Make Up trends are favouring natural looking skin and rose gold and champagne hues. If you?re feeling brave and a bit edgy then coloured eyeliners and red lips are looking like they are on the up. Skincare is grabbing the headlines with new companies emerging bringing affordable skin health to the forefront and more accessible than ever due to competitive pricing.

The 90s inspiration is in full swing. We are seeing very clean, soft, very blended eye makeup, very clean skin, and either a nude lip (as in the color of the client's own lip, just enhanced) or rosy lips that also run somewhat into the plum tones. We are also seeing more color on the cheeks, which we love as artists!

Biggest beauty trends to look out for in 2020?
Glowing skin is staying but moving away from glitter and onto gleam with more balmy textures being used in an attempt to recreate the perfect post-facial glow.
An emphasis too on what?s in our products; how they?re manafactured, tested and packaged wit h more vegan and cruelty- free opt ions available.
What are your color palette predictions for 2020?
Unlike the catwalk neons we?ve seen, bridal remains somewhat more traditional. Red lips in all hues will be on trend and if not for the ceremony then most definitely for the party.
Top bridal hair predictions for 2020?
Simple hair styles, wether it be sleek and simple ballet buns placed at the nape of the neck (Victoria Beckaham catwalk) or neat unfussy pony club plaits (Erdem). For the less constructed bride natural hair textures are simply enhanced with little styling and product.

Braids are back baby! BUT not as we know it...Forget whimsical and think STRONG.
We?ll be seeing playful braids that incorporate strong accents of colour and texture through the use of accessories.
Although texture is still a firm favourite, you can expect to see the texture teamed with sleek and strong finishes for a more unique contrast.

Relaxed but polished low chignons, relaxed downstyles - loose waves, lots of movement, no super defined or structured curls, slight/ natural volume. Floral incorporated as hair pieces (vs. floral crowns), head bands, barrett es/clips.

- Deconstructed hairstyling incorporating braids and quirky accessories.
- Textured, voluminous, deconstructed up and half up/down styles.

And for the rest of the Bridal Party...
"It's all about the embellishments for 2020 think bespoke hair slides, jewelled bands or masses of individually placed pearls and stones."
Rachael Johnson, Founder & Lead Artist, Alchemy Hair and Makeup
We will be seeing more effortless "wavy" hairstyles that have strong 70's accents such as that overall "shaggy" feel. There will be more focus on playing with accessories and opting for low maintenance hairstyles that allow bridal parties to let loose and have fun! 2020 is looking like a pretty fun year...

More fun along with more playful looks overall with a new modern sophistication. Hairstyling is looking more playful for 2020.

Textured ponys! They had a moment in the 2nd half of 2019, and I see that trend cont inuing into 2020.

What's Out
Zoe Cornwell of Knot Your Average Bride predicts...
Although I love the textured and effortless side of all things 'BOHO' related, I think the 'pretty' and 'romantic' side of this trend is on it's way out.
The braids aspect of the 'BOHO' trend will still be current however we are moving towards focusing on strong, powerful women that aren't afraid to have some fun with their overall style.
We'll be seeing less Princesses and more QUEENS.
Rachael Johnson of Alchemy Hair and Makeup predicts...
Matte lips are on the decline and so back to the gloss for an effortless and needle free instant lip enhancement.
Bianca Sansosti, Owner/ Founder, Bianca Sansosti Artistry predicts...
Hair: Flower crowns, braids, extreme boho hair, very defined curls, big volume
Makeup: heavy highlighting & contouring, heavy foundation application, glitter on the eyes.
Claire Hones Make Up Artist predicts...
Tight over worked hairstyling which nods to a bygone age. Matte and heavy foundation finishes and black winged liner is looking more yesteryear.
