Family-friendly weddings - More couples are getting married after having children, so they are including their children in their weddings and their planning. Children are selecting the cake, music, and menu items. Menu items are more kid-friendly like mini grilled cheese, corndogs and fries at cockt ail hour, fancy mocktails, and Italian soda bars. For decor, children are designing table numbers and guestbooks. At the reception, kids have their own area with movies and video games or sweet teepees to rest their heads.

José Rolón, Owner, José Rolón Events

"We are seeing a return to formality, especially with the reception and table setting. People want the whole appointment on the table- from champagne and wine glasses to full place settings. Design will be focused on the landscape of the table so expect to see flowers setting on the table versus being uplifted into the chandeliers. Weddings are embracing a strong sense of romance, versus turning into a show and tell. Couples are also returning to religious facilities. More weddings these days are hosting the ceremonies in a house of worship."
