Faraz was a friend of Aziza's family but had never met her. So he was excited but nervous when he found out she was attending his sister's birthday party. The groom says, "The entire night, we were bouncing off each other's energy and having so much fun. I knew this was going to be something special."
Faraz pulled off a surprise proposal. After Aziza said yes, the couple went to her parent's house, where all their loved ones were gathered to celebrate.
The couple pledged their love on November 18, 2021, at a beautiful Nikkah in Aziza's parent's garden. The aisle was lined with lush white roses, leading to the altar covered in verdant greenery and bountiful florals artfully designed by Richard Flowers with The Events Company. The tables were topped with grand centerpieces and glowing candles for the al fresco ceremony creating a romantic atmosphere.
The bride says, "It was truly surreal walking down the aisle to my now husband, in front of all my closest family and friends at the house where so many memories were made.”
The couple continued the festivities throughout the weekend, including an extravagant Mehndi at The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston, followed by a beautiful reception the next day.

I often feel silly talking about our love story. It sounds like a Lifetime movie with all the fairy tale aspects. I'd been contracted as the photographer and Fede as the videographer. And so it was on a beautiful summer wedding at a Tuscan castle when this photographer met the videographer, and it was "something" at first sight.
When he proposed, I wanted to elope! I'd seen too many stressful weddings. But a celebration with friends was important to Fede. Our compromise: have Fede's dream wedding without stressing Aisha or interfering with her photo and video vision. Focused on our love, when we learned rain was forecasted for our outdoor wedding, neither of us flinched.
Even with the rain, the photos and videos were everything I had envisioned. And our guests played a significant part. I told all guests that we didn't have an official wedding party but would love for all of them to be our wedding party by wearing "the couple's favorite colors: black / white."
The first surprise came mid-dinner; disguised opera singers served wine and suddenly began singing Italian operas!
The second surprise: A flashmob first dance to a song recorded by our friend, Rabbo Scogna. At the end came the final surprise for Fede and the guests. My sister ran towards me and took off my skirt, revealing the mini dress. Jaws dropped, guests cheered, and off we went to party.
Back in the courtyard, our DJ transformed a Fiat 500 as his DJ booth. Between party lights, sparklers, and bubbles, our reception was a blast! —Aisha Khan

Max was Caitlin's best friend's brother, and they began dating in 2019. The couple soon became inseparable and got engaged at Tony’s restaurant, followed by dinner with 60 of their closest friends and family.
The couple had a lavish wedding on October 22, 2022, at the The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston. Their wedding date was significant to the couple. The bride says, "I was born on June 22, 1995, and Max was born on December 22, 1992. Independent of one another, our favorite number has always been 22. When picking our wedding date, we saw 10.22.22 on the calendar and knew that had to be it."
Caitlin walked to her groom in an elegant Monique Lhuillier gown. The ballroom was a vision in ivory, cream and dusty rose. The couple danced the night away and even joined the wedding entertainment on stage, including the Houston rappers Paul Wall, Lil' Keke and Slim Thug.
The bride says, "It was the most special and most incredible night of my life."

Ashley and Ronak, who met in Cleveland, OH, got engaged while on holiday in Italy, in the coastline town of Manarola known for its colorful buildings.
Ashley and Ronak celebrated their love with a bloom-filled Indian fusion wedding at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa on September 18, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, including their two fur babies, who wore custom-made Lehengas and Sherwanis. Inspired by Indian traditions, a live dhol player, colorful Indian attire and cultural Indian wedding rituals, their wedding was spectacular.
Guests sipped on refreshing Mango Lassi drinks while a dhol player and Bollywood music accompanied Ronak’s Baraat. The couple wearing red, gold and cream, had a traditional Hindu ceremony under a Mandap, a custom Hindu wedding altar supported by four pillars signifying Truth, Mercy, Meditation and Purity. The Mandap was covered in white, pink, burgundy and peach blossoms and trailing greenery. The ceremony was performed in Sanskrit, English, and Gujarati and incorporated other traditional rituals to honor the union of two families.
The celebration switched gears to a modern green, silver and gold reception. Ashley changed into a deep green Lehenga, while Ronak wore a sleek black suit. The Hyatt Lost Pines ballroom was set with white and gold furniture with a backdrop of geometric mirrors. Guests enjoyed North Indian cuisine, and the couple cut into their four-tiered white cake, decorated with delicate pink roses, while clay look-a-likes of the couple’s two dogs served as cake toppers. Ashley and Ronak spent the rest of their unforgettable wedding dancing the night away with their family and friends.

The pandemic brought this couple together in an unconventional way. Mitchell, a baseball player for the Colorado Rockies organization, was sent home to Houston after Covid first began. Madelyn and Mitchell then met on Hinge and had a Facetime date. The bride says, "We hit it off right away, and it was love at first date in an odd pandemicstate-of-world kind of way."
Mitchell proposed to Madelyn early in the morning to catch her off guard, considering she isn't a morning person. He covered a piano he had bought her from one of their vintage store shopping days in white rose petals and got down on one knee.
The couple booked a trip to Italy and eloped on Lake Como on October 28, 2022, which was Madelyn's lifelong dream for her wedding. For their intimate wedding, Madelyn and Mitchell focused on romantic details, like writing their vows in leather-bound journals, and continued journaling in them throughout their two-week honeymoon and ultimately gifted them to each other at the end of their trip. The bride says, "We found a floral shop in town and bought flowers the morning of the ceremony, exchanged vows on our hotel terrace and took photos on the lake and at Villa Olmo before enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner."
The couple celebrated with their loved ones upon returning home. They brought Lake Como to Houston by hosting a candlelit dinner and gifted olive oils from Italy to their guests.

"Our love story started at a time when we unknowingly needed each other," the bride says. Heather, a respiratory therapist, and Joe, in his residency for emergency medicine, met in passing through work before sparks flew. Eventually, Joe messaged Heather on Facebook, which he refused to admit until their wedding day, and the couple hit it off on their first date.
Heather and Joe moved to Houston and went through Hurricane Harvey and Covid together, which solidified their bond. Joe included their two sons in his proposal.
"Before Joe got down on one knee, he asked Drew's permission to marry his mommy. I just about lost it. Of course, Drew said yes, and so did I. It was so special to have our kids involved in such a memorable moment," the bride says.
The couple had an extravagant wedding on June 11, 2022, at The Astorian, beautifully captured by Ama by Aisha. Their grand reception was full of high energy and dancing, including a mirrored man at the Hora Loca.
The couple shared a few intimate moments. "After celebrating the night away with all our family and friends, we were able to share a last dance, just the two of us. Candles, our favorite song and my new husband in our beautiful venue to end the night. Such a magical night that we will never forget," the bride says.

Alex and Ryan both moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, at the same time and met on their first weekend there. They became best friends, which eventually turned into a serious relationship. The couple moved to Austin, Texas, in 2019 and began their lives together.
Ryan proposed to Alex on a trip to Scottsdale, where their love story had begun. The bride says, "We had a private dinner in the wine cellar complete with beautiful floral arrangements, bottles of champagne, and delicious food. It was the most amazing night!"
The couple kicked off the festivities the night before the wedding with an all-white welcome party, where guests wore all white while Alex and Ryan wore vibrant colors.
Alex and Ryan pledged their love on September 10, 2022, in an al fresco ceremony at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Beautiful florals adorned the altar while the rolling greenery of the Austin hill country served as a beautiful backdrop for their nuptials.
The celebration moved indoors for a decadent reception with jewel-toned decor. One of the most memorable moments for the bride was her grandfather stepping in to dance with her since her father unexpectedly passed away in 2019. The bride says, "I am forever grateful that my grandfather was there to dance with me, and I know my father was there smiling with us!"
As the evening continued, Alex changed into a sparkly mini dress and sneakers to dance the night away. The festivities ended with a grand firework show overlooking the Texas scenery.
Plan an unforgettable celebration in the breathtaking Texas Hill Country. Nestled on the edge of Austin, our resort is an enchanting wedding destination. Celebrate with your guests in the Hill Country Pavilion, a flexible event space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping views, or in any of five breathtaking event spaces.

From junior high school sweethearts to newlyweds, Abigail and Ryan’s love story spans 12 years and counting.
About a year and a half after graduating from college, Ryan surprised Abigail with a romantic beach proposal with pampas grass decor, white rose petals in the sand, a beautiful bouquet and, of course, champagne.
Abigail and Ryan had an elegant winter wedding on December 3, 2022. The wedding party got ready and took photos, captured by Erika Geier Photography, at the luxurious Grand Galvez, Galveston, before heading to their ceremony and reception.
The bride says, "There were so many special moments and highlights from our big day, but one of my favorite parts after our ceremony was doing the reception room reveal. Walking into the room together to see all the details was absolutely amazing. This gave us time to ourselves to soak it all in and to have a moment with just us two."
The couple had a romantic reception with warm candlelight, white blooms and gorgeous black and white tablescapes creating an elegant and sophisticated feel. Great attention was paid to every detail, from the logo drink toppers and fine cuisine to the bridal cake.
The bride says, "We wanted our wedding to represent the love we have for each other and make it a day/night to remember."

Jamie and George met unconventionally; through their siblings, who were also in love. After just one weekend, George knew Jamie was special, and the rest was history.
George planned to propose while taking a stroll in Jamie’s favorite park, but coincidentally and unbeknownst to George, Jamie was planning a surprise birthday celebration for him the same night. The groom says, "She stops to look back, and I'm on one knee, ring in hand, asking her to marry me. She's totally caught off guard, and I tell her how much I love her. It was the perfect moment; within all the chaos, time stopped, and it was just us." After the proposal, the couple went home to celebrate with their families and, of course, still had George's surprise birthday party.
The couple's wedding day, January 29, 2022, began with a precelebration of light bites and dancing with friends and family, per Lebanese tradition. The groom recalls one of his favorite moments from the day being another Lebanese custom the couple included: his family walking to the bride's house with music and dancing to pick up Jamie and welcome her to his family.
For the ceremony, Jamie wore an effortlessly modern Ines Di Santo ballgown with an intricate veil as she walked down the aisle of the grand church adorned in baby's breath blooms.
The festivities continued at the Omni Houston Hotel with a lavish ballroom reception. White roses, baby's breath and candles filled the room, creating a romantic backdrop for the evening.
A memorable moment for the pair was surprising their newly married siblings with a first dance, which they could not have at their own wedding due to Covid restrictions.
The celebration continued with delicious cuisine, music and dancing before the couple headed to their honeymoon to Cancún and Italy.

Cortney and Garrison's love story began as the typical rom-com plot; they constantly bumped into each other at mutual friends' gatherings. Eventually, the sparks started flying between them at a wedding they were both attending when Garrison strategically moved the place cards around at the rehearsal dinner so he could sit next to Cortney. After the wedding weekend, Cortney and Garrison's relationship blossomed.
Their love story continued with Garrison's romantic proposal in a Parisian garden. Overjoyed about their engagement, the bride says they spent the rest of their trip "introducing themselves as fiancés to anyone who would listen."
The couple pledged their love at the Corinthian Houston on October 2, 2021. Chandeliers dressed in blooms and verdant greenery wound the Corinthian's stately pillars, creating a fairytale setting for Cortney and Garrison's special day. Plants N' Petals filled the space with vintage red, aubergine, bordeaux, blackberry, cream and blush decor and florals while the grand cake from Susie's Cakes served as a focal point of the room.
The celebration continued with all their loved ones. The bride says, "With so many people coming from different places across the globe, it was important to us that our guests felt connected to our culture and traditions." The couple incorporated cultural dances during their reception, including the "second line," a West African traditional dance brought to Louisiana. Garrison's mother handmade umbrellas for the wedding party to use for the dance.
As the festivities concluded, the bride's parents gifted the couple Cortney’s grandmother’s vintage Corvette, which they had used for their engagement photos. The bride says this was "a special gift of love now passed down through the family."

Michael planned an intimate and romantic proposal, with dinner and a bouquet of roses waiting for her when she got home from work.
The couple had a grand wedding on November 5, 2022, at The Bell Tower on 34th. The Vietnamese-Taiwanese wedding had the bride in three beautiful dresses, elegant decor in a palette of dusty rose, desert rose, mauve and several traditions, all captured flawlessly by Amy Maddox Photography.
The traditional lion dance during the cocktail hour was intended to ward off evil spirits and bring blessings for a long and happy marriage. Of the chào bàn, the bride explains, "The chào bàn is an important Vietnamese wedding tradition where the bride and groom greet each table and are met with toasts, more drinking, and monetary gifts for good luck."
The couple set up a special room for dancing to Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band.
The bride says, "My husband and I went to the top balcony of the room to hide. When the band did the second announcement, we came out and popped confetti cannons into the crowd. It was a great way to start the party!"

On March 2021, Mac asked Katherine to join him for a relaxing weekend at her parent's beach home. While strolling along the beach, Mac surprised Katherine with a sweet proposal. After, the couple's families surprised them with a celebration filled with laughter, champagne and shared memories.
The bride says, "Galveston has been such a special place to me ever since I was little and is filled with some of my favorite memories. I am so thankful to have this special memory where the love of my life asked me to marry him added to that list to look back on forever."
The couple wed on February 19, 2022, with a traditional church ceremony in the same church Katherine's parents and grandparents married. The bride wore her mother's veil down the aisle and her grandmother's handkerchief and perfume.
Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with a "Big Fat Greek Wedding" at The Ballroom at Bayou Place. The party was complete with Greek dancing, an abundance of traditional Greek food and a dedicated coffee and tea bar with Greek pastries.
The bride says, "I also definitely did not expect to end the night crowd surfing with our best friends. We feel very blessed and thankful to have each other and everyone that helped us celebrate!"

The couple pledged their love on April 24, 2022, with a gold, pink, blush, ivory and baby blue-hued wedding. The ceremony was adorned with grand floral arrangements of hydrangeas and roses in shades of pink and ivory, designed by Plants N' Petals.
One of the couple's favorite moments was their French bulldog, Louie, who served as the ring bearer and rode down the aisle in a white Bentley. He had been practicing his duties for almost a year and did not disappoint the guests.
The reception continued the light and bright theme with fresh blooms and gold decor. Floral prints dressed the dancefloor, pillows and menus, perfectly matching the colorful centerpieces. The night ended with dancing and a sparkler sendoff, marking the start of a new chapter for the couple.

Distance made the heart grow fonder for Nick and Margeaux as their relationship began with many moves. The bride says, "Nick moved to Helinski, Finland, for a year shortly after we began dating, but we knew staying together despite the 5000+ miles separating us would be worth it!"
After several moves and the disruption of Covid-19, Nick surprised Margeaux with an intimate backyard proposal, followed by champagne and a homemade meal shared with family and close friends.
Margeaux and Nick wed in an al fresco ceremony on February 20, 2022, complete with twinkling lights and a chuppah decorated with blooming florals designed by Plants N' Petals.
The celebration continued with an elegant ballroom reception decorated with coral, pink and orange florals and warm candlelight. Greenery and flowers hung above a monogrammed dancefloor. Margeaux and Nick sipped champagne and enjoyed a 4-tiered cake from Susie's Cakes. Dancing and laughter filled the room before the couple's confetti send-off. However, the party was still ongoing. WHAT HE LOVES MOST ABOUT HER: her character and christian faith
Sharon and Daniel's love story is the perfect example of how it is never too late to meet your soulmate and have a fairytale wedding.
Divorced in their 40’s and 50's, Sharon and Daniel both found it difficult to meet people their age whom they connected with. After connecting on Match.com, they met for a long lunch.
The couple's seven-hour-long second date included a walk on the Woodlands waterway on a rainy and cold day. When Daniel draped his coat on Sharon and turned to kiss her, the bride recalls, "my knees went totally weak, and I texted my best friend, 'I'm in love!'"
Daniel planned a sweet proposal in Lake Tahoe during Sharon's birthday trip after six and a half years of dating. The couple wed on June 4, 2022, with a celebration in navy, blush, gold and ivory hues. Personal touches included the sophisticated blue and gold invitation suite and custom-labeled wine bottles and napkins.
Sharon surprised and thrilled Daniel, a huge Florida Gators fan, with the Gator’s stadium as his groom’s cake.
The bride says, "Our dream may have taken 7.5 years, but we haven't stopped smiling since that day. We are blessed indeed!"
