Victorian style ruffled collars, long sleeves and high necks will be in full force come 2020. Beautifully crafted lacing will still adorn the Victorian silhouettes, combined with covered button detailing which will fasten the fitted bodice. With an emphasise on personal style being key to next years bridal trends, as the fashion conscious bride wants to be dressed in the knowledge she is identifying with her own style. This approach will see more playful designs, with lots of tulle in mind. In particular, the polka dot trend will follow through into bridal wear tulle?s and complement the fashion forward bride.

I would say my favorite bridal trends are going to be transforming detachable accessories that accent the wedding gown. Festoons, sleeves, streamers, and elegant bows. Its gorgeous to take something off or add to the gown to give an entirely different look to the dress. Many of the brides are going back to a simple classic gown so a very crisp, chic, clean look is very HOT right now. A very feminine sheer bodice with a line style sheer skirt is also super trendy right now with lots of bows and feminine details such as dreamy capes or sleeves that drag behind the gown and will come off for the reception. Accessories have also taken a turn for a more organic simple style with maybe a simple chain in front with a small pendant and a clean lariat chain adorning a very low cut back.

Polished and bold silhouettes took over the runway during fashion week, and we also saw a lot of non-traditional styles emerge such as the bridal pant suit, florals, and puffy sleeves..

Capes: Several designers are including wedding coats and capes in their 2020 collections. This is a modern alternative to the veil.

Oversized Details: Oversized bows, 3-D florals and more, oversized details are coming in multiple forms but they?re all bringing t he wow factor.

Puff sleeves are back but they?re going big, big, big for 2020! Ideal for the fashion-forward soonlywed, the puff sleeves make a dramatic statement for sure. Bonus: many are removable, so it allows for two completely different looks if you want to have drama for the ceremony but be able to easily put your hands up for the dance floor.

Blazers: From perfectly tailored to more oversized-cut and bedazzled, there was a ton of variety but one thing?s for certain, the bridal blazer has officially arrived.

"Designers such as Elie Saab are leading the cape and oversized sleeve trend, that we are seeing more and more of. This trend is being translated into bridal wear designs, due to the fact brides are more fashion conscious than ever before, and would often go against a traditional gown for their nuptials. The runway has seen many designers such as Reem Acra recreate the classic tuxedo style jacket, which is another trend for 2020. As the tuxedo provides for a fashion forward, sophist icat ed and edgy bride."

"Well as a designer, I am always looking for what inspires me. There were many large poufy sleeves and sheer flowing dresses. I'm always looking for new finishes and new beading, different types of layering. I think i was personally impacted by all of the femininity that was shown. I'm a modern girly girl, but i love clean lines a bit of sparkle and gorgeous movement."

"Year 2020 is going to be an exciting time for bridesmaid fashion. It will be a celebration of the new soft and romantic hues that are soon to be trending in the industry. Be prepared for an array of dresses in pale yellow, melon, peach shades and pastel greens. Soft pastels are set to be popular this Spring, while Autumn-Winter collections will see russet shades coming into play. The colour trends of the year will beautifully mimic the changing colours of the seasons and moods of the Earth.

As years go by, I am continuing to see that girls are still being traditional and inviting their best friends and family to be bridesmaids in long dresses. Brides-to-be select a range of hues to match in a given colour scheme for t heir special day.

However, there is also an emerging trend toward less conventional styles. This year, you will be pleasantly surprised by modern jump suits. I predict that prom-style dresses, made of very sparkly glitter and sequin fabrics, are going to be seen more in 2020"

"Simple dresses, straight lines, very architectural. Sophie et Voila? is one of the most important reference in this style that triumphed in the bridal fashion Week of Barcelona last April.
