, garden-inspired afternoon wedding at the River Oaks Country Club. Mimi shares, "We wanted our day to feel very fresh, cool, and light and full of lots of green and white." The ceremony was particularly meaningful, as Mimi's mother escorted her down the aisle while Trey's father officiated, and they exchanged stunning rings from Tenenbaum Jewelers.
The garden reception was an afternoon tea party, both classic and sumptuous with exquisite Lily of the Valley florals, and a four-tier delicious cake embossed with Lily of the Valley, by Susie’s Cakes. Guests enjoyed a repast of finger sandwiches, lobster rolls, caviar potato chips, and other delicacies and a dessert table of mini lily-of-the-valley cakes, shortbread, macaroons, lemon scones and more! The happy couple will honeymoon in the South of France.

Your wedding will likely be the only time most of your friends and family are all together in one place to celebrate you and your spouse.
BRIDE: REENA
Reena and Ankit's love story has been years in the making. The childhood friends remained close, catching up whenever they were in the same city. Their friendship deepened during the pandemic, when daily conversations became their new norm. After their long-awaited first date, both felt it was worth trying a long-distance relationship. "Our relationship came as an unexpected surprise to both of us since we had been friends for so long, which, in our opinion, is the best way to start a relationship," Reena says.
In September 2022, during a dreamy vacation in Greece and Lisbon, Ankit planned the perfect proposal in Santorini. "I don't remember anything he said, but I do remember his face, the beautiful weather, scenic view, and, of course, how much love I felt for him in that moment. And, of course, the ring!" Reena says.
The couple celebrated their union in November 2023 with a traditional Indian wedding. The festivities kicked off with a colorful sangeet at The Astorian, with dancing and performances. The wedding ceremony was held at the stunning Corinthian Houston, which was adorned with soft-hued florals and verdant greenery.
An intimate cocktail hour followed in The Vault at Corinthian Houston before the grand reception, which dazzled in silver, black and blue. "We spent a lot of time practicing our first dance, so getting to perform that was fun and exciting," Reena says. The couple's wedding was made even more memorable, with family and friends traveling from around the world and sharing in a joyful week of festivities together.

BRIDE: HAYLEY
Hayley and Jared's story began on a party barge in Austin, where they bonded over a lighthearted game of beer pong. Hayley humorously confessed, "I'm not very good at beer pong, but I am really good at virtual iPhone beer pong." Intrigued by her playful nature, Jared asked for her number, sparking the beginning of their love story.
Jared orchestrated a heartfelt proposal in Houston, cleverly disguised as a family photo shoot. During the photos, he surprised Hayley by pulling out a bandana for their beloved dog, Pierre, that read, "Mom and Dad are getting married." With Pierre dressed for the occasion, Jared knelt and asked Hayley to marry him.
On March 25, 2023, Hayley and Jared exchanged vows in the glamorous ballroom of The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston. The couple pledged their love under a floral covered white and gold chuppah. Then, the couple joyfully walked down the aisle, which was lined with flickering candlelight as guests cheered for the newlyweds.
Hayley and Jared's reception embraced a chic color palette of white, gold and charcoal. The room was bathed in warm candlelight, creating an intimate atmosphere accented by arrangements of white lilies and roses that adorned the tables. A highlight of the evening was a breathtaking six-tier wedding cake by Susie's Cakes, decorated with orchids and roses.
As the night unfolded, Hayley changed into stylish after-party attire, joining Jared and guests on the dance floor, where live music and dancing kept the celebration going into the wee hours.
Relax and enjoy your day. Be present for every moment. Take it all in.
BRIDE: LETOYA
Grammy-winning artist LeToya Luckett found love when she met Taleo in 2022 through mutual friends. The pair was inseparable from the moment they connected, never going more than two weeks without seeing one another. Despite the challenges of a longdistance relationship, their bond only strengthened, showing they were meant to be.
Taleo knew just how to make LeToya's birthday unforgettable. He took her to Sedona, Arizona, her favorite destination, and planned a heartfelt proposal that surprised LeToya. "I was totally surprised and blown away," LeToya shares.
LeToya and Taleo's wedding weekend started with a speakeasy-themed welcome party at the C. Baldwin, Curio Collection by Hilton. On July 27, 2024, the couple exchanged vows at Le Tesserae, Houston's newest luxury venue. "It is such a stunning venue that encompasses the elegance and beauty we were looking for in our wedding venue," LeToya says.
Taleo was the first grandson to marry, and LeToya wanted to make the ceremony unforgettable. Ballerinas gracefully danced down the aisle, scattering flowers before LeToya's entrance. She walked down the aisle with her daughter, who served as the flower girl, to a live performance of "Have You Ever Been in Love?" sung by Hailey Kilgore, LeToya's on-screen daughter.
Their reception radiated warmth and intimacy, with soft candlelight and lush white florals setting the mood. Guests, including Houston socialites, enjoyed live performances from Lil' Keke and MAJOR and late-night bites from Trill Burgers. "Overall, the day was well thought out and very intentional," LeToya says. "Very memorable."

GROOM: BEN
Ben met Walker at a Montrose bar in June 2019 while on tour with a Broadway show. Bonding over their mutual love for Disney, they chatted until closing time and exchanged numbers. Ben invited Walker to see his performance in Aladdin, where Walker surprised Ben with a gorgeous bouquet. Ben's three-week stay in Houston, was filled with unforgettable dates.
Despite the long distance, and Covid, their relationship flourished. In June 2022, they both planned secret proposals to each other, while on a Disney cruise. During a sunset dinner on the cruise, Ben proposed with the ring presented with dessert. "Everything about this dinner was magical," Ben says. A few days later, Walker proposed to Ben with a gold fortune cookie enclosing a sweet message, on a beach with crystal blue water, soft sand and clear skies above.
The wedding day began with the grooms and the wedding party getting ready at The Laura Hotel, Autograph Collection. Ben and Walker exchanged vows at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park, in an al fresco ceremony with white florals and the Houston skyline as their background. Both their mothers walked them down the aisle, and their fathers served as ring bearers. "It was such a beautiful and meaningful part of the ceremony when they stepped up to hand us the rings," Ben says.
The celebration continued with a vibrant gardenthemed reception at Brenner's on the Bayou. Ben serenaded guests with a special original song. A special touch to the couple's wedding day were tribute cards placed on each guests' chairs, honoring the LGBTQ+ community that had come before them and made their wedding possible. LOVE WINS.

BRIDE: LILLIAN
Kurt and Lillian's serendipitous love story began during their radiology residency program. On Lillian’s final day of her first rotation, she decided to grab breakfast across from the hospital. As fate would have it, Kurt, an upper-level resident, walked into the same restaurant while she was waiting for her order.
“The chemistry was electric!” Lillian says. “That encounter led us to return to that taco spot every week for the next three months, sharing conversation, laughs, and delicious breakfast tacos!”
After a year and a half of dating, Kurt planned a weekend getaway in Austin to celebrate Lillian’s final year of residency. Despite the rain and fog covering the serene lake and vibrant fall foliage, Kurt suggested a walk before dinner. He led her down a dock draped with glowing bistro lights. At the end of the dock, he knelt down and asked, “Will you marry me, rain or shine?”
On March 23, 2024, the couple made it official with a church ceremony and a lavish ballroom reception at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa. Having started their relationship around Nowruz, the Persian New Year, they chose this special time to marry, symbolizing life, love and new beginnings.
The reception was a vision of elegance, with fragrant white orchids and blush, pink and purple florals, all artfully arranged by Plants N’ Petals, while romantic candlelight enhanced the warm, intimate atmosphere.
“My favorite part was marrying the love of my life in front of our family and friends,” the bride shared. Another highlight was the lively Persian knife dance before the couple cut their stunning four-tier white wedding cake, crafted by Susie’s Cakes and adorned with delicate white florals. The newlyweds concluded their magical night with a rose petal toss send-off.

BRIDE: CELESTE
Celeste and Matthew's love story began on their first day of college. Soon, they became close friends, spending time together on casual Chipotle dates, attending each other's sporting events and studying side by side. Their friendship soon blossomed into a deep romance.
After eight blissful years together, Matthew planned the perfect proposal while on vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado. On Christmas Eve, surrounded by snow and holiday magic, Matthew's mother stopped the couple for a photo. At that moment, Matthew got down on one knee as Celeste's family watched on FaceTime as she said "yes."
Celeste and Matthew exchanged vows on March 30, 2024, at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa. Before the ceremony, the couple shared a private first look filled with emotion. Their al fresco ceremony featured a soft palette of English pastels, complemented by the Texas Hill Country's flora and fauna, creating a romantic setting for their "I do's."
An elegant garden-inspired reception followed the couple's vows in the venue's ballroom. After dinner and heartfelt toasts, guests were invited to a "photo booth" outside the ballroom. As they entered a seemingly ordinary photo booth, guests were met with an unexpected surprise—a hidden 1920s-themed speakeasy. The space oozed sophistication, bathed in rich red hues and intimate lighting. With a bar, signature cocktails, a dance floor and plush lounge seating, the secret reveal had guests on their feet, dancing and celebrating the newlyweds in true style.

The
advice that someone told me a week before our wedding was, ' Only you know the details of the day's schedule; no one else is aware. So if things don't go exactly as planned, keep in mind your guests have no idea - only you do.'
Kendall and Mark met on a dating app during the pandemic. Despite living 300 miles apart, their connection grew quickly through countless phone calls, texts and Friday night FaceTime happy hours. Their virtual connection soon led to a romantic first date in Houston at The Rustic.
After relocating to the Lone Star State, Mark began planning the perfect proposal. He chose a romantic Fredericksburg winery as the backdrop for this special moment to ask for Kendall's hand in marriage. As the couple went to a wine tasting to celebrate, Kendall was surprised by their parents, who were waiting to congratulate the couple.
On June 8, 2024, Kendall and Mark exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony in Houston. Kendall made her way down the aisle with scrunchies adorning her ankles, lovingly crafted by her mother with fabric from her grandmother's wedding dress.
The celebration continued at the Petroleum Club of Houston, with breathtaking skyline views of downtown. Guests were welcomed with a photo display showcasing old wedding photos and love stories of the couple's parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents—Kendall's tribute to their families. The pastel color palette echoed throughout the reception, with hand-painted candles, table numbers and place cards all lovingly crafted by Kendall and her mother. Before joining their guests, the couple shared a private dinner, during which Kendall surprised Mark with a slice of pumpkin pie made from his grandmother's cherished recipe—a sweet nod to her memory. The numerous heartfelt touches and personal details made Kendall and Mark's magical day unforgettable.

BRIDE: BARBARA
Barbara and Julian, both born and raised in Houston, have known each other since the 5th grade. But their love story didn't start until they lived across the country from each other: Barbara in New York and Julian in San Francisco. After dating long-distance for 18 months and attending Coachella together, Barbara made the big move to San Francisco. She says, "After a certain point, you just want to be able to tell each other good night without a 3-hour time difference."
Julian's proposal was both sentimental and sweet on the rooftop of their first apartment in San Francisco. It was a spot filled with memories of cozy picnics and offered stunning views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge.
Barbara and Julian returned to their hometown for their “I do’s”, choosing the historic Corinthian Houston as the venue. Plants N' Petals created a gorgeous ceremony backdrop filled with vibrant shades of orange, pink and purple. Making the day even more special, Barbara’s best friend's father officiated the ceremony, and the couple wrote their own vows. "There's something very meaningful about expressing your love to someone in front of the people that love you both and want to support you," Barbara shares.
The reception décor was stunning, with bold floral centerpieces and décor, including lush greenery, bright florals and even disco balls over the dance floor. The couple had taken dance lessons together and one of the most memorable moments for them was their first dance, cheered on by their guests. The couple danced the night away, surrounded by their loved ones, ending their special day on a high note.

Decide early on what your top three non-negotiable priorities are for your wedding day.
BRIDE: KAILYN
Kailyn met Aaron at Camp Ozark in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, where they both worked, in the summer of 2017. At first, she wasn’t interested in his confident charm, but as the summer went on and he playfully pursued her, her feelings began to change. Their connection deepened through late-night calls, bridging the miles between her time in Baton Rouge and Aaron’s new job in Austin.
After more than four years of dating, Aaron surprised her with a heartfelt proposal during a “Christmas photoshoot” ruse in Kailyn’s hometown, with both families in attendance.
Their wedding day was a vibrant celebration at The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston. The ceremony took place against the picturesque Waterwall, followed by a cocktail hour and a lively reception in the two main ballrooms, featuring a palette of blue, yellow and orange pastels with ivory. The ceremony began with live music by Scott Graham Piano, as Kailyn gracefully walked down the aisle.
To honor Kailyn’s Louisiana roots, they incorporated colorful Mardi Gras dance props that added a festive touch to the celebration. As the DJ played “Mambo No. 5,” Kailyn and Aaron joyfully tossed beads to their guests. A playful groom’s cake in the shape of a pickleball court highlighted Aaron’s pickleball league. After their unforgettable celebration, Kailyn and Aaron set off for their honeymoon in Thailand, eager to create lasting memories as newlyweds.

Abby and Tyler celebrated their love with a dreamy wedding reception at the Thompson Houston, by Hyatt, blending modern style with unique personal touches. The ballroom exuded warmth and charm, with its exquisite décor creating a welcoming and intimate feel.
Throughout the space, a variety of blooms—ranging from delicate pink roses to vibrant pops of green—were carefully placed to bring a fresh, natural feel. The reception tables were adorned with draping florals, hints of gold and flickering romantic candles.
Guests were greeted in a welcome area, where a seating chart was displayed alongside small mementos of the couple. The stage for the live band was surrounded by colorful flowers, setting the perfect scene to get guests grooving on the dance floor.
The dance floor, featuring a chic square pattern in white and beige, became the focal point of the ballroom. Lounge seating was scattered throughout the space, giving guests the perfect opportunity to mingle. Behind the bar and dessert bar, striking backdrops of geometric shapes in soft, neutral tones gave the space an organic modern look that seamlessly complemented the minimalist style of the décor.
Abby wore a sophisticated white satin mini dress, complemented by classic white heels. Later, the bride slipped into sparkling sneakers, ready to hit the dance floor in comfort and style. Her sleek updo and natural, timeless makeup added the final touch to her polished look.
Charming personal touches, like cocktail napkins featuring their dog, and a delectable donut bar added an extra layer of sweetness to the unforgettable celebration. A guest favorite was the personalized cowboy hats given as party favors, adding a fun, Texas-inspired twist to the special evening!
