KS2 Christmas Performances Monday 16th December

Y6JF, Y5KO, Y4SM, Y3BC Tuesday 17th December

We wanted to take this opportunity to share with you our school priorities for this year. We are working on developing all of the 6 areas shown above and have set ourselves some challenging targets as a school to improve our practice. One of our main priorities is improving Writing. We will be introducing lots of new ideas to help the children improve their writing skills. We are really excited about our plans to develop the curriculum too. We are introducing a Project Based Learning approach. This will see

the children working on themes and working towards exhibitions where they can share their learning with you. We will also be introducing critique and multiple draft which involves the children giving each other detailed feedback about

their learning and how to improve it. We continue this year with the Achievement for All approach and now have structured conversations running through school to support the progress of children in school.

Principal’s Tea Party Our latest Principal’s Tea Party was attended by some of our Year 2 children. They told us all about how they were enjoying their learning about the Royal Family, including a science experiment about nappies for Prince George. They also amazed Mrs Hayes with their fantastic counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
